Jonathan Pfender Funeral Threatened Goes Well.

(Updated please scroll down)Evansville Ind. has been preparing to mourn the loss of Private Jonathan Pfender. Mr. Pfender was killed serving in Iraq. The last report I had heard was that his family was awaiting the arrival of his body in Evansville for burial.

FOX59 : Evansville -- An Evansville woman whose son was killed by a bomb in Iraq says she's proud of her son. The Army says 22-year-old Private Jonathan Pfender of Evansville, Indiana, was killed in Bayji, Iraq, during a patrol.

His Father expressed similar pride in an interview on WTVW(sorry no link).

Last night it was brought to my attention that radical group plans to protest this fine you manÂ’s funeral. See this link and make sure you view the entire clip.

WEHT : EVANSVILLE - As the family of a fallen soldier prepares for his funeral, our media partners at the Evansville Courier and Press report the funeral is being targeted by a Kansas based group called the Westboro Baptist Church.

For examples of this groups propaganda see this link and I quote..

Westboro Baptist Church : “God Hates Vets!”

These links do not indicate support, but you have to see it to believe it.

Is it not enough that these people have lost a son? Now these jerks have to “protest a funeral”. Sorry but the proper way to “protest a funeral” is to not go. The proper way to support Mr. Pfender’s family is to respectfully attend. Seems some people just don’t know what rude means any more. What ever happened to “Love your neighbor” or “Do unto others”. If you ask me it’s the members of this group that will be “burning in hell”. Show some respect. I hope Mr. Ellsworth puts you in the old jail about 15 to a cell!

Updated: It's raining like hell on these jerks outside the funeral. Hmm... God's will maybe?.

Update II: Hundreds of supporter stood in the rain in support of Private Pfender and his family, They included Rolling Thunder, Patriotic Guard Riders, VFW, Active Service people and just people. They braved the rain and formed a wall protecting the family from the small number of protestors who were kept to one corner across the street. Supporters also stood watch at the cemetery. In fact the protestors were so outclassed that they left early. Hundreds of bikes showed up to cheers and totally drown them out Apparently the determination of the supporters in the face of wind, Rain and falling temps was far greater than the Westboro Baptist Church's taste for foul weather. They left after a short time. Not one supporter left early. . Said one Patriotic Guard Rider, “It’s all about respect for a fallen comrade”.

WEHT : Pfender's Aunt Vicki Wolf said, "Jonathan would have loved all the veterans the support, forget the protestors this is glory."

Another Family member via Patriotic Guard Riders :

I promised the mother of Pvt. Pfender - she is Peggy Hammond that I would post a quote about her son on our site. I think it's revealing of this young man's character - a true Patriot - It is: "He wanted people to know President Bush didn't come to our door," Hammond said. "He went to his."

Illinois and Indiana are considering laws to make distrubing the peace at a funeral a felony. Indiana at less than 500 ft. ILL less than 300 ft.

Why they got run plumb off! Hell Yeah! Still we grieve for the family and only hope the support can help a bit on a difficut day.

Hat Tip: Dave and the rest of the readers and bloggers who helped fill us/me in on these nuts and those who work against them.

Military Readying for Air Strikes in *undisclosed* Southwest Asian Country

Patrick at Clarity and Resolve speculates that Iran is about to get bombed for its nuclear brinksmanship. Me? I'm thinking the Afghanistan-Pakistan border is looking especially hot today. Let's not forget, though, that Centcom also is over The Horn of Africa where the looming war between Eritrea and Ethiopia has forced U.S. diplomatic intervention. Something about speaking softly and carrying an F-16 suddently pops into my mind.

Fort-Wayne News Sentinel:

Members of the Fort Wayne-based 122nd Fighter Wing are scheduled to leave for Southwest Asia about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday from the unitÂ’s headquarters on Ferguson Road. It represents the wingÂ’s largest single deployment since it was called to Chambley, France, in 1961 during the Berlin Crisis. This deployment is in support of ongoing operations in the U.S. Central Command Air Forces (CENTAF) area of responsibility, which includes Southwest Asia. The unit will deploy fighter pilots, as well as maintenance and support personnel.
Good luck and Godspeed to the 122nd Fighter Wing!

