Two Children of the Thirties

Long ago I decided that the fellow who deserves to be remembered for his interpretation of "The Sixties" was this guy, not this unmitigated sausage. (h/t: Lileks)

Swing low, sweet chariot.

1 Holy crap. Vonnegut is worse than I thought. What sick and twisted reasoning.

2 Typical for Kurt - he's always been like that. Note the Aussie spin - "he was supportive at first line". Yeah, sure. Thats the typical left way to imply and hype credibility. Similar in a way to the current Murtha thing (he's a decorated vet so he must be right). See how it works. Kurt burned out years ago. He's just trying to get back on centerstage.

3 I've read Kurt's crap, and frankly can't see what all the noise was about. I guess he was the best his brain-addled generation of dropouts, losers, and stoners could produce.

5 A blind spider still catches a fly now and then.
