Today in iraq the insurgents attacked a convoy of marines that contained women that are used to search muslim women coming and going from Fallujah.
Also looks like Tehran mayor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will win that countrys election. Duh.

I cant't help but wonder it the attack on those lady Marines was motivated by that Jihad Unspun story Rusty posted today.

??? Fallujah != Nevada.
These things will happen, in a War zone. Credence to one story or another can be given, but it happens everyday, what will the story be tomorrow?

Dave: I'm not sure I was just online and thought I would do a post. I don't disagree but good news was hard to find. I did see a pretty good report from Iraq on the news hour tonight that said the training is going better but could not get a transcript yet.

Howie,
You are correct, these days good news is hard to find -- and not just from Iraq. I'm sure it's not because good things are not happening for people there.

I was encouraged by the news hour report. I got home in time to catch the last few minutes but Washington week was nixed by the family in favor of some movie on Fox. Looks like I'll be working most of the weekend. On a lighter side.

Oh yeah one other good story today on NPR's ATC.
They had some man in the street interviews from a water park in Iraq. Pretty encouraging. It seems most people are starting to get sick of the insurgency. They are killing too many civilians and its causing a political problem for them.

i don't understand how you guys can read all this awful news and think it's all the more reason to shut up and do nothing while the guy who got us into this mess funnels all the money that should be protecting our soldiers to halliburton.
i read this news and think, "make it stop."

Jami, you will do well under the coming Caliphate. Opinionated women go right to the top in the Islamic dictatorship you would surrender to.

Jami is a perfect example of an Omega in society. Among wolves, there are Alphas, who kick everyone else's butt and call the shots, and below them there are the Betas who aren't total punks but don't get to make any decisions, and at the bottom of the pecking order there are Omegas, who have to grovel before all other members of the pack, and be grateful for the opportunity. Omegas have no cajones for fighting, they are total punks, so they will kiss an Alpha or Beta's butt gladly if it will keep them from getting beat up.
Liberals are natural Omegas who have learned that by banding together and bleating loudly enough, they can stop having to kiss butt to get by in the world, but this tactic only works if an Alpha or Beta is repulsed by their pitiful bleating. The only thing is, no matter how many Omegas band together, they still don't have the juevos to fight, and instead only end up surrendering to the most violent Alpha. This is why liberals kiss terrorists' butts; they know the terrorists don't give a rat's ass about their rights, they just want to kill them. In this way liberals fail to adhere to the social contract established by society that says the strong won't oppress the weak if the weak don't make any trouble. Instead, the weak, the liberals, betray the strong in their own society by siding with the strong in another society; kind of like someone opening the door and letting a murderer in the house just to get back at one's family. Liberals are natural traitors to society; they hate those of us who are strong and unafraid, and the jackal hates the lion, but can't exist without him because he feeds on the lions scraps.

Improbulus,
Wolf society is a little more complicated than that. You have belittled the role of the omega wolf.
Wolves can be catagorized into 2 groups, biders, who remain in the pack and dispersers, who leave the pack.
The dispersers tend to be omega wolves. By chance, they may hook up with another lone wolf and start up another pack. It is by this method that wolves made 70% of the earth's surface their niche.
The radiation of humans was likely, at least in part, due to this same mechanism.

I included Weigel for his contribution to an organization that I hold in contempt, namely the PNAC.

The PNAC website [2] (http://www.newamericancentury.org/) states the group's "fundamental propositions", which are
"American leadership is good both for America and for the world"
"such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle"
"too few political leaders today are making the case for global leadership."
Needless to say, there are LOTS of (some people would say "conspiracy") groups against PNAC.
Wonder what Kipling would think???

VIDEO WARNING IRAQI SUICIDE BOMBERS THAT THEY GO TO HELL NOT HEAVEN, Visit www.shepardusgov.com
By Dr. Jack Shepard, founder of People for Peace Group.
Hello let us all pray for Peace.
I have made a 2.5 minute video Warning the Iraqi Suicide Bombers to beware; if they kill themselves they go to Hell not Heaven.
Please visit www.shepardusgov.com to see my Video warning to the Iraqi Insurgents.
If my message gets somehow to the Iraqi Insurgents and the Palestinian Suicide Bombers, and they learn what they do is against the Koran I think they will stop.
Then God willing we will have Peace In Israel and Iraqi and Love and Peace will have a chance.
Please copy my CD if anyone wishes TO HELP SPREAD THESE WORDS TO THE SUICIDE BOMBERS BEFORE THEY KILL THEMSELVES AND MANY OTHER POOR INNOCENT PEOPLE.
Then take it to your local TV Station to play for 2.5 minutes to stimulate a discussion about Suicide Bombing as a Weapon of War. Please advise the TV station after they play my brief 2.5 minute video.
I would suggest that the TV station organizes to have a group of religious scholars from all faiths give their opinion what each religion teaches its followers about Suicide.
May God Bless the World with Love and Peace

I didn't want to use that example, but it was the simplest analogy I could come up with off the cuff. You are correct about the Omega dispersers, they are the only ones who have the courage to strike out on their own. The biders are genetic losers who serve only to allow the Betas to have someone to take their stress out on. Too many people in our society are willing play the part of the bider and roll over to people with violent tendencies. Appeasing Muslims won't work, it only encourages them, because they see diplomacy and willingness to bargain as a sign of weakness. Muslims are very much like wolves, only more vicious and less civilized. Naked hatred and agression must not be rewarded, but rather ruthlessly crushed.

Can't be top of the pack if you can't run with it. I'm jogging about two miles a day again though, and I can still keep 'em all in the black at 100 yards with open sights.
"Just kiddin'... I still want to box you up with your ammo and favorite gun to ship you off as a care package to the Saudis."
I can be packed in about an hour.
"Your trigger finger is still good, no?"
Exercised about twice a month.
"You know why I use "osama" in every handle? So you guys read it every day to not forget who the real enemy is."
Oh we will never forget that.
"It ain't Saddam and his weapons of mass deception..."
