Who's Your Messiah?

Hat tip: Stop The ACLU

You thought all these hurricanes were bashing us out of coincidence? The bird flu and other disease panics were just another overexaggeration? Many Muslims don't think so. As a matter of fact, many of them view Osama as their messiah!

"Islamic clerics point out that the signs in the heavens are propitious for such an event," writes Williams. "This year, Muslims will experience solar and lunar eclipses during the holy month. These great heavenly signs, according to Islamic visionary Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Sahib, foretell the coming of the "Mahdi," the mighty warrior of the Apocalypse, who will defeat the army of Yajuj wa-Majuj ("the infidel unbelievers"), led by the Dabbah or "the Beast." He will lead the Muslims to great victory and bring forth the Day of Islam, when all of creation falls before the throne of Allah."

Millions of Muslims worldwide already regard bin Laden as the "Mahdi," say Williams and other analysts of Islam.

"Islamic tradition says that the Mahdi will be a descendant of Muhammad through his daughter Fatima," writes Williams. "He will have a distinctive forehead, a prominent nose, and a black mole on his face. He will arise from Arabia and will be called from a cave by Allah to serve as the savior of all true believers."

Williams points out bin Laden's followers see significance in his high forehead, the prominent nose, the black mole, his origins in Arabia and his calling from a cave in Afghanistan.

"Bin Laden speaks of the president of the United States as Dabbah, the beast he must slay, and of the American people as the Yajuj wa-Majuj, the nation of Gog that he must destroy," reports Williams. "In his edicts and official correspondence, he no longer signs his name as Osama bin Laden but as Osama bin Muhammad bin Laden."

Is bin Laden the "Mahdi"? Many Muslims think so. And these are prophetically significant times for those who believe. A solar eclipse occurred Oct. 3 and a lunar eclipse followed Oct. 17. This is a unique phenomenon that only occurred once before -- during the Ramadan of 1894. At that time, Muslim scholars said that the next occurrence of twin eclipses will signal the appearance of "the divinely guided one" and the end of human history.

"One Muslim, who views bin Laden as the Mahdi, is Sheikh Nasir bin Hamid al Fahd," explains Williams. "Al Fahd recently issued a religious ruling or fatwa on behalf of the clerics of Saudi Arabia that granted bin Laden and other terrorists the permission to use nuclear weapons against the United States."

This is some scary kind of thinking folks! While America folds to the politically correct, and continually weaken our spiritual edge in this battle to secularization, a huge faction of the enemy view this as the freakin Apocolypse! Why isn't anything being done to our borders? Regardless of your opinion on whether the end is near, or religion in general...this is some scary kind of thinking on the enemy's side. The kind of thinking that could lead to all kinds of crazy stuff. I don't know if its the end of the world or not, but I know one thing...if America doesn't wake up, and wake up fast, it will be the end of the world as we know it! The political correctness crap has got to stop folks!

2 That is a theme that occured to me a long time ago that of Bin Laden as the Mahdi. Oh well, only rubes and Republicans fall for religion so the real threat is from them. Bin Laden and his followers are too smart to believe that. They just want to end oppression, free the Palestinians from having the chance to be elected to the Kenessett etc etc etc

3 After reading Chris Short's post, it struck me that almost everything the Muslim's believe is copied from Judaism or Christianity. I had heard that before, but had not read enough about the Koran to personally know. If we continue to take the threat from radical Islam as negligable, we will be hit and hit hard. An atomic blast in a major city is not out of the realm of possibility, and we should be prepared for it. Part of that preparation should be to make it as difficult as possible to cross our borders. Our ports are especially vulnerable to this type of attack, and average Americans should be used more than what we are. We basically are still just going on as if 9/11 never happened and we are not at war in Iraq.

4 here is an interesting tid-bit, I looked at the word dabbah as the 'beast' and found this at an islamic forum discussion: 82.And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast for them, to speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayât (Verses of the Qur'ân and Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم . What we learn from that Ayah is that , that 'beast' will talk to people... Beast is not the literal translation to the word Dabbah... the same word is mentioned in different ayat meaning animals and other creatures... So, we don't actually know how does that creature look...whether it's a human being, animal, beast or anything else... It will carry the ring of Solomon and the rod of Moses... it will mark the foreheads of the unbelievers with the word 'Kafer' and break/destroy their noses useing the rod/ring. Meanwhile, it will mark the foreheads of the believers with the word 'Mu'men' (True believer)... and will adorn their faces... meaning during that time there will be either true believers or unbelievers... no place for hypocrites. People will be able to know whether the other party is a believer or not as it is written on their foreheads...so no confusion... Is it not interesting in the Christian bible, the "mark of the beast" is placed on the forehead, or hand of the believers ? except in the Christian bible the Anti-Christ, and the beast are the ones doing the mark and performing miracles, in the Muslim Koran, the Messiah, and the beast will perform miracles, and give the marks to believers, and non-believers alike. weird.

