(Ft. Worth, Texas) A teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Grapevine, Dawn Reiser, 30, was arrested last year and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child for allegedly having an extended-term sexual relationship with her 13-year-old student. Today, her trial starts in Criminal District Court No. 2 in Fort Worth.
Reiser befriended the boy at the Grapevine school, where she had worked for four years.
According to a search warrant affidavit, Reiser kept in contact with the boy in the spring of 2004 by calling him on the telephone, emailing him and meeting with him without his mother's knowledge.
At some point, Reiser told the boy that she loved him, and they discussed getting married when he turned 18, the search and arrest warrants state.
The boy told Colleyville police that Reiser picked him up June 10, 2004, at his house and drove him to her Euless home, according to the affidavits. Her husband was not there.
The boy told police that Reiser tied his arms to a bedpost with black silk ties and spread warming lotion on him, the search warrant states. For the next three hours, they had sex "nine or 12 times," and Reiser performed a sex act on him, according to the affidavits.
Days after that encounter, the boy went to the Christian summer camp, where he received what appeared to be "love letters," the affidavits state.
The perfumed letters were adorned with hearts and flowers and professed Reiser's love for the boy. The boy contacted camp counselors who alerted the police. During a search, police found the warming lotion and black silk ties in Reiser's home.
If convicted, the 30-year-old Reiser could get life in prison on the assault charge and 20 years on the indecency charge. It's unknown what Mr. Reiser thinks of the situation.

We live in a sick society, my friends! However, a big part of the problem is that there are so few men involved in education in the US. Discipline is so lax that you have students actually hitting on the younger and better looking teachers. There seems to be no one who will draw a line in the school systems.
I see it all the time. There are teachers who allow inappropriate contact between themselves and students. I do not want to exclude men from this equation, either. They are also guilty of some of the same behavior, but are usually prevented by enforcement of school policies. Women are rarely subjected to this policy because the male students are not likely to complain to officials about sexual advances from female teachers.

I agree with Mr. K. If I was going to be molested by a teacher,
I would choose Debra over Dawn. The sad thing is, out of all the
teachers I had from 1st - 12th grade, I only had 3 I would want to
molest me, and 2 more that I would allow to molest me. I guess Texas
teachers are just not the good looking kind.
I also agree with J.J. in that most teenage boys would not
complain, (maybe brag), about having sex with a teacher.

What was she thinking? Does she know it's wrong and illegal to molest lil kids? A 12 year old being seduced by a 30 year old is wrong. If I was her I would have said no. Always say no to censorship don't take guts to say yes. I'm sorry but this story about Dawn and the kid made me sick and that Dawn seemed like a nice person to do something sick like that. Why did she do that? I feel sorry for her she has lost her life and the poor kid he might be a father at the age 12. I really do not see that and remember always say no to censorship.

Although this is things that happen in our society, we as ADULTS need to help the system fix those problems. As adults we intrust our children in the care of people like Dawn and don't think nothing is wrong.As you can see"we have to check and double check" everything. We teach our children to confide in us when something is wrong when they are young. And it shouldn't change as they grow older. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LOOSE THEM TO ANYMORE DAWN REISER'S!!!!!!PLEASE STAY INFORMED!!!!

I'm with Mr. Kay. Just thinking about back when I was 12 years old. This teacher could have helped me have higher grades as I spent most of my time trying to get in my female classmates pants.

Do these teachers think through their heads that it's wrong to have sex with a student? They don't think do they? They just think sex is ok to have with a student but it isn't. The world is no movie. We can't do whatever. These teachers are really sick who have sex with minors. They should say no at always not yes. Good for the boy that he didn't do anything but bad for the teacher. I think the teacher shouldn't be free have her locked up for good. She looked nasty lookin anyways.

I was a student of hers and i know the boy because he was in the grade lower than me. When i was a studen dawn had a nervous breakdown so when this happened my other classmates and I were not surprised. she is sick and probably the last person i would expect for this to happen to. She was always saying how she was happily maried! Apparently not! everyone hates her now and she was a mean teacher so i didnt like her even before this.

In today's day and ages there are a lot of things that happen wrong. I personally think that there are two sides to the story. The child did say they had sex 12 times in 2 hours, and well that is impossible. Who can do that? What about the DNA? There was no DNA on the scarves!?! How much of the story is REALLY true. Neverless, Dawn is in Jail and will be there for a while, getting help. People can change for the better. Thanks for letting me comment.
