Soon Rusty will have a new apprentice, one much younger and ever more powerful.
After considering it for several days IÂ’ve determined that the time is right for me to exit from blogging. Several factors have led me to come to this determination. The fact is that the enjoyment I get from it has become outweighed by the hassles.
IÂ’ve really enjoyed it for the most part. I wouldnÂ’t trade this experience for the world. But something has to give and I keep coming back to blogging. Rather than pussyfoot around I might as well just get it over with.
It feels good like IÂ’m doing the right thing. Whatever reasons you may think I may have there are a few others. I donÂ’t share everything. Just trust me, the time is now and itÂ’s for the best.
I plan to spend some time really taking it to the space bastards. Seriously computers are my life but even I get enough of it. What tolerance I have left for machines (and people) I need to save up for real work. To my successor whomever that may be. Go for it. Life is an experience and you only get one shot. Live fast, love hard, die young I always say.
Thanks to all who have supported me including but not limited to.
And a Very special thank you and appreciation to Dr. Rusty Shackleford for the opportunity and tolerating this Paduan Beotch for 346 days and over 400 posts. I hope I have been of some help. There is no way to thank you enough.

Howie, all I can do is cry. Well, not really, but I can truly say I will miss you, and I feel like we are friends even though we have never met. I know we would get along like brothers.

take care, Howie. I appreciated your willingness to engage in debate, and to correct error when necessary. That's rare in the blogosphere, left or right. I used to think that the sentence "I never thought of that before. You might be right." was just the only sentence one would never hear on CNN or Fox News debates, but now I realize it is the implicit forbidden phrase at most ideological websites. But you were different==and will be missed.
