Seen an interesting T-shirt down here in Cajun land. It said ASHAMED TO BE FRENCH.
Don't know if it's true or not but I have Belgium friend and a German friend. Both claim every nation it Europe hates them. This was before this Iraq thing. Maybe thats's why they try and buddy up to the middle east? Could it be that they haven't any friends in Europe?

As a product of Sweden and Norway. We have a little history with the frogs. Get it Norsemen, Normandy. The French just bent over and gave us Western France because they were to sissy to fight us.

I still cant understand why america is so racist when it has no race of its own it is a truely mongrel race. I always laugh when i hear about a neo nazi or ultra racist american when its not a defined people as it used to be in the begining. Americans and French are both very proud people, and both in their own right. Generalisations are usually unfair no matter who the object and whatever reason for the generalisation. Americans dont like to be considered one homogeneous group nor do Europeans. Europe consists of several countries as America consists of several states. Reading the posts above is very upsetting, some of which are very hateful and very racist. The Americans and the French are more similar than they would like to admit. I would say that both are disliked around the world and for similar reasons. Mentioning France or America around the world never evokes neutral sentiment and rarely overwhelmingly positive for that matter. Reading the posts above only reinforces that. Take a look around, the world is more than France or the US chances are that people hate both of you.
