The Black Book of Saddam Hussein: 2 Million Dead

Lorie Byrd has an interesting post about a British Leftist whose view of the Iraq war changed when he read the new book Le Livre Noir de Saddam Hussein (The Black Book of Saddam Hussein). Saddam Hussein killed over one million civilians, and the book is a firsthand account of some of those murders.

It's a biting indictment of both the Hussein regime for the countless attrocities it committed against its own citizens, and the French government's support of that regime. Next to the Soviet Union (and later, Russia), Saddam Hussein's biggest arms dealer was France.

The book is especially condemning of Jacques Chirac's cozy relationship with the tyrant. Not surprisingly, Lewis Jones reports the book has been ignored by Le Monde & other leading French publications. You can read AEI's review of the book here.

Unfortunately, the book has not yet been published in English. However, it's publisher Oh Editions, has released several excerpts in English, some of which I've republished below. While the authors clearly come from the European Left--they repeat the tired arguements that the "neo-cons" were looking for any reason to justify the war, have naive faith in the power of the U.N. and its resolutions, and repeat the lie that the Bush Administration never mentioned human rights or democracy building during the lead up to the war--they do support the end result of the war--the removal of the dictator Saddam Hussein. German Suicide Bomber Intended to Blow up Her Own Child in Iraq

Do suicide bombers love their children? Apparently not. Three German women were arrested after they posted messages on Islamist websites in which they claimed that they intended to travel to Iraq to become suicide bombers. Not satisfied with blowing other people's children up, they decided it might be a good idea to murder their own children in the process. Der Spiegel:

German authorities may have thwarted suicide bomb attacks in Iraq by German women. According to intelligence sources, three women were prevented from travelling to Iraq after one of them had announced she planned to blow herself up in Iraq.
SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that German intelligence agencies have prevented three German women from travelling to Iraq in recent weeks. The women, who have close contacts to the Islamist scene in Germany and at least one whom has converted to Islam, came to the attention of intelligence agencies after one of them had announced on an Internet site that she intended to blow herself and her child up in Iraq.
After the Web posting were spotted, Germany's domestic and foreign intelligence agencies mounted an intense search for the three women. One of them was located in Berlin, the other two are believed to come from southern Germany. The Berlin woman's child was taken away from her and she has been put in a psychiatric clinic. The two other women were also prevented from leaving Germany. One of them is also believed to have a child.

11 Year Old Somali Girl Gives Birth in Britain

Echo's of Aisha, Mohammed's 6 year old wife? Muslims defend Mohammed's alleged honor by pointing out that a) Aisha was 9 when Mohammed finally had sex with her, and b) back in Mohammed's day girls matured faster.

Matured faster? Right.

The third option, of course, is just to deny that Mohammed ever did this and claim the hadiths are wrong. Which would solve a lot of problems. Or, maybe Mohammed was just a pedophile, in which case......

A MAN aged 37 has been arrested after an 11-year-old girl gave birth to a baby boy....
The man and the girl are thought to be visitors to the UK from Africa, possibly from Somalia.
The baby was kept at the hospital in a special care unit, and the girl was taken into the care of Hillingdon Borough Council. The man was not held immediately.
However, police arrested him in Uxbridge yesterday and he was questioned about the pregnancy. He was released on bail until July while cops investigate.

1 I don't know about the Arab culture, but in Indian subcontinent, early marriage was a widely practiced affair (even in the mid twentieth century). Girls were married off as early as 6 or 7 usually to a boy of 16-17. This practice did not depend on girl's puberty. The government had to enact special law to ban early marriages and the ban is also sometimes violated in this century by some superstitious people. If we were to compare medieval social practices in todays context, yes many Indian Hindu/Muslim/Christian/Buddhists were pedophiles too in earlier days. It doesn't have anything to do with religion.

It has plenty to do with religion when a "prophet's" actions are used to justifiy it in the present. When any action is attributed to a culture or tribal tenet wihtout bringing their God and prophet to bear as justification, it's one thing, but this is an action that is sanctified because their prophet did it. When any cult or sect goes back to a holy book to justify the action - whatever it is - it has plenty to do with religion. When that holy book is accompanied with other texts (ie. the Sunnah) that mandate that others should follow the example, it has plenty to do with religion. People have been killing each other since the beginning. Sometimes for greed, sometimes for hate, sometimes for love. But would we say that the jihadists killing of the infidel has nothing to do with religion because it's been done by others? Maybe not a perfect analogy, but close enough.

