Which Side of the Blogosphere is Getting Paid?

AS A SUCCESSUL RIGHT-WING BLOGGER I DEMAND MY PAYCHECK!!! Digby writes:

The right blogosphere operates largely as part of the greater Republican message machine. Many of its bloggers are already part of that infrastructure, working as journalists for conservative publications, writing books and lecturing. Independent bloggers on the right hail from all walks of life, but the leading voices are either part of the political machine itself, like Mike Krempasky of RedState, or closely connected to the conservative media and think tank infrastructure, like Hugh Hewitt, Michelle Malkin and the PowerLine bloggers. The right blogosphere is a reflection of successful top-down Republican message control, and as such these bloggers are welcomed warmly into the fold....

By contrast, the left blogosphere is populated by “citizen bloggers,” who work in non-political occupations for a living and blog for reasons of personal interest. This sphere actually operates as a unique and potentially powerful political constituency rather than a part of the Democratic Party apparatus. Unlike their counterparts on the right, the lefty blogs have had to crash the party, but because they did it with energy, votes and money, they are making themselves a power in their own right.

Ha. Right.

The most succesful right-side blogger out there is Glenn Reynolds. And he's 'on message' somehow?

Charles Johnson chimes in:

This is the worst kind of disingenuous garbage, a complete inversion of reality. Markos Zuniga of Daily Kos is a paid political consultant for Howard Dean and other campaigns. Joshua Micah Marshall, Kevin Drum, and Matt Yglesias all get paychecks from liberal publications. Duncan Black (Atrios) works for George Soros.
Anyway Digby has more here.

1 Rusty, the check was sent in the mail last week. I told you to do direct deposit. Silly Jawa.

2 Hmmm ... where's my check too? Must have been sent to the Mc Carthyite conspiracy fund. What a bunch of dribble. What is up with Libs? Is there anything they are not jealous of?

3 I sure wish someone would pay me to blog so I can quit my crappy job.

4 PLEEZ, no more links to the lefty sites. It honestly scares me that there are such deluded morons sharing the same country as us sensible people. It's sorta like opening a window into the Insane Asylum, I'd just rather not do it. It's not in any way amusing, it's just extremely unsettling.

5 Glen Reynolds is a Democrat, last time I read his political party declaration. Just saying... The more I read these liberal columns (your link), the more sure I am that liberalism is a mental illness. It's an illness in the sense that there's determination by liberals to enforce, proliferate that which is the polar opposite of reality. It's some sort of media mania, as if making enough copies of whatever the nonsense is will make it true. To liberals. Thus, we get film after film, newpaper after newspaper, Democrat after Democrat calling Republicans bad this/that/whatever they imagine...as if that takes any focus on their own behaviors of the objectionable kind. Meaning -- and here again is why I used the "mental illness" description earlier -- it's classic "look officer, the criminal is running away, if you hurry, you can catch him!" communication of the guilty thief. At this point, whatever it is that Democrats decry as to being wrong about and with Republicans, you can almost always examine the facts involved and find that the wrongs are actually done by Democrats. The blogging thing is nonsense, given that so many higher traffic liberal bloggers are actually paid by Democrats...to blog.

7 That's the oldest trick out of the Communist party's book of dirty tricks; whatever you're doing, accuse your enemies of doing it, it's called disinformation. The best way to listen to anything any leftist traitor propagandist says is to read it carefully, and then apply all the accusations, slander, and innuendo to the source of the propaganda. Democrats lie. The always lie, and they only lie. If they were magically made to speak only the full and open truth about their intentions and actions, they would all be taken out and shot.

9 When I signed up with Commander Rove as a foot soldier in the Right Wing Attack Squad: Poorly Written Satire Division , I was informed that I would regularly receive: 1) punch and pie 2) big paychecks 3) unlimited long distance calling Those crafty Republicans have duped me yet again.

10 Improbulus, One persons truth is a lie to the other, thats the way of the world. If all people spoke nothing but the truth, the only people not in deep shit would be the ones who can't yet speak. Lies keep countries from fighting each other, lies justify actions to hurt people, lying is the only reason all humans have been declared equals. In a world of truth it would be impossible to keep millions of people under control without resorting to force. Lies keep people busy, so they don't notice the other truth about their surroundings, leaders, their lives and their beliefs, and those who do are always doubted, in Democrat case, hated and called names by the ones, who do not wish to believe the lies of the "side of truth". (Naturally, I too am living in a society of lies, in a place that keeps telling its people that things outside of this country are completely useless and don't have any effect on the life of those living inside of this titanium bubble that gives an easy, full life to even those who have given up trying to get one. I'm glad I have this lie, are you happy with yours?)

11 A FINN: What I want to know is were you lying about the Finnish women?

12 you are now that you've given in to putting ads on your blog. tsk tsk Cindy

13 Greyrooster, No I wasn't.

14 But since beauty is in the eye of beholder, people of another race or under a mediabrainwash think their own or the medias kind of woman is the best looking woman. (not meaning to sound sexist. Only women in revealing situations on paper or screen and those who have sex for a living should be treated as merely sex objects)

15 Wow... So true... genealogia.fi/emi/art/article382e.htm I especially liked this one: ..."Sorry we cannot admit you as a member, but this is a fight of Finns, for the Finns and only by Finns. It has been insinuated that we are disloyal and we are going to disprove it." Shows the stubborness and sisu being Finnish is all about. Not everyone who fled overseas was a pussy after all...

16 Offtopic as usual...

17 Oops, "not every Finn who fled overseas..."

19 A FINN: You are too young to drink. I'm going to tell your mommie.

20 No I'm not =P

21 A FINN: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" Bullshit, liberal feminist probaganda. Beauty is in the face and figure of the woman. But beware they can change quickly. After a few drinks those that look beautiful at 2:00AM can turn into dogs by 7:00AM. My friend Charlie picks up a lot of women in bars. His secret. Get drunk and go ugly early. He goes for quantity instead of quality. Charlie is one of the happiest people I know.

22 I hope Charlie's cock is burning right now.