SEE-DUBYA notes: At first I thought, fighters? Why fighters? But F-16s armed with Mk-84 2000-lb. bombs were used by the IAF in the 1981 strike on Iraq's Osirak reactor.

UPDATED NOTE by Vinnie:

We have no compelling national interest in either Ethiopia or Eritrea

The Pakistanis have their own F-16s to bomb with.

Just about every "fighter" in our arsenal is capable of converting to a bombing role. Only the B-52, B-1, and B-2 are strictly bombers.

If this were 1942, the Fort Wayne newspaper staff would have been jailed for telegraphing troop movements.

I (Vinnie) am blinded by my burning desire for revenge in the face of 25 years of Mullahcratic hostility.

It Works!

Whatever it was itÂ’s done now I get to play catch up.

A DemocratÂ’s loyalty $27, this clip priceless!

Via Mudville Gazette : Yes sir my name is Mark Seavey and I just want to thank you for coming up here. Until about a month ago I was Sgt Mark Seavey infantry squad leader, I returned from Afghanistan. My question to you, (applause)

"Like yourself I dropped out of college two years ago to volunteer to go to Afghanistan, and I went and I came back. If I didn't have a herniated disk now I would volunteer to go to Iraq in a second with my troops, three of which have already volunteered to go to Iraq. I keep hearing you say how you talk to the troops and the troops are demoralized, and I really resent that characterization. (applause) The morale of the troops that I talk to is phenomenal, which is why my troops are volunteering to go back, despite the hardships they had to endure in Afghanistan.

"And Congressman Moran, 200 of your constituents just returned from Afghanistan. We never got a letter from you; we never got a visit from you. You didn't come to our homecoming. The only thing we got from any of our elected officials was one letter from the governor of this state thanking us for our service in Iraq, when we were in Afghanistan. That's reprehensible. I don't know who you two are talking to but the morale of the troops is very high."

Iran reaps what it sows. Yes now Al-Qaeda has taken twelve Iranians Hostage. It just seems to me that Iran supports Islamic Jihad right? Just once maybe the Middle East might look at the general support of terrorism to achieve goals that leads to the rise of groups like Al-Qaeda. But no got to blame America. I guess killing all those Al-Qaeda and Taliban is “aiding them”. Well it’s the kind of aid they need in my book.

Foxnews: The Americans use such groups against Iran since they could not directly approach Iran," the Islamic Republic News Agency quoted Iran's Interior Minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi as saying... ..."The kidnappers are under the influence of the Taliban," .

But there is more.

Foxnews : Don't you think that continuation of genocide by expelling Jews from Europe was one of their aims in creating a regime of occupiers of Al-Quds (Jerusalem)?" the official Islamic Republic News agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying (last)Sunday. "Isn't that an important question?"

First of all thatÂ’s just nutty secondly just how did the Jews end up in Europe to start with. Is that not in important question? Again the root source of the problem lies with the Near East but there they go again. Not that Muslims really care all that much anyway.

Funny how this statement From Al-Zawahiri was not released just after the two numbnuts blew up last week.

Asshole Via CNN : “today I congratulate everyone for the victory in Iraq. You remember, my dear Muslim brethren, what I told you more than a year ago, that the U.S. troops will pull out of Iraq. It was only a matter of time.”

Yeah Asshole, if you consider murdering 140 Muslim innocents to get at 11 of our men victory. Oh and you forgot to thank Jack Murtha, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and other antiwar Democrats, how rude. We are kicking Al-Qaeda's ass and every time they try it only multiplies the number of those who hate them. They see us as week because thatÂ’s how they perceive you sir. DonÂ’t work to make that that reality.

Al-Jazeera helps out wife of Hostage.

The wife of Norman Kember, a British hostage held in Iraq with three other Western peace activists since November, has appealed through Aljazeera to his captors for his release.

Yes Al-Jazeera has been quite a big help this week. If you are a terrorist and you need to communicate that is. Please, tell us who chose the release time on that tape from Al-Qaeda #2? (we all know what #2 means)

Actually I hope for the release of Norman Kember and the others ASAP. If the terrorists have an ounce of humanity they will release him immediately.