In the same way we also stereotype the Jihadists ideologies as ideologies of 25% people of the world. You will see that Muslims brought up in different regions and cultures act and behave differently. It is wrong to think that a Muslim's thought in Afghanistan and a Muslim immigrant's thought in US would be the same. It all depends on the person's education, upbringing, exposure and freedom to define how one takes one's religion. The real problem is with those Muslims who in the 21st century want to clutch to his religion, and want to define him/herself by the religion. Instead of regarding religion as a pathway with rational reasoning, he/she is more interested in interpretation of a 1500 old text according to his preference. We need to identify those areas and work towards bringing freedom, democracy and enlightment to these people, not indulging in the discussion of Ayesha's age or the medieval practices. 7 Rezwan, I think you're being a little contradictory in your last paragraph. By indulging in this very discussion we are in fact raising our voices against what jihadists fight for and that a glut of others apologize for. Aisha's age and the fact that this behavior is still commonly practiced is but one aspect of the ideology among so many that go against the very fabric of the rest of the world's advancements in the area of human rights. And you proved my point in regards to those who are brought up in other more advanced cultures. While they may see it as wrong, most do not speak out against it. They are more compelled to keep their head down and their mouth shut and when cornered on the issue they may admit quietly that they would not do such a thing, but will invariably quote the Koran and say others who do are within their rights. The day we cannot indulge in a discussion about the systemic abuse of children is the day we give up.

Muslims Attack Woman in Germany for Speaking Hebrew

Islam: religion of tolerance and peace alert. A woman was assaulted by a mob of Muslim women in Germany for speaking Hebrew in a predominately Muslim immigrant neighborhood.

The woman, who holds dual German-Israeli citizenship, was walking home after a party because she missed the last bus. As she walked home, she was speaking Hebrew to a friend in Israel on her cell phone. The Steglitz neighborhood of Berlin is home to a largely Muslim immigrant community.

At about 2 a.m. she passed by a group of women who immediately confronted her after they recognized she was speaking Hebrew, when:

one of the girls suddenly walked up to the Israeli woman and slapped her in the face. The other women then joined in, pulled her hair, beat her up and kicked her. The abuse eventually stopped when the attackers thought they heard a police car approaching, and they fled the scene.

The student, who sustained injuries in the attack, received medical treatment and filed a complaint with the police.

The women's identity has not been established thus far, but they were apparently Muslim.

2 Perhaps playing nice is not exactly what they have done in Germany. Most Muslims in Germany are Turks (or Turkish Kurds). They were invited in as arbeiters, guest workers. They were denied any ability to become German, and were expected to work and return home. However, as the years turned into decades, solitary men brought over families, and soon you had second and third generation arbeiters. Yet still denied assimilation. Entire neighborhoods in Berlin and Frankfurt are Turkish speaking. The second and third generation are caught--neither Turkish nor German, they are in limbo. As in France, they are much more likely to turn to Islamo-fascism than are immigrants to the US, simply because here, they are assimilated and welcomed. It is no accident that some of the worst islamo-terrorists are part of this European diaspora. It is not "nicey nice" to deny people citizenship who have lived and worked their entire lives in your country. And it leads to extremism. Our way is much better. That's what the Europeans should learn--not some bizarre lesson from the Crusader era!

The Moors in Spain were also an improvement in terms of humanity over the Goths they beat. In many parts of Europe during Feudalism, the common folk didn't much care who ruled them. Jews were significantly BETTER off if they happened to be conquered by Muslims than by Christians (remember where the Sephardim went when the Christians took total control over Spain and starting slaughtering Jews).

