Man, you guys are ruthless.
Oh well, I guess you gotta keep up the phony appearance of purity.

The Right Place: Ms. American SpyGo read the rest and sing along at The Right Place. IÂ’ve not posted on the Rove dismissal (or non-charge) yet. However it seems the left is mighty sad about it. See this comment on Good LieutenantÂ’s post.
(Sung to the tune of Don McLean's American Pie)A short, short time ago
I can still remember
How the "Plame Game" used to make me smile
And as I read those D-Kos rants
I got a big bulge in my pants
And thought maybe we'd get "Chimpy" for awhileBut then June 12th made me shiver
Fate became an "Indian Giver"
Bad news on the Internet
Precisely what I had fret!Oh, I remember how I cried
When I thought of Wilson's "outed" bride
Something deep within me fried
The day that Fitzmas died...I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for your time!
Sincerely,
Mr. Right
General Jack D. RipperOf course he goes on with his moonbattery suggesting we made al-Zarqawi ourselves. I was surprised he did not claim we bombed ourselves or it was Carl Rove doing the cutting in all those videos.denjudge@hotmail.com
Rove is a criminal. At best, he is unscrupulous, dubious, and unethical. What about the Alan Dixon incident? Why did Bush Sr. fire the man after leaking sensitive information to the press?
The Republican's secret??? Being able to, like Karl Rove, break the law and not get caughtÂ…
As you may recall I called on President Bush to reappoint Patrick Fitzgerald. A risky move indeed unless you are confident in your position. Judging from the digging I had to do to find the post not many conservatives agreed with me. Old Pat is a pit bull. He would indict his own mother for jaywalking to church on Sunday morning. I can see how he makes people a bit nervous.
But we conservatives want honest government. There can be no stronger indication that no crime was committed than not being indicted by this man. If he doesnÂ’t find it, itÂ’s not there. Shame about Scooter though, he wriggled himself right into trouble over a non-issue.
For Howie there is no better endorsement than passing a Patrick Fitzgerald investigation. Congratulations Mr. Bush for doing it right. No question now that Carl is innocent and that is what is upsetting the left so. You canÂ’t second guess this guy, look at his record. IÂ’ve seen calls for a final report. I doubt we will get one as Mr. Fitzgerald does not play politics. A grand Jury only accepts prosecutorial evidence to determine if there is enough evidence to proceed with a charge. To release grand jury info on a person who is not indicted goes against the whole reason they are secret to start with. So as to not ruin the reputation of those who are not charged.

American Thinker: Something frighteningly ominous has been happening on the Internet lately: Google, without any prior explanation or notice, has been terminating its News relationship with conservative e-zines and web journals. The overriding interest of the company is to get the whiner to STFU. All other concerns are secondary. IÂ’m not sure Google is leaning either way. The reason the right gets this treatment may be because some have a talent for/habit of running to mommy when they donÂ’t get their way. There just are not many of those folks on the right.

The bad thing is that Egypt has also jailed several bloggers and Democracy activists. Between a rock and a hard place I reckon. Increased democracy may allow a crack for the Islamists to gain more power. However, jailing pro democracy non-terrorist bloggers is not the answer. Big Pharaoh reports the response in support of the bloggers has been good. Keep up the pressure people.
ROME — One day after police killed a man described as the mastermind of an attack last month at the seaside town of Dahab, Egyptian authorities claimed to have all but broken up a group that bombed several Red Sea resorts.
Big Pharaoh :Just got information that the Egyptian embassy in DC was bombarded with e-mails demanding the release of Alaa and the others. Good job. Also Big Pharoah has some new readers.Update: There is a blog dedicated to Alaa and the others who were detained during the demonstration on May 7th. As I stated before, the Egyptian embassy in DC got bombared by emails from concerned average Americans. We are also suggesting you to contact David Welch, Assistant Secertary and head of the State DepartmentÂ’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. His email is: nea-ela@state.gov
Well, 2 years ago I was told that a blog was just something you use to write stuff in and pray that people might be kind enough to spend 1 or 2 minutes reading your rantings.Hat Tip: Instapundit.Egyptian government and US state department!! That's not what I had in mind 2 years ago!