Dusting crops ainÂ’t like flying through hyper-space kid!

Scottsman: The US air force has expressed an interest in the idea and scientists working for the American Department of Energy - which has a device known as the Z Machine that could generate the kind of magnetic fields required to drive the engine - say they may carry out a test if the theory withstands further scrutiny.

IÂ’m sorry that was totally unrelated to anything. Jawa Tradition.

Storm blogging

Although I could get used to this strange "day off" stuff and tele-commutes I have a big storm rolling in so I'll be brief (looks outside too late hailing).

See Vonski's 12/30 wrap up on positive news in the GWOT.

Vonski: Happy New Year to all! Especially to our soldiers and contractors overseas who have made it their resolution to bring democracy and peace to a region that for millenia has been mired in strife and enmity. The people who thought that all of this could be accomplished in two years have no perspective of history, the cultures involved, nor any concept of what it takes for a country to rebuild its governmental, civil, and military infrastructure.

Amen.

See in the Right place for daily care and feeding of your new new moonbat. Another example of why you should not buy pets for Christmas.

The Right Place : It has come to our attention here at The Right Place that many people foolishly purchased moonbats as pets for themselves or their children during this holiday season. While the appeal of keeping these hideously ugly, ill-tempered, high-pitched screeching wonders of nature as housepets truly eludes us, we hope to perform a public service by presenting these helpful tips for caring for your new pet, courtesy of the world's foremost moonbat expert, Dr. Wayne Bruce

Have a good one. Storm over, I'm going to go eat a BLT and relax a bit on Monday off.

Updated: Link fixed for Mr. Right. I was not online long. Sorry about that I can break a steel ball with a rubber hammer some days. Yes we had rain and hail too. That afternoon got a good trembler. A 3.6 earthquake that shook my desk. Just a little rumble.

Howie (thatÂ’s me) has been blogging now for six months as of 01/01 started about 07/01. Some days I ask myself why. Today I get an answer. . See I kinda wrote this post one time about a Mr Stokely.

Rusty : I don't know which one of you guys wrote the post, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. It's touching to know that a guy like this found The
Jawa. Makes me very proud. Thanks for all your help.

Then this fowarded from Mr. Stokely :

I thank you for including a point to the mudville gazette post "Mike"
regarding my son, SGT Mike Stokely. He was a good boy, great man. We
miss him dearly. But, we have chosen to celebrate his life and what
he stood for rather than languish in self pity for what we have lost,
for that is the best way we, as a family, can show how much we respect
him and to honor him.

thanks,

Robert Stokely

No thank you Mr. Stokely both of you. And thanks to the Mudville Gazette for calling all our attention to you and the rest our men and women and families.

Happy New year to everyone and be careful and try not to hurl unless you really have to and then go ahead, you will feel better tomorrow.

2005, A Sandcrawler Year In Review

It's as predictable as the rising of the sun. The slavering fools of the media are shoving their Year In Review stories down your throats in print and over the airwaves. In their arrogance, they think it's up to them to tell you what the most influential and important news of 2005 was.

Well, we at the Jawa Report hoist our beer steins and shout F*ck You! at these gibbering fools.

Don't read some idiot's recounting of the year, give us what you think was the best and worst, happiest and saddest, most fun and least fun event of the year that is passing.

I'll give you a jump start:

Worst moment of 2005, my mother-in-law, dying of cancer, telling me to "take care of her baby." Those were her last words to me.

Best moment of 2005, celebrating the 10th anniversary of marriage to her baby.

You get the idea.

Patience Is A Virtue

Look, kids, there's serious stuff going down around the world, and the other Sandcrawler inhabitants are doing a fine job of covering them.

So indulge me.

See, I was getting ready to have some fun and smack USC around on here because Texas is a Big 12 team and I have to go with the conference if my beloved Huskers aren't playing in the championship game.

But I just discovered something that is going to stay my big mouth for 9 1/2 more months.

In the meantime, my Jawa Report brethren will continue to bring you the high quality, in-depth brand of blogging you have come to love.

And I will continue to bring you the rambling, semi-coherent, mostly unintelligible posts you have come to hijack the comments on.

Thank you and have a day.

