Founder of Islamist Forum Arrested, Terror Plot Against Swedish Christians Uncovered

Three would-be jihadis were arrested for plotting to a terror attack against a Christian minister in Sweden. One of those arrested was the founder of the Islamist web forum Mujahedon.net, known only as 'Mehdi'. The Islamist forum, like most terrorist websites, has a disclaimer that it is unmoderated:

We do not encourage "terrorism" [quote marks in original]. And we follow Swedish law and orders, i.e. freedom of speech

Interestingly, the three first met at the Terrorist Media website--a site originally dedicated to uncovering and unmasking terrorist propaganda which we've linked to on occasion. Notice that the url for Terrorist Media website includes "nukem" in it.

"Mehdi" has also been twice convicted on drug related charges and has served time in jail. Perhaps this is where he became interested in militant Islam?

One of the three men detained is a native born Swedish national who denies converting to Islam. His attraction to helping terrorists? It seems that something about the Islamist hatred of Israel and Jews resonated with "Johan".

The last of the men charged is the son of Bosnian refugees.

Muhammed Cartoonist's Daughter Targetted by Muslims

Agora, the place to follow the Muhammed cartoon controversy:

Rohde says that the 12 cartoonists have had their lives overturned and are now living in hiding, after receiving several death threats.
"And a daugter of one of cartoonist the was sought out by 12 Moslem males - they were looking to get to her. Fortunately she wasnÂ’t at school," Jens Rohde said.

I question whether or not you're just trolling by attacking him because his response was spot on. I work with a lot of liberals and I don't want to see any of them dead just because I don't care for their politics. 26 I'm going to make one last comment and then I'm on to other posts because as bad as the content of the original post is that sparked all of this discussion, the topic is just more of the same. That doesn't mean it should be ignored because I agree that we are fighting evil. I also am not naive enough to think that we don't have citizens here in our own country who are working against us. By this, I'm referring to the ACLU and the many other organizations that are partly funded by communist countries. These people do need to be dealt with but the last thing I would ever do is to wish a 'mainstream' liberal - the guy who thinks Bush=Hitler but isn't generally a danger to anyone but his own political party that he keeps pushing further to the left and out of the realm of sanity - to be killed by being 'caught in the crossfire'. I also think it's important to have a two party system because, otherwise, it leads to too much power and corruption. Both sides need the other to keep them 'honest' no matter how disgusted I may be by the antics of Hillary, Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, etc. But none of this has anything to do with my post on this thread. My post was strictly about defending someone who is most definitely not the liberal he was portrayed to be. Nor was there any reason to call him an idiot and ask if he was a man. dave has a history on this site and his views are in line with the majority here. Spending any amount of time here would tell anyone that few advocate the death of an American citizen and Rusty has reminded us many times to pray/hope/whatever for the safe return of the captured liberals in Iraq. If dave hasn't received an apology, he should have been.

Sweden Caves to Islamic Threats, Forces Cartoon Publisher Offline (UPDATE)

Wow, this is the first time that a Western government has forced an online publisher of blasphemy offline. What's really interesting is that the Swedish government cites national security as the cause.

There is a general call for solidarity for all Swedish internet sites by the Stockholm Specatator to republish the cartoon in defiance of the government's capitulation.

Â“We think that this was the best decision after we were contacted by the Foreign Ministry and SÃƒÂ¤po,Â” Anna Larsson, vice president of hosting compant Levonline, told DN. Freivalds told DN that Â“it is terrible that a small group of extremists are exposing Swedes to danger [by reprinting the cartoons].Â”

This is what happens when your country lets any one claiming to be a 'political refugee' in. Do you really think its safe to let those who are persecuted in their home countries for being too radically Islamist?

A Swedish Internet provider has shut down the website of an extreme right fringe party after authorities voiced concerns over a Prophet Mohammed drawing contest posted on the site.
Internet provider Levonline shut down the Sweden DemocratsÂ’ website late Thursday following discussions with both the foreign ministry and the National security police.
The foreign minister, Laila Freivalds however denies that the ministry ordered the internet provider to shut down the website. Speaking to reporters she said the foreign ministry and the security police simply informed the company of possible ramifications for Swedes abroad....
In a press release on the partyÂ’s website the party says it pulled the drawings after considering the consequences for Swedes living in the the muslim world.

