Umm, Rusty...
Tatooine is actually a city in SE Tunisia. It has lots of beach, but no ocean. Lucas came across it--and obviously loved the name--as he was researching the underground houses in nearby Matmata, also obviously an inspiration for Luke's uncle's housing.