Deutscheland Uber Huh?

Dec 27, 2005 — KUWAIT (Reuters) - A Kuwaiti court on Tuesday sentenced to death six suspected militants linked to al Qaeda attacks in the country.

The six were among 37 Islamists charged with links to militants in neighboring Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Police said some had confessed to planning suicide attacks against U.S. military and Western targets in Kuwait.

Kuwait hates Israel in general and Jews in particular, but hasn't sent them to die in gas chambers.

Germany hates Israel in general and Jews in particular, but has.

Advantage Kuwait.

Kuwait is grateful to the U.S. for being liberated from a tyrant.

Germany isn't.

Advantage Kuwait.

Kuwait treats Palestinians as second-class citizens in Kuwait.

Germany treats Palestinians as second-class citizens by supporting them, in "Palestine."

Advantage even.

Kuwait executes terrorists who kill U.S. service members.

Germany releases them after 25 years of a "life" sentence.

Advantage Kuwait.

Trust me, having Kuwait as a staunch ally isn't all that attractive in the grand scheme of things. But, at this juncture in history, I'd take Kuwait.

Feel free to make your own list, pro or con.

Return of the Howie

Or Honey kitty is being a dildo again. Yes stupid cat jumped on my keyboard it has now hit the floor one too many times. I have keys “v and a” and that’s about it. Never fear I have a brand new Dell box of chicklets under my desk here. What ever happened to keyboards that you could beat a burgler within an inch of his life with and then to return typing?

Jordanian taken hostage.

CNN:In the video, part of which aired on the Arabic TV network Al-Arabiya, the militants called on Jordan to sever ties with the new Iraqi government. They also demanded the release of an Iraqi woman who says she planned to take part in last month's terrorist attacks in Amman.

Syrian Arrested for Lebanon Bombing.

CNN:Abdel-Qadar Abdel Qader was among three Syrian nationals detained earlier for questioning in the Dec. 12 killing of Tueni, who is also An-Nahar's top editor... ...The formal arrest followed issuance of a warrant by Lebanese military prosecutor Rashid Mizher based on telephone calls Qader made before and after the car bombing that killed Tueni and two of his bodyguards, a judicial official said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the investigation.

More of Sadam's handy work discovered in Iraq.

FOXNEWS:Human rights organizations estimate that more than 300,000 people, mainly Kurds and Shiite Muslims, were killed and buried in mass graves during Saddam's 23-year rule, which ended when U.S.-led forces toppled his regime in 2003

Don't miss Michael Yon today as he discusses context.

The second montage by MSNBC, linked below, conveys the ultra-violence of nature against man, the cruelty of man against man, and helps explain why we want the world to be more like the impression we are left with after the “propaganda” montage. And yet, as someone who was out there experiencing some of what was depicted in both slide shows, it’s important to add that both are accurate in what they portray, while each is confined in scope. The difference is subtle, perhaps purely rhetorical. But the consequent impact, and how it influences public opinion, is something closer to cataclysmic.

Taliban blah blah blah.

AP via Yahoo News: In an interview late Sunday with The Associated Press, the commander, Mullah Dadullah, ruled out any reconciliation with the U.S.-backed government of President Hamid Karzai and claimed the country's new parliament — its first in more than 30 years, inaugurated last week — was "obedient to America."

So AP why did you not help us capture this POS. I mean you had him on the phone right?

Hot muslim chick contest. Below find images of OsamaÂ’s Niece Wafah and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. I canÂ’t decide between them, I'm leaning Mirza, help me Jawa readers you are my only hope.

Service Mirza.

Hey Miss Wafah Darfur (Bin-Laden) play a song for me.

Updated: remove redundant crap from title and also it appears Mirza is the winner. I agree strong, athletic, good work ethic to reach her level, most productive partner eh? I fear Wafah may be high maintenence.

Christmas Eve Eve Roundup

Yes Howie wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas. I suspect blogging will be light but for those of you who just need to click something here are a few interesting tidbits. Actually around the cube farm this is crunch time so IÂ’ll see you next week too.

Uh duh, court rules gassing of Kurds genocide and gives chemical supplier 15 years.

