Electoral-Vote.com Hacked?
I snapped this photo from
electoral-vote.com earlier. It seems that they got hacked. The map shows a clear Bush lead, but if you look at the total it shows Kerry every electoral vote.
Charles over at LGF theorizes that the site got hacked. My theory? Let's just say I'm not ruling out a prank by the leftist asshat who runs the site. Note to Charles: the person/persons who run the site make Michael Moore look mainstream. Just click around the links some and you'll see why. I also have an earlier post on the site's moonbattishness here.

Kerry 253, Bush 264 now with this note below the map and legend:
News from the Votemaster
There was a problem with the projected map. It is being worked on. Also, the new Zogby polls came out after today's update. They will be in tomorrow's update.

I found another poll today that 10,000 people took and over 85% of the people who responded to the poll voted for Bush. I think it was called "If the election were held today, who would you vote for?" Since there were names on there I've never heard of, I'm sure it wasn't hacked
or broken into like hundreds of offices and places throughout the country in the past week when it came to the Republican campaigns offices in every state. I hope they catch the bastards that are doing this criminal behavior and throw them in jail for a long, long time - just goes to show you how desperate Kerry followers are...
Tomorrow night should be quite interesting.

Ummm, isn't it possible that the 538 Kerry thing was an honest mistake? It's interesting to me that so many people target this guy for essentially just posting a bunch of Zogby, Opinion Dynamics, and other polls. I mean, what's the big deal? The polls exist whether or not electoral-vote.com posts them.

The utes of America are getting me down

work for my money! Just graded tests. Only half of students could identify the Attorney General of the US. One student thinks the Sec State is 'Colin Pile'. These are all Juniors and Seniors. I've decided to stop passing out voter registration cards to all my students. Seriously.

I used to laugh off people who made fun of "man on the street" interviews where folks...on the street...were asked about politicians - they always resulted in pretty strange - and scary - answers.
While I can't say I agree with not passing out the voter registration cards, I can see why you're at this level of frustration.

I'd imagine the student that wrote down "Colin Pile" was making a poltical statement. Then again, that student doesn't know how to spell Colon so maybe that is why they are in a political science class rather than a pulic relations class.

What movie did the Veepbate most remind you of?
Wall Street, Cheney as Gecko;
Rocky, it's a draw;
Rocky III, Cheney as Clubber Lang;
Star Wars, Cheney finds Edward's lack of faith in the Dark Side of the Force disturbing;
The Empire Strikes Back, evil wins--but only
temporarily;
Return of the Jedi, Cheney takes off mask;
Spaceballs, Cheney as Dark Helmut;
Turner and Hooch, aka Cheney and Edwards;
Happy Gilmore;
Godzilla vs. Bambi;
Terminator, and not the gay part 3;
The Godfather;
Godfather II;
Vision Quest, VP wrestler barely outmaneuvers skilled opponent;
Jaws, Edwards as the Mayor;
Alive, Cheney eats Edwards. A little salty;
Memento;
Being John Malkovich, puppetmaster he aint;
The Day After, Cheney as da bomb;
Used Cars, Edwards as Rudy Russo.
And what movie did the debate remind me of the most? The Big Sleep.

hahahahahaha all funny, all true. So see Rusty, you can make a joke without trying; it's the trying that gets you in trouble. The big sleep is right, so I just switched to "Primal Fear" and that kept me awake. Still have not watched my taped copy or typed it up, don't think I will, either because when I read "SLAMMED" and the word for word quote under it that Cheney said to Edwards at the end, noting this is the first time I have ever met you, was enough for me. Back to sleep.

Well, it isn't a corolation (sp) to a movie as far as the way it played out, but I personally see Cheney more as the Godfather (and he shares the initials "DC" with Don Corleone) and I see Edwards more as either Peter Pan or Robin the Boy Wonder. Who would YOU rather have advising and working with the President, The Godfather or Peter Pan?

NO! Steve, no way you can convince me of empowering the llama; I hate the name and you know it. Brian, they are Dream Walker, Conquistador, Silver, Bucci, Black Ice (Shadow), Elton for the males. Misti, Mocha, Sparkler, Sno Pastel, and StellaLuna. I only named Silver and Shadow and those are just their nick names. Conquistador, my major stud, died suddenly in July from one of the aortic arteries burst. I only got him studded to one female. All females were supposed to be pregnant before they got here but only two have been born. The boys (Mr C and Dream Walker) were only yearlings. Now Dream Walker and Bucci - my mini stud are more than ready to go and I have tried to hand breed them. Not exactly sure who may or may not be pregnant by those two. But the whole herd is for sale anyway. Answer your question, Brian? :-)

Glenn Reynolds income watch
Holy schneike! You mean people actually get paid to do this?? And here I've been giving it away for free!
Ok, so Glenn Reynolds gets $4k a month for a premium blogad.
His 'second slot' blogad goes for $2k a month (x2).
For 'regular' blogads you pay $1k a month (x5)
Pop quiz cowboy: How much does Glenn Reynolds get paid to blog a month?
Answer: $13k a month!!!
What change since August 4th, when I first ran the numbers? Reynolds raises his slot one price by a grand a month, and this is enough to make up for losing one advertiser in the regular slot. Total revenue change: none.

Little Miss Attila Scores Medved Interview
I've met Michael Medved on a number of occasions. No need to bore you with the details here. Of course, I never thought to open my piehole and ask him some really interesting questions.

Yeah, yeah

It's interesting to reflect that a large component of the development of motion pictures (both as commerce and as an art form) had to do with Jews being locked out of so many other industries and lines of work. It's as if, in the first half of the 20th Century, a group of Eastern European immigrants found themself here, and realized they had to earn a living. So they invented their own line of work.
As a resident of L.A. I have that LA/New York mindset and am always shocked anew when I hear the real statistics about the proportion of Jews in the population at large: it sounds like such a tiny number, compared to my own circle, which is probably 45% Jewish.
My favorite little detail about the evolution of Old Jewish Money is when some of the newly wealthy entertainment people wanted to join a country club, but couldn't join the ones dominated by WASPs. My recollection is that it was Harpo Marx who argued that, no, it wouldn't be ethical to exclude non-Jews from the new club they were creating at the time: that would be bringing themselves down to the bigots' level.
I say all this, of course, as a blue-collar WASP (though one who converted to Catholicism a few years ago for complex reasons).