Many of them use the same verbage as those in England. They can smell the stench of weakness. 5 Remember when, before 9/11, the Taliban in Afghanistan blew up the ancient enormous Buddhas? (They were apparently offended by them.) This was a watershed event and except for a National Geographic write-up I think it was largely ignored by the Western media. I think this cartoon fight is a similar watershed event. The abused housewife doesn't give up her rights overnight; it is a gradual process. An erosion of dignity. A gradual acquiescence to what was previously unthinkable. This is really important because we are losing our freedom of speech. And I read that US newspapers don't want to print the cartoons because they will offend. Since when did our news outlets ever care about offending??? I think they are afraid. THis is totalitarianism.

6 Patty, you are so right about the Buddhas, western media did what it always does, small brief report then on to "what bleeds- leads". As to the offending cartoons, they'll do anything they can to avoid offending the smallest percentage of minorities in this country BUT they think nothing about offending the majority of Americans, God fearing, hard working, love thy neighbor kinda people. Mike and IM, Forget the boot to the neck, Carter shoulda "pushed the button" back in 79 when those rags took the Embassy and the hostages. 7 I listened to two guys on the radio yesterday about this cartoon fiasco and a comedic performance made by one of the two. The other guy was demanding that the comedian apologize for making fun of the yearly hajj (that just recently passed) where the Muslims go en masse to a place where they throw rocks at stone pillars. When the comedian admitted he probably was guilty of offending some people, the other guy said, "I'm glad you apologize." The comedian said he didn't apologize, and he wasn't sorry. He merely admitted to being offensive. The other guy said, "I'd like to challenge that." I thought WTF? This guy is in total denial!

Apparently much of Europe does not realise the difference between Â‘freedom of speechÂ’ and unacceptable slander. At least Great Britain did not jump on the bandwagon like the rest of these losers did. While supposed Â‘freedom of speechÂ’ advocates chant on one side and Muslims argue for an apology on the other, I wonder whether this row would be so popular if it had not centered on Islam. The media has already proven to be islamophobic, and reading comments on this issue at this blog and others will evidence that many backing the newspapers are also against Islam. As stated by Omar and Aquacool, the inconsistency is that when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denied the Holocaust there was an uproar and calls for him to retract his Â“anti-semiticÂ” words. When a photograph that showed American coffins on their way back from Iraq was deemed offensive there was an uproar and the photographer lost her job. In each case action was taken against the so-called transgressor and the world did not come together to reprieve them, chanting freedom of speech and expression as a justification. The first consistency so far in this issue is that Managing Editor of France Soir, the paper which has reprinted the cartoons, has been sacked. No doubt many will argue this is wrong, when the reality is that this should have been the standard from the outset.

And you lie if you say that images of Mohammed have not been published for hundreds of years. Freedom of Speech Breaking Out All Over Europe: Dogs and Cats Living Together

Isn't this one of the signs of the apocalypse? Word on the streets is that French and German newspapers have begun to reprint cartoons deemed so offensive by Muslims that the offending countries should be a) boycotted b) condemned by the U.N. c) cyber attacked d) bombed.

We at The Jawa Report have been doing our part for some time. Vinnie reprinted the offending cartoons here with the caveat that he must receive the first death fatwa.

Our adoptive blogfather The Commissar is starting a campaign to urge the reprinting of these cartoons. If your blog hasn't printed them, please stand up for freedom. Better yet, enourage the MSM to carry the cartoons in their pages. They'll print Ted Rall's garbage, why not this?

We've also called for a boycott of the boycott by buying Danish products. But via Beth we learn that others are beginning to organize the effort with images for your blog. Keep it up and support the effort!

More Terror Threats Against Denmark, Norway

Islam is the only prominent world-wide religion which still adheres to the notion that blasphemy ought to be a criminal act. Worse, many Muslims, following the lead of Muhammed himself, advocate the death penalty as punishment.

A few days ago we brought you the news that the Glory Brigades in Northern Europe had threatened suicide attacks against Denmark. Today, word from friend of The Jawa Report Evan Kohlmann that the Mujahideen Army in Iraq has threatened Danish and Norwegian interests.

Settling for [merely] boycotting these cowards is a position of weakness that is indicative of a feeble nation that does not stand up in defense of its Prophet and the principles that it believes in.