I was a history major in college, and I learned that the Turks were among the most brutal of all the conquerers with perhaps the exception of the Huns and Monguls, but as they were related peoples, perhaps the brutality was shared. I doubt whether most of these people considered the Turks a fair master, as the people of the book were forced to pay the tax, beaten if they wore green, not allowed to own a horse, not allowed to even protect themselves if attacked by a Muslim, and need I go on? The comparative advantage under Islam vanished as the West underwent renaissance and reformation. But for centuries, it was much better to be a Jew in Damascus than a Jew in London, or Paris, or Madrid. 13 I think the Arab antipathy for Turks that you reference has less to do with Turk brutality (which did exist--I'm just saying it was no worse and in some ways better than the rule of many contemporaneous Christians--a nuanced point that seems to be eluding many here) than it does with the emergence of Arab national identity, under delayed influence from European romanticism. Pan arabism grew up first in opposition to Turkish rule, and then in opposition to western colonialism. You're right, though, that even today, the Arab world looks with suspicion at Turkish hegemony, particularly given the historically close relations between Turkey and Israel. The Islamic world, which can appear monolithic, is truly a mosiac of sects, races, ethnicities, and regions. For what it is worth, Iraq is at the intersection of Arab, Persian, Kurdish, and Turkish spheres of influence, as well as a key intersection between Shia and Sunni Islam. Add oil to that mix...and you've got the recipe for a major conflagration. Too bad we had such simpletons running our national government when they invaded..."greeted as liberators"...uh, right.

Dutch Woman Evicted After Islamist Death Threats.

It seems that after their threats, Hirsi AliÂ’s cowardly neighbors supported the Islamists by filing suit to have her evicted. It seems they blamed her stand against Islamic intolerance for making the neighborhood unsafe. Rather than, you know, blame the murderous bastards themselves.

Brian at Hot Air: Hirsi Ali is the Somali-born Dutch parliamentarian whose outspokenness on the rights of women under Islam has made her a marked woman. Islamists have issued a fatwa calling for her death. And now sheÂ’s been evicted by court order at the request of her neighbors, who find her security concerns a nuisance.

It seems that the Dutch people are cowing to the attacks and threats by the Islamic militants there. DonÂ’t come crying to us when you reap the fruit of your cowardice. This will only embolden the Islamists and result in more attacks. The failure to take a stand will be seen as weakness, because it is.

6 I can understand the neighbours' feelings - if I had a family, I wouldn't want them being put at unnescessary risk either. However, given the destructive path that the Netherlands is going down, it's time to make a stand. Unfortunately making a stand doesn't come without having to make some sacrifices. Kicking her out is just one more example of bowing to the islamists out of fear of what they might do. The fact is, a Somali immigrant is willing to risk her life to preserve the Dutch way of life. That makes her someone definitely worth protecting, regardless of the costs.

Muslims Threaten Brothels in Germany

A brothel in Germany have been forced to remove the flags of several Muslim countries after being threatened with violence. On two occasions, groups of masked men threatened the owner of the whorehouse with knives. The owner has taken down the flags.

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time. Europe's largest brothel, the Pascha in Cologne, which incidentally claims to be the world's only brothel with a money-back guarantee for dissatisfied customers, attached the flags of all 32 nations competing in the World Cup to its faÃƒÂ§ade in a bid to demonstrate international flair and attract custom during the tournament this summer.
A giant poster covering the side of the seven-story, 126-apartment building showed a friendly-looking blonde woman lifting up her bra above the slogan "A Time to Make Girlfriends", in a play on the World Cup's official slogan "A Time to Make Friends." Right beneath her pink panties were posters of the flags, including those of strictly Islamic Saudi Arabia and Iran....
The campaign provoked excitement, but not the kind the management was hoping for. Men from the Muslim community came to the door complaining that showing the flags of Saudi Arabia and Iran was an insult to the Prophet Muhammad. Later, some returned in masks.
"On Friday evening we were threatened by 11 masked men who demand that we take down the Saudi Arabian flag," Lobscheid told the KÃƒÂ¶lner Express, a local newspaper. Not wanting any trouble, the brothel obliged and removed it and the Iranian one. But that still left the flags printed on the poster.
"On Saturday night there were 20 masked men armed with knives and sticks. They threatened to get violent and even bomb the place unless we black out the Iranian and Saudia Arabian flags on the poster as well," said Lobscheid.

3 Just to clarify that last statement... First, yeah morally prostitution is wrong. But being the worlds oldest profession, I really don't think it will ever go away. Now I don't know the laws governing prostitutes in Germany, but if they are like they are in Nevada, health checkups and such, I would think it's better to go to a clean whore than a dirty whore. Now I believe in capitalism, and these guys are messing with freedom of enterprise, by trying to impose their will upon the management of the establishment in question. NOT because it's a brothel and that prostitution is morally wrong, NO!! But because the flags of two countries in particular were displayed. Now someone explain to me how displaying the flags of these countries is an offense to Allah. An offense surely to someone of Saudi or Iranian heritage. But to Allah himself. Give me a F***ing break...No, these guys should have been removed from the street, fingerprinted, photographed, had DNA samples taken and then DEPORTED.

