Thai Fighter
This man is talking a big game, and I hope he's playing it too. The Prime Minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinawatra, has a serious Islamist insurrection in the south of his country, and he's giving an ultimatum: if he doesn't crush the insurgency in three years, he's asked Thailand to vote him out of office.
One of the interesting steps he's taking is banning dual citizenship for Thais who were born in Malaysia or cross into Thailand to work--and to vote. After two Thai Navy officers were beaten to death in a village, the PM observed that the incident "made us realise that it's time to solve this problem once and for all. Those militants have no gratitude to their motherland, which has given them the freedom to practice any religious faith,"
Dual citizenship is a strange thing. I'm not sure how much of Thailand's problems it is actually responsible for, but certainly it's an interesting parallel with our own border problems in which people without any loyalty to the United States, often unwilling to cut their allegiance with their homeland, have arrived en masse over a porous border.
It's a good first step, I think: Thaksin has told his people to pick a side--you're for pluralist Thailand, or you're for Islamist Malaysia. The protection of the laws in a country--in other words, to have rights-- entails responsibilities and basic loyalty as well, and it's interesting that Thailand has caught on to this distinction even as many open-borders advocates in the USA continue to miss it. It's Thailand's version of "You're either with us, or with the terrorists...and don't show up looking for welfare if you're with the terroroists.".

I wonder what Fred Reed (www.fredoneverything.net) would say about this, since he's obviously opposed to anyone fighting muslims anywhere at any time. Or maybe he's just opposed to people being free anywhere but America, I never can figure him out.
Anyway, I hope the Thais take all necessary measures and crush the muslim scum like the verminous swarm they are.

Islam does indeed destroy every culture it comes into contact with. It is a dark cancer on the face of humanity. The Thai culture is too colourful and free thinking for the demonic aims of Islam.

Ermmmmm Islamist Malaysia? Sorry, Islamism is only a stick here which the government (secular and corrupt) uses to beat the poor and the stupid. There is no "Islamist Malaysia". We like to think many of our Muslim problems are caused by the Thais to the north. Problem is that the British split up a Muslim Kingdom called Patani and gave north half to the thai and the south half to the Malaysians.
Crap idea which is now comnig to bite us in the ass. The south half given to Malaysia is full of lazy muslims. Thing is, so is the rest of the country. An affirmative action blanket keeps them off the streets and keeps some of them living high on the hog.
The northern half is full of the same lazy and backward muslims....too bad they don't have affirmative action there to prop them up. So they're pissed especialy when they see their Malaysian relatives live better.
I hope the Thai government cracks down hard. It would really suck to have another Muslim hardline state as our neighbour (we already got the MILF in Mindanao and the Indonesians)

MAOBI: Thanks for the input. Hope you contribute more. First hand info is so valuable as we get so much BS. This Islamofacist horror needs to be addressed by all nations pulling together.

I'm extremely sick of hearing about how Muslims are wreaking havoc and being once again hypocrits. They want the benefits of religious tolerance but cannot tolerate others. Muslims are always cheering their own lot on but when it comes to disasters like earthquakes in Pakistan or the tsunami, they immediately want a hand out from others and complain about how it's not getting there fast enough. When those two disasters happened, I didn't see their Arab brothers coming to the rescue with their oil money. If they're so strict about going to Allah and being pure, why is it that they can't wait to sneak in a pork chop or two? Thailand has long had an unusually high tolerance for anything different. But even they cannot accept dangerous behavior. It's too bad that the Thais have to obey international law because Muslims are ruining not only a beautiful culture but the country's prized tourism industry.
I listened to this "Arab radio" program one night and the Arabs on the program claimed that Christopher Columbus recruited Muslim blacks from the West Indies to help him navigate safely to America. So they too, discovered America. And they went on to give blacks so much praise. How clever. Now the Muslims are trying to court the blacks in the United States.
Beware, the Muslims are destructive, obstructive, intolerant, and a sneaky lot! This religion (it doesn't deserve that label but...) has no room for moderation and should be rid of completely!