CNN :The top Democrat on the House ethics committee, Alan Mollohan, will leave the panel -- at least temporarily -- while he defends his own financial conduct, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Friday.Hmm guess not. More to this than we now see, methinks.
Mollohan's decision comes in an election year when his party is accusing majority Republicans of allowing a "culture of corruption" in Congress.
Mollohan, of West Virginia, will be replaced by Rep. Howard Berman of California, a former ranking Democrat on the panel. Mollohan has denied any wrongdoing. The Wall Street Journal reported two weeks ago that Mollohan steered millions of dollars to nonprofit groups in his district -- with much of the money going to organizations run by people who contribute to the lawmaker's campaigns.
Also, a conservative group filed a complaint with federal prosecutors this year questioning whether Mollohan correctly reported his assets on financial disclosure forms.

NEWS24 : Secret Service spokesperson Jim Mackin said Wang had been charged with disorderly conduct and a separate charge of intimidating or disrupting foreign officials also was being considered.I kind of worry about being critical of W, some days it does not go over too well. But when your President has his head up the ass of a communist dictator it's pretty much required (plus It's Friday). See we are asking for China to free political prisoners like Hao Wu. Then at the slightest provocation we charge a person and are considering even harsher charges for political speech. Does any one else see the hypocrisy in this? We are falling all over ourselves to apologize for this when China deserves to be heckled on human rights.
Yahoo News : China "must know that this Bush administration is good at controlling crowds for themselves, and the fact that they couldn't control this is going to play to their worst fears and suspicions about the United States, into mistrust about American intentions toward China."Let me translate that for you. ItÂ’s a good thing Hu Jintao was kept busy yesterday for if he ever came to a complete stop it would have taken the Surgeon General an hour to remove George W BushÂ’s head from the Chinese PresidentÂ’s rectum.
China can now say,” What do you mean? You hypocrite you arrested that woman in DC. You have your nuts, we have ours. Get lost!”
IÂ’m sorry Mr. Bush for being a troll but itÂ’s all IÂ’ve got, make a few calls and have the charges dismissed. Worse than giving China a pass, you turned right around and did the same damn thing at least in spirit. Some times I wonder just what the hell our President is thinking about besides what he is doing.
Others : Michelle Malkin who is hosting the video of the hecklingand Gateway Pundit who has a good post on China recent Human rights record.
Chinese President Hu Jintao : We will bury you!

BBC : The 28,000 eligible voters, 60% of whom are women, are voting in segregated polling booths, a condition demanded by Islamist and tribal MPs.You bet you have Dr. Khader and congratulations to you and to Kuwait.
Women were granted equal political rights last year and will vote in full legislative polls in 2007.
Kuwait's first women candidates are 32-year-old Jenan Boushehri, a chemical engineer at the Kuwait Municipality, and 48-year-old Khalida Khader, a US-educated physician and a mother of eight.
"I am so pleased that I have become one of the first Kuwaiti women candidates to run in elections," Dr Khader said in an interview with AFP news agency.
"I have broken the ice and hope this will benefit the cause of women."

Dean's World : Dean mentioned a Venezuelan company linked to Chavez has purchased a U.S. election machine company. This is far more important than most people realize.MIT mathematicians using Benford's law have essentially proved Chavez stole the last election, in which Chavez faced recall. They calculated that the odds of the voter tabulations given happening without tampering were about 100:1.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) announced today in Alabama that he has introduced "The Constitution Restoration Act" (H.R. 3799), a bill requiring the federal courts to operate within the jurisdiction given to them by the United States Constitution as it pertains to the public acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, and government.I foresee some sticky issues with Constitutional rights and duties colliding. For Aderholt's perspective, you can read this interview with the Congressman by Jay at Stop the ACLU.