7 Well, we have a silly law down here in Texas that says if you threaten someone you will be charged with a crime. It is called terroristic threatening, and it is a felony. It does not matter whether you agree with prostituion(I don't) or not, it is a law that promotes behavior. If you threaten someone, you go to jail, or in the alternative, the person you threaten has the lawful right to shoot your sorry ass, which is the option I favor with these Islamic bastards.

Dutch Columnist & Friend of Theo Van Gogh Attacked by Muslim Youths

Ebru Umar has reportedly been attacked near her home by Muslim youths. Ms. Umar is a vocal critic of the treatment of women in Muslim societies, is an author of a book on the subject, and was a close friend of slain Dutch filmaker Theo Van Gogh. She is also openly critical of the failure of the Netherlands--and Europe in general--to integrate Muslims into the mainstream of society.

Ms. Ebru Umar, who befriended the late Theo van Gogh, has been attacked near her house in Amsterdam. (She lives a couple of blocks from my house, but for obvious reasons I will not disclose her address.) The attack was allegedly carried out by two youths of Moroccan descent....
Unsurprisingly, the culprits have not yet been arrested.

Ms. Umar has used confrontational methods in the past to make her points. For instance, it is reported here that she has confronted Muslim women wearing burqas in the past.

There is precisely zero news about this in the English press. One wonders if this is because attacks by young Muslims is so common in Europe--where they have been effectively ghettoized--and therefore not big news, or because the powers that be are afraid to talk about the problem? 11 I'm now working seven days a week, sometimes into the night, and that's not counting the paperwork, schmoozing customers, and trying to find and keep reliable help. My total working time per day is about sixteen hours, except on Sunday, when I only work eight or ten. The construcion market is so good that the only things holding me back are that there are only so many hours in the day, and that it's really hard to find talented people who will work. It's funny that there are so many people bitching about not making enough money, but who are not willing to expend the effort to do better. Those same people also complain about Mexicans taking their jobs. This irony escapes most people. Right now I'm estimating costs for two new jobs, itemizing receipts, and drawing up bills. I'll try to fall asleep soon, but as usual I'll keep waking up thinking about things I have to remember for tomorrow, and if I'm lucky, I'll write them down or put them on my new Palm Treo PDA phone, which is just about the greatest investment I ever made. The inventor of this little miracle should have a golden statue cast in his likeness and displayed in the Smithsonian. I might get four hours of sleep a night, but I learned in the Army how to thrive on that much, or less if necessary; it's no biggie. So, if my rants are somewhat disappointing, it's only because about 99% of my brainpower is dedicated to making money, and you'll all have to put up with a 1% effort on my behalf for a while. Don't worry about me, they haven't gotten me. Hell, they can't even catch me.

No Proof of CIA Renditions in Europe

I'm convinced this report will not get much exposure by the mainstream media.

From SeattleTimes.com:

(Brussels, Belgium) Investigations into reports that U.S. agents shipped prisoners through European airports to secret detention centers have produced no evidence of illegal CIA activities, the European Union's anti-terror coordinator said Thursday.
The investigations also have not turned up any proof of secret renditions of terror suspects on EU territory, Gijs de Vries told a European Parliament committee investigating the allegations.
The European Parliament's inquiry and a similar one by the continent's leading human-rights watchdog are looking into whether U.S. intelligence agents interrogated al-Qaida suspects at secret prisons in Eastern Europe and transported some on secret flights through Europe.

The left will likely experience chafing. Of course, the seriousness of the charges always trumps their veracity.

Most State Dept. employees have the option of getting out of an Iraq posting. So unlike many in our military, we can assume that he chose to go. And those of you who think that State service in Iraq is all limos and caviar are revealing your utter ignorance. In fact, state is trying hard to open up centers outside the green zone to aid civilian reconstruction. DOD has been putting up roadblocks to providing security. Another thing--if you hate the State department, explain why INR's analysis of WMD and of Iraq reconstruction was so much more accurate than any other member of the intel community. If you read the prewar NIE (unclassified), it is the INR's caveats and questions and claims that come out looking MOST accurate. guess those chardonnay sipping liberals are simply smarter than the beer chuggers at DIA, NSA, NGA, CIA, etc etc. Facts really are troublesome things...

