U.N. Officially Against Freedom of Speech

Apparently the U.N. commissioner for dealing with the manufactured Muhammed cartoons controversy didn't get the memo that the U.N. was supposed to guarantee fundamental human rights, not suppress them. Hey, UN. Do you like apples? How ya like dem apples?

Moslems are very clever at using the code of victimology. Is it any surprise that Kofi Annan and his moslem cohorts in the UN wuld issue this garbage?

The UN can kiss my shiny pink ass.

The harsh reality is that the world is a selfish place - an arena for competing national interests. The notion that representatives of 90+ countries can come together, check their agendas at the door and unite in an effort to improve the world is archaic and absurd. The sooner the UN is shut down, the better.

Amen, Graeme, the UN is nothing more than a shakedown artist, or should I say, mugger, of the American taxpayer. And the West. The sooner these bastards are sent packing, the better. It is a completely worthless organization.

And the Libtards want us to give up our sovereignty to those soft totalitarian internationalists? NEVER.

And these towel heads don't raise an eyebrow over the beheadings online: " Advocate Qamar Afzal stated in his arguments that the availability of the caricatures on the Internet, which have hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims worldwide, should be declared “intellectual terrorism”. " The world is my oyster. Round 'em up and rope 'em off!

I can only echo Graeme here; the UN must go.

The UN is a verifiable mess and John Bolton is trying to do the impossible; getting them to understand that its members are 1) NOT above their own laws and 2) NOT equally moral just by virtue of their existence and membership. There is far too much wrong with the UN for them to think they should be the arbiters of what denotes free speech. This goes against the very ideal they hold of national sovereignty. This is hypocritical. The only reason they are now saying "all religions" is because of the violence perpetrated by one. They respond simply with "stern letters" for blowing up Buddhist statues and persecution of Christians, but heaven forbid! Cartoons was the last straw. Now speech must be regulated. Screw them.

Watch out folks, the last time we walked out of a U.N. meeting, ( South Africa ), we had a few buildings blew up soon after. Just saying.
