What is the position of the American Indians on this immigration issue ? I am thinking that they may have some strong feelings on this.

john ryan, The American Indians didn't enforce their borders and look where it got them. Time to throw out the trash!

Indians? Why do you always think of Indians as on the reservation oppressed. Many intergrated into white society. My ancestors were German Irish and Shawnee. Have one Indian and his wife indian too two doors down from Mom another across the way. They check white on their census and are accepted as such. Well except they tan well even in winter.

Native Americans... Indians are from India .... DUH !!!

American Indians was the preferred term before the PC imbeciles decided it wasn't.

PC or not, it does make it easier to distinguish between the two when we white folk are talking about them, when there are so many Indian nationals in this country, saying "Indians" gets kinda confusing. Hey, I grew up playing Cowboys and Injuns too ya know. And yeah I don't know of anybody around these parts that doesn't at least claim to have some "injun blood" in em. But there are more Indians from India than the native kind around here. I became a lot more senstive to the whole issue when I met my girlfriend who is 1/4 Miwok.