Hillary Clinton, a leading opponent of DP World's takeover of some US port operations, was this week forced to admit that she did not know her husband had advised Dubai leaders on how to handle the growing dispute.more...But former President Bill Clinton's ties to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates should not have come as a surprise to his New York senator wife.
Mrs Clinton's own senatorial financial disclosure forms reveal that her husband earned $450,000 giving speeches in Dubai in 2002.
Officials from the UAE also donated between $500,000 and $1m to fund Mr Clinton's presidential library in Arkansas.
It was part of an effort by the emirates, said a person close to UAE officials, to forge a close relationship with a former US president who is influential and highly regarded in the region.

I feel terrible that I have taken so long to get around to this, but I wonder if anyone might feel like joining me in gathering outside the Danish Embassy in Washington, in a quiet and composed manner, to affirm some elementary friendship. Those who like the idea might contact me at christopher.hitchens@yahoo.com, and those who live in other cities with Danish consulates might wish to initiate a stand for decency on their own account.I'm going to drop him a note to see when he's planning this. Sounds like it's worth a road trip.
UPDATE:
Hitchens has updated his post with the details:
Update, Feb. 22: Thank you all who've written. Please be outside the Embassy of Denmark, 3200 Whitehaven Street (off Massachusetts Avenue) between noon and 1 p.m. this Friday, Feb. 24. Quietness and calm are the necessities, plus cheerful conversation. Danish flags are good, or posters reading "Stand By Denmark" and any variation on this theme (such as "Buy Carlsberg/ Havarti/ Lego") The response has been astonishing and I know that the Danes are appreciative. But they are an embassy and thus do not of course endorse or comment on any demonstration. Let us hope, however, to set a precedent for other cities and countries. Please pass on this message to friends and colleagues. That's too short a trigger for me to attend, as I had hoped, but if you're in the area...

BBC : The Hamas victory presents both the Palestinian political class and the international community with a huge dilemma. Washington and the EU, which have pressured the Palestinians to hold democratic elections, cannot now object to the outcome of the elections without laying themselves open to charges of hypocrisy. Crucially, the result has landed Hamas itself in a very difficult situation. It cannot be part of the Palestinian Authority and at the same time remain committed to what it calls the armed struggle.Captain Ed Says :
And if Hamas and the Palestinians still want to wage war after that, then let the IDF roll across the West Bank and Gaza Strip and push the whole lot of them right into the Jordan River and Mediterranean Sea. That's what total war means, and as soon as the world stops preventing the Palestinians from the risks of their own choices, the sooner they will conclude that war is the worst possible choice for them.True the choices now have very real consequences. Also this Quote Via Seattle Times:
Hamas' role was greatly respected and embraced because it was a resistance movement," Sami Moubayed, a Syrian analyst, told The Associated Press.Dean Esmay also get's his two cents in
"Now, they will naturally be prone to fail like any other movement that entered the political arena, because they will have a very hard time to deliver on their promises," he said.
The greatest stumbling block to peace in the Middle East is the refusal of Palestinians to accept the existence of the state of Israel. A Hamas lead government might be just the thing to realize that coexistence with Israel isn't so bad after all.
That's my hope anyway. As noted anti-Semite HL Mencken once remarked, "People get the government they deserve - and they deserve to get it good and hard."
So they say, "Habib, I vote for the guy who teach my kid instead of crook who steal all my money".. The thing is, the teacher is also the terrorist.
Will it not be sweet to see Hamas have to deal? One thing for sure the plate is full, now dig in Hamas. I hope you are as hungry as you thought you were.

While we're short of a clash of civilizations, we should not pretend that most of the Islamic world shares our values.
Read the Koran, the Sunnah, and the Hadith. Listen to the imams preaching from the mosques on every Friday.
We're not short of a clash of civilizations, this clash has been going on for 1400 years. Islam clashes with every civilization it has come in contact with since Mohammed sucked on the hookah and claimed to see Gabriel.
On the other hand, with respect to Mr. Joyner, I'll grant him this. There isn't a clash of civilizations because Islam has yet to be civilized.