26 Right, IM. My point was that many in the military (not a majority, perhaps, but a bunch of people, some known to me personally) did not want to go to IRAQ, and don't want to go back. Also, thousands of people in the ready reserve were activated, long after they had LEFT the service, and didn't want to go back. The difference is, you volunteer for both state and military, but once you are in the military, they send you where they need you. State has a little more choice, at least about war zones. So, duh, I was aware that it is a volunteer service. Did you know about activating people against their will? Your answer suggests not. But then, your answers often suggest merely the tip of the iceberg of your ignorance.

If his reply is accurately translated, his objection is that Giovanardi was being unacceptably rude. He might have also added impertinent, since the justification for the Dutch policy has nothing to do with whether the Nazis had one that resembles it. There is a logical fallacy here that a parliamentary minister isn't stupid enough to be excused for making. A policy stands on its own merits. If your best criticism of it is that the Nazis did it too, you don't have a criticism. Culling infants in a place like Netherlands or the U.S. can be attacked on moral grounds either by Christian or humanistic principles--that is, you can apply either the standards of God or Man. It would be easier to do the former, but still problematic. For one thing, the Dutch government may be reluctant to accept the authority of God in this case since He does not give reimbursement for neonatal intensive care, and therefore any demand of His to preserve badly damaged babies is tantamount to an unfunded mandate. Also, Christians overwhelmingly believe that God holds men individually accountable for their acts, hence no dissenting Dutch Christian can claim that he might be dragged into Hell if his doctor murders a child. Immigrants Required to Tolerate 'Bad Gay' Film in Netherlands

New immigrants to the Netherlands will be required to view a film which shows men kissing and topless women on the beach as a test of tolerance. Swap the two guys kissing for two hot chicks, and I might emmigrate! AP:

The camera focuses on two gay men kissing in a park. Later, a topless woman emerges from the sea and walks onto a crowded beach. For would-be immigrants to the Netherlands, this film is a test of their readiness to participate in the liberal Dutch culture.
If they canÂ’t stomach it, no need to apply.
Despite whether they find the film offensive, applicants must buy a copy and watch it if they hope to pass the NetherlandsÂ’ new entrance examination.

5 well.. if you live in Amsterdam, as i did, and you encounter many people from marocco spitting and insulting very much on daily basis on gay's and lesbians and other 'sexual' noticable people .. then i think actcually the movie should be a test too all people. On the other hand, in the small strict dutch religious villages woman are not even allowed to dress in jeans because of there calvinistic strict laws, so yes, some Dutch are also restricted too there 'burka'. It's not called Taliban, but Calvinistic, however there is a big difference, the calvinistic do tollerate absolutly homosexuals, but most moslims don't.

6 .. but the difference is that most Moslim immigrants are poor people looking for new future etc. .. so this is only a part of the moslim world. The immigrants in the Netherlands are not the usual people living in moslim countries, but mostly the poor ultra old fashion mountain farmers. The modern moslim people do not immigrate because they having fun in there own country including tollerance. So, the immigrants is not a common dominator of the moslim world, but instead are poor usually farmer people. Suddenly living in appartments in Holland where they slaugher their goats inside the bathrooms 6 floors up. And living as nomads within a complete different society (The Netherlands is one metropolitan) and they come 'from the country' 600 years ago. So the differences is far much bigger as, you, the internet reader, reading from your country can imagine.

My brother-in-law just returned from Italy and France and he says he has never felt unwelcome in either place until this trip. 39 I think a lot of what he says is maybe lost in translation. I left for very different reasons: Opportunity, and I hated PC/1984 Britain. I have never seen Somalis around where I lived, but we did have large amounts of Pakistani immigrants. In the U.K Pakistani's are often discriminated against much like Mexican's are here [blamed for immigration/jobs/overpopulation/etc.] There are certain cities in the U.K that they tend to settle, i spoke about Bradford the other day, and that was a no go zone, there were a lot of Pakistani's that attended a CoE [Church Of England] school with me, and we never had any problem with them in regards to religion. That was a long time ago, now however and Britain has continued to call for 'diversity' while having an extremely lax immigration policy [look at all the radicals openly preaching in the U.K]. Diversity often comes at the cost of watering down one's own culture, and history. If X amount of population finds my custom/history offensive? remove it, and apologize for it. The whole culture then revolves around tip-toeing around each other, and ensuring they do not insult anyone. I find Europe does not understand America at all, but believe me that's a good thing.

