FOXNEWSbecause CNN's headline sucks air already): People across the broader Middle East are drawing and will continue to draw inspiration from Iraq's progress. And the terrorists' powerful myth is being destroyed. In a 1998 fatwa, Osama bin Laden argued that the suffering of the Iraqi people was justification for his declaration of war on America. Now bin Laden and al-Qaeda are the direct cause of the Iraqi people's suffering. As more Muslims across the world see this, they're turning against the terrorists. As the hope of liberty spreads in the Middle East, the terrorists will lose their sponsors, lose their recruits and lose the sanctuaries they need to plan new attacks. A free Iraq's not going to be a quiet Iraq. It'll be a nation full of passionate debate and vigorous political activity. It'll be a nation that continues to face some level of violence. Yet Iraqis are showing they have the patience and the courage to make democracy work. And Americans have the patience and courage to help them succeed.
I'm buried in SCOUNIX all day.

The equivalent command to 'grep' in Windows 2000/XP is 'findstr' likewise a commandline regular expression tool.

"Osama bin Laden argued that the suffering of the Iraqi people was justification for his declaration of war on America." No one's told OBL about the oil-for-food scam yet?

You guys are missing an important point: SCO UNIX is the only extant UNIX I would actually rate as a worse operating system than Win2K/XP. It's a beast, a terrible, horrible beast.

I don't use it by choice. I'm on at least three platforms every day. So I use the basic Unix commands and some cool tools that run on the platform. To me it's just UNIX and in general I like UNIX for the power of the platform. This flavor is pretty stable and I'm lucky I'm not the administrator of that server. What I hate thouhg is when some jerk edits a UNIX resident file and then saves it back with all those control M's in ther and then when I open with VI it's ugly. It bothers me so bad it bitch at them it does no good so I wrote (stole) a little tool for long files to remove them. Short files I just map a key with t the vi commands for end of line delete last char move down. Yes I like vi too I know I'm sick.
