WTW WhoÂ’s The Enemy?

I’ve heard some talk lately about the “authoritarian cult”. That’s not referring to the death and destruction of Islam, but to our President and His supporters by our own beloved “Left” right here at home. It’s been said that a requirement of the Right is to blindly follow George W. Bush or for the Left to hate him. The terrorists share your hatred of Bush but lets face it after that they pretty much call America the Great Satan and then cite issues that may be considered traditional Democratic or Leftist issues as not compatible with Islam or outright crimes worthy of the death penalty. They include Women’s rights, civil Rights, Equal treatment based on religion, Humane Punishment and Gay rights. Must I go on! The list is endless when you think about it. We on the Right or moderates among us are not authoritarian at all. In fact we have been fighting for the left’s right to fight for their issues too. Denmark I would expect it’s fair to say is a fairly moderate nation a, liberal democracy with a tolerance and respect for human rights. It’s now the test case to try and destroy freedom of the press. Let’s face it those cartoons were not all that offensive. They are satirical, reveal evil and provoke thought. Satirical Cartoons have been very basic method and tool of a free press for hundreds of years. The terrorists are using your own hate of George Bush to defeat you. They hate the JOOO‘s first, Bush Second, and that gets you, but three through 10 all call for a good portion of you to die. You mistakenly project onto us the anxiety from the pure denial that this is a real war. Not just some imaginary little blip that will pass and they are just misunderstood. Liberal free society is not the game that Islamic law plays. This is what they would like to take from our society and apply to the Middle East.

Can it be mere coincidence that all this following shortly after Osama Bin LadenÂ’s recent starting gun speech? Remember Islam allows that you can make nice and deceive the infidel for the purpose of his defeat. I donÂ’t remember Hitler running on a platform of Rule the World, Burn London, Roast the JOOOÂ’s either.

IÂ’m not saying I want a person who believes war is wrong to go to be a soldier. This challenge must be met by all freedom loving nations. By satire, cartoon, opinion, free press, arguing, pleading, fighting, whatever youÂ’ve got, we are at war and we are at war because war has been brought upon us. At some point you have to make a judgement where the real danger lies. IÂ’ve made the judgement that he war has been brought to us and we must fight and fight to win. One by one the nations and good people of the world must come to the same conclusion.

IÂ’ve heard talk of what the Democrats must do to get out of the rut. IÂ’ve heard suggestions that they may have to return to the party of entitlements or new leaders, many suggestions. I say no! Look in your own heritage. Fight against those who hate freedom like you have in the past! Champion your traditional issues like freedom of religion, equality (Islam does not treat infidels equally), fair treatment of Labor, good working conditions, Fight Poverty, Do Infrastructure and civic planning etc, etc.

Many nations have been attacked, Communist, emerging democracies in Eastern Europe, Liberal democracies like Spain, France, Germany and Denmark. I implore you on the left. Look at what a stink you can raise over some number six buckshot and a bit of bad luck. Look at what was done under your leadership with Japan and the NaziÂ’s. The right is not authoritarian! We are for small government, low taxes, and fighting for freedom. See there we both love and have been willing to fight for freedom. We have that in common always or did. Do you still have it in you for one more fight for freedom? I hope you do, because IÂ’m afraid were not being left with much choice.

What I just donÂ’t get is how on earth Evan Bayh is trailing the rest of the Democratic PartyÂ’s list for 2008. Are you really that silly?

There have been some technological changes that have taken place over the last 30 years that means that we need to go about that a little bit different way, and this program is doing that.
But at the same time, I've seen no reason, as Lindsey pointed out, that we can't do what it takes to protect America while also safeguarding our civil liberties. If there are some practical problems, the administration needs to come to us and tell us what they are so we can work with them to address those.
But it is in the administration's best interest to ensure there is some neutral party overseeing this to make sure that it's done right. Otherwise, you're going to have a number of Americans out there who incorrectly think that J. Edgar Hoover has been brought back to life and that there could be abuses taking place. And we don't want people to have to think that,

Why do you push away the heritage of the Democratic Party for the nuts that cannot see that we need to win the war first? Play the role of opposition in a manner that is not counterproductive to the war effort. (Rusty would have said treasonous but I’m trying to be nice here.) Indiana, I’m jealous, you have a good conservative Midwestern common sense Democrat and I’m stuck with DICK. I saw a comment on this blog last night saying Midwesterners just don’t know any better. The commenter was buying into that Midwestern stereotype. Seems to me that you have abandoned common sense for some liberal pie in the sky “appease the enemy” thinking. Why is the heart of the Nation the only part left with any heart? Yes we may be less than cosmopolitan you could not drag me to NYC and I have no business being there. But when NYC is attacked that’s my countrymen and my country I must stand with them. So don’t come crying to the Midwest and other conservative states should we falter. We still have our balls and we are willing to risk them defending you. I’d rather be Midwestern white trash any day than work for the victory of our enemy. Like Evan Byah says, “We have to be smart”. Chris Wallace seems to think that was a shot at the right. Not to me it was a shot at his party and the New York Times. How do I know Evan is right about how Democrats feel in the Midwest? In the mid-west, the nation means a hell of a lot more to us than party. That’s a fact and I know because I talk to sensible Democrats every day.

A word of warning to the enemy, If they live up to their past, they will drag their asses just as long as possible. Then at the very last second, when they finally get really mad and snap out of it. Then we will all kick your ass nine ways to Sunday. You may want to think about just how liberally nasty these liberals can get once they judge that you are trying to take away their right to be a flaming liberal!

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport passenger lounge in Bozeman, Montana, awaiting their flights.

One is an American Indian passing through from Lame Deer. Another is a Cowboy on his way to Billings for a livestock show,
and the third is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived at Montana State University from the Middle East.

Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim, and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull.

The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table, and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face. The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around,
and the old windsock is flapping, but still no plane comes.

Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly, he speaks, "At one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few."

The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?"

The Montana cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth, and from the darkness, beneath his Stetson, says in a drawl,
