The Da'wa Report

Via LGF, Jihad Watch is reporting that the letter Mahmoud Ahmagonnameetallah sent President Bush was more than just an invitation to sit down and settle our differences over tea and yellow cake.

Spencer says:

Both bolded statements suggest that the letter was indeed the call to Islam that must precede any attack, in accord with Muhammad's words (in Sahih Muslim 4294) about inviting the unbelievers to accept Islam or dhimmitude and fighting him only if he refuses both. We shall see.

The blog grandfather says:

Only a few blogs (and almost no mainstream media) have realized the truth about Iranian madman Ahmadinejad’s letter to President Bush. It was not an offer to negotiate, and it was not simply a lunatic’s rant. It was a calculated invitation to convert to Islam, a da’wa—an Islamic requirement (commanded by Mohammed) before waging war against unbelievers.

My brother-in-anxiety Jeff G:

But whether or not Ahmadinejad (and the mullahs) are pragmatists playing chess, or else crazed religious fanatics poised to unleash some sort of devestating [sic] weapon on the world, what is unquestionable is that Ahmadinejad has positioned his pieces so as to appear ready to go to war.

So what to make of this?

I have questions, many questions.

I'm just too tired to answer them myself.

All I can think to do right now is to alert as many people as I can to the possibility that we are on the brink of a full-scale, all out war with Iran. In contrast with the small-scale, low-intensity war we've been in with Iran since 1979.

1 Time is running out fast. Unless we eradicate the entire arab population and the iranian/persian population--both subhuman filth undeserving of life, we will be mired in decades of intense holy war. American lives are precious, arabs, iranians, asians, mexicans, etc are not. Stop putting your head in the sand and start looking to Christ for guidance. The end times are upon us, repent and take up arms as Jesus himself has commanded.

2 Perhaps the Americans should reply to the madman's letter with a MOAB. Stencilled on its tail fin - Kind Regards Dubya

3 Bingo.... War rides a fast horse. The mullahs are coming for us. I'd expect nuclear fireworks delivered by zombie. Ahmadi-Nejad is radical not insane: HE BELIEVES. Too scary!

4 Look, "Patriot," if you're going to troll by pretending to be a conservative Christian, could you at least try and make it convincing? I mean, do you think conservatives are going to fall all over themselves agreeing with you? "YEAH! We should kill 'em all! YEE-HAW!!!" (bangbangbang) Please get back to us when you have something useful to say.

5 This is shaping up nicely. We need an excuse to take down Iran, and they're working as hard as they can to provide us with one.

6 Most people will never bother to read past the first page of this thing. It is a pretty shocking letter when you read through the whol thing. Now seeing this post, the letter makes much more sense as to why he bothered to write it at all.

7 Vinnie, please ban that troll and delete every single one of his posts.

8 Holy macaroni, He is indeed quoting the Quran that all believers of the book shall be united under Allah, and so, becoming a Muslim! If not, they (we) will bear the witness of the Muslims. All right Ali Baba, so what you are saying is that, there is one God (Allah) and we must unite all under the same God (Allah) as long it is Allah! "Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do you?"

11 There are many in both Iran and the United States that seem to be working towards the same goal. Sports- wise we are in a slow season with only baseball teams to root for or against.

12 Both Washington and Tehran are having major poularity problems right now. The last Harris poll via the Wall Street Journal has Bush down to 29%. I am not sure that Tehran allows polls, but important parts of their population are not pleased with their government. War (or even talk of war) does tend to unify the masses tempoarily at least.WIthout the boogey man of the USA how long could Castro justify the condition of his country ?

13 Hi Vinnie. I linked to your post but keep getting trackback errors. When confronted by a bully, sometimes it's necessary to punch him in the nose if he just won't back down and leave you alone. Negotiating with Ahmadinejad is ludicrous. The content of his letter to Bush proves there is no middle ground with him. We're gonna have to try something else in order to find a solution to America's problem with Iran (and jihadists). Maybe even something we haven't tried in about 61 years...

14 This is truly scary. Sounds like they are going to throw the first nuke, but the sooner they realize that we have thousands to their dozens, the better.

15 This is crazy talk folks. From Iran, and those who are thinking about nukeing Iran now, before it is to late. Don't get me wrong, I am on America's side. I just believe we should play out every last diplomatic chance we can. You see, there are problems on both sides. Iran supports Hamas, and Hezbolla, and have helped kill Americans. We have invaded Panama, Grenda, Kosovo, Afganistan, and Iraq. We have them covered on all sides. We are at war around the world with Islamic crazys. Our special forces are hunting 24/7 for those who want to kill Americans. May G-d bless them, and their families. What we should do, is go through the motions, and when it is all over, pull out of the U.N. Form a group of Democratic countries with trade ties, and get on white lighting for fuel. The New World Order is dragging everyone into war. Out of chaos, order. Folks like us will suffer. Maybe, I am wrong, but I do not think so, and I do not think we will have to wait to long to find out.

17 It is cowardly and unconscienable to save this fight for our children. Are there no MEN left? Put iran and islam down for the foreseeable future. Haven't we learned from history that you can not appease the nazis?? islam is the nazis - do not be fooled and don't stand by and be politically correct and delude yourself as you, in your cowardice collude in the future subjugation and death of your children......and mine iran / islam not worth one American life. I am willing to fight so my children can grow up free. What about you? islam is clear - they want to dominate. So lets call their bluff and kick their asses once and for all and now Fight Islam Now

Posted by: fight islam now at May 13, 2006 12:08 PM (Mx5AB)

18 I think you misconstrued my meaning fight islam now. I say there is nothing salvagable in the filthy holy land and we should save American lives by withdrawing all the troops and then nuking the whole area. No muss no fuss, presto chango!