5 I am a little concerned about that rod/nose thing. I caaught an elbow in basketball practice in high school AND ITB REALLY HURT !! I can only imagine a rod would be worse, it sounds like something we would see on the old WWF. As for al Fahd's nuclear fatwa, he is running a step behind. We already got the OK for a first strike in our last "Doctrine for Joint Nuclear Operations". Which is sort of like what we call a fatwa.

6 you may find the below link of interest http://www.contenderministries.org/prophecy/eschatology.php because this country has jettisoned its Judeo-Christian roots....AND because many of those who have spoken of the coming end have improperly set dates (which uneventfully pasted) and/or failed to factor in ISRAEL....the examination of this matter has been neglected and/or poo-poohed. Whats really interesting about this time in history is that all three of the "religions" stemming from Abraham seem to be on the same page concerning where mankind at this time. Further, other belief systems and even non-believer sense "something is afoot" What differs, obviously is the truth re: the outcome.

7 Yeah, well, I'm glad we will know who is a Muslim or a Muslim stooge. That would be a relief in itself, as I would no longer have to wonder. And I won't have to worry about the Democrats, because they say there will be no place for hypocrits. Hey, just goes to show there's a silver lining in every dark cloud.

8 PS... The Bible makes it clear that the Jews and Jerusalem will be the center of controvesy for the WORLD and that God Himself will intervene on behalf of HIs people (The Jews) (ex. read Zechariah 12,13 and 14... We have seen that the spot light of the world's attention is increasingly on Israel and Jerusalem see the WND article on the Temple Mount/al-asqa mosque http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46961 (please note that the Arabs have taken this position for years and have been destroyin artifacts under the Temple Mount for years.....its just that now with the surging of Islamic aggression this issue is moving front and center)

14 Their bible said the Messiah would come and lead them out. But they killed Him and the Prophesy. So it was written, so it was done.

15 So Greg is now a religious philosopher. The tin foil type. Hey, Greg, wrap one more layer of foil onto your hat and you will be in contact with Mars.

17 meneneze's ghost...you know NOTHING of the Bible. God said: "Thus saith the Lord; I ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night , and that there should be not day and night in their season; then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant....." Jeremiah 33:19-26 "Can a womanforget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea they may forge, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me." Isaiah 49:15-16 The Bible makes it clear that God will never forsake Israel. As for the death of Jeusu Christ, the Bible makes it clear that Jesus was the "Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world" 1 Peter 1:19- And that God foreknew it Acts 2:23 and that the acts of Jew AND GENTILES (thus, all mankind) was "For to do whatsoever thy (God's) hand and thy counsel determined before to be done." See Acts4:26-28 The acts done are found in OLD TESTAMENT scripture Isaiah 52:10-15 , Isaiah 53:1-12.

19 I think Dave's comment @ October 23, 2005 02:12 PM is compelling. I'll have to think about that somemore. And has bin Laden ever worn a blue turbin? Bin Laden is undoubtedly evil through and through. And I don't want to hear from Greg or John Ryan or anyone about what the Christians did hundreds of years ago. This is today and I don't hear any of them calling all Christians worldwide to kill all "unbelievers" by cutting their heads off or blowing them up indiscriminately, man, woman and child. I've never been one to buy in to the idea that the Joooos killed Crist as if it were a religiously motivated action. I've always been of the mind that it was strictly politically motivated. They just happened to be Jews and not even good Jews. They were more concerned about their political power than their religious beliefs. The fact that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God was only secondary to His being a threat to their control through His teachings. I've never studied the bible nor do I claim to be Christian. This is just an outsider's viewpoint. If someone can tell me I'm wrong - and why - I'm willing to listen.

21 oyster...you are right that the death of Jesus had a very real political aspect to it, there, is a spiritual side thats more complex. As for the politics...If you read the 4 Gospeels you'll see that the "multitudes" heard Jesus gladly ..most believed he was a good man, and/or an prophet and/or the anticipated Messiah. It was the "learned", the "priests", the "lawyers" the "scribes" who at every juncture challenged Jesus and sought to set traps etc....... The issue was God's word and faith therein vs human wisdom. Also....the "leadership" class wanted the physical kingdom without the spiritual redemption ....... Not unlike all mankind...