Death Threats Against Anit-Islamist Manifesto Signers

I hope this counts as a fatwa since I was one of the first bloggers to get on board the manifesto after Peter at Agora gave me the heads up. Agora:

According to one of the signers, the French writer Caroline Fourest, the threat was made this Saturday on the website ummah.net. It mentions a whoÂ’s who guide and a list of targets scheduled for termination.
The group urges its adherents to take their time but says it should happen soon. It adds that it isnÂ’t necessary to first have a Fatwa from a religious leader, such as the one Ayatollah Khomeini issued in 1989 against Salman RushdieÂ’s life for having offended the religion.
Â“The threat is simply not acceptable. Our Manifesto urges to resistance by means of ideas. But the Islamists have answered with threats of violence. A proof - if such was necessary - of their rejection of democratic debate and of their totalitarianism,Â” Caroline Fourest says.
She adds that the Manifesto isnÂ’t against Islam but against Islamism and the IslamistsÂ’ using the religion politically to oppress, for example, Freedom of Speech. She emphasises that the signers will not be subdued by threats.

So we're going to have to change them, whether they like it or not," the United States will not - and can not - win the war on terrorism. In any conflict between two sides, the most ideologically pure wins out over the long term. You've seen it for almost a century as communists kept rising to power when opposed only by mixed-government socialists and sundry defenders of "Capitalism" who seethed and cowered in fear of any socialist proclaiming a crusade for 'social justice.' Now you will see the rise of Islamic Rule in at least half the population of the world, for the exact same reason. America will grow a backbone, an ideologically pure one, or it will fall, not in a nuclear holocaust with millions killed, to a giant enemy with a huge military, but to a cockroach that we willingly bowed to, for fear of being thought of as intolerant.

They were both morally degenerate and equivalent. Our Liberalism is naive, which makes it fairly easy to disrupt... and we're fortunate that our enemies are so stupid and inept that they haven't been able to fully exploit these weaknesses. But I don't think the threat will diminish until our fitness has been vastly improved, and much of our naivete' transformed. But you know... if I'm wrong we'll throw a party.

10 1990-91: I supported pushing Saddam's troops out of Quwait, was not squemish about the "highway of death" but was torn on the decision to not push on to Baghdad as there would likely have been huge civilian casualties. 1995: I grudgingly conceded that US combat in Bosnia to protect the muslims was probably the right and moral thing to do. 2001: I was for hunting down the terrorist where ever they were, whatever or whoever they were hiding behind. Civilian casualties are an unfortunate consequence of war (which should still try to be minimized) - especially with dishonorable enemies who hide behind women and children as the islamicists do typically. 2005: My patience is running thin and not only am I acknowledging the difficulty in distinguishing regular persons who happen to be muslim from islamic homicidal bomber bastard who needs to be fed into a wood chipper feet first, I am starting to really not care. 2006: That's it! After bombing US, Spain and England and rioting in France and Germany in recent memory, CAIR and muslim communities around the world now whine, bitch and complain about how much they are suffering because of some cartoons published in one newspaper 4 months previously. 12 I have to say this is your own fault. Particulary the UK. Muslims were monecodled as they came with other asians, but you have to understand that those ones who integrated in the early days of immigration were not muslims, but Sikhs & hindus & some christians who were from india. The later influx largely from Pakistan bangladesh were Muslim, but the west just saw all browns as the same, and even once distinguished, you have to understand that we in the east kept muslims in line through violence as that is the only language they understand. Not to attack them but to defend, to stop them imposing their views on the rest of the society. To me out of al the religions in the world they are the least closest to god.

2 WorldNetDaily says its a picture of where the Democrat party want to take the US. I think that's half right considering practical political realities (expediency for power). They won't mind killing to solve social problems that don't benefit them, but more babies born without much hope mean more socialist control, and how much they really care.

3 I would need more information on this story before jumping to conclusions (I get a lil' pissed when no linkage back to original source for verification is available). Euros however (especially the Northern ones) have been in the historical forefront on forced sterilizations and later abortions as a solution to dealing with undesirables within their societies.