CNN:"The court thinks and considers legally and convincingly proven that the Kurdish population meets requirement under Genocide Conventions as an ethnic group," the ruling said. "The court has no other conclusion than that these attacks were committed with the intent to destroy the Kurdish population of Iraq."

Freedom is contagious.

NPR:Iranian Kurds say they are inspired by developments across the border in northern Iraq.

Like there was ever any doubt in my mind.

Iranian bloggers buck represive state.

Timesonline: But if Iran, under the repressive rule of the ultraconservatives, is silencing the sound of Western pop, in another area of its culture, a wild cacophony of voices has erupted. The blogosphere is exploding. In Iran there are now more than 100,000 active blogs or weblogs, individual online diaries covering every conceivable subject, from pets to politics. Farsi is the 28th most spoken language in the world, but it now ties with French as the second most used language in the blogosphere. This is the place Iranians call “Weblogistan”: a land of noisy and irreverent free speech.

Also see USS Neverdock.

The Real meaning of Christmas.

Nationalreview: There is an edge to Christmas, a harshness, and a different kind of promise than that implied by the easy words of peace and glad tidings. It is a mystery, all of it. The Word made flesh indeed, but into a world that was from the beginning set against it, that sought with every bit of strength at hand to stay in the darkness.

Dems love repression.

NYSUN: WASHINGTON - A Senate resolution condemning the president of Iran for anti-Semitic comments he made earlier this month is riling its Republican sponsors on Capitol Hill. They claim Senate Democrats forced them to strip language from the document expressing support for self-determination and a national referendum in the country

Blogfession.

Christmas in Bumfuct Egypt.

Christmas card with meaning, Hat tip Dad.

Let's not forget to read this.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Updated : I've negelcted Voski's very good positive achievments post. He posts this every Friday so get over there and check it out. My apologies to Vonksi for forgetting him last week.

It's been a great year for Howie. Not an easy or quiet year but great fun and with great opportunity and promise. Thanks to all who have supported The Jawa Report by commenting and posting here. And thanks especially to the very good Dr. Rusty Shackleford.

Sexy Bin Laden

Can you Say Fatwa?

GQMagazine:

The niece of the man who orchestrated the destruction of the World Trade Center seventy-eight blocks to the south has a point. After September 11, the name bin Laden (which is how itÂ’s spelled when referring to Osama) turned radioactive, borderline satanic-by-association. It made her feel cursed, presumed guilty—made her wonder if it might keep her from ever getting a record deal. So she took her motherÂ’s maiden name, Dufour, which makes for a better first impression, even though the bin Laden taint is always there.

UPDATE by Vinnie:

Hey, why stop at one?

>"Everyone relates me to that man, and I have nothing to do with him," Wafah Dufour, the daughter of bin Laden's half brother, Yeslam Binladin, says in the January edition of the magazine, referring to the al-Qaida leader.

"I want to be accepted here, but I feel that everybody's judging me and rejecting me," said the California-born Dufour, a law graduate who lives in New York. "Come on, where's the American spirit? Accept me. I want to be embraced, because my values are like yours. And I'm here. I'm not hiding.

WE EMBRACE YOU! WE ACCEPT YOU!

Now how about a Playboy shoot?

Honoring Mike Stokely

I saw this today and I just had to post it. Mike Stokley was a soldier that gave his all in Iraq this year. His father expresses his thoughts over at The Mudville Gazette.

Robert Stokely : For whatever reason, the last few days what Cindy Sheehan said "Casey didn't die for a just cause" has been on my mind... ...My response is that Mike didn't die for a "just cause", he died JUST BECAUSE - just because he loved his country enough to want to serve it since the time he was in middle school; just because he loved his family enough to want to protect them; just because he loved his friends enough that he would rather fight a war "there" than here; just because he believed in our order of government whereby the civilian government rules and the military obeys, and when the President, with lawful authority, calls upon soldiers to go and fight, he believed it was not only his duty, but his honor to go; just because he wouldn't let his fellow soldiers - his guys - go it alone; and just because he wanted to do for others - the Iraqi people - what he would do for his own country.
Robert Stokely, Lucky and Proud to be the Dad of SGT Michael "Mike" James Stokely, KIA Operation Iraqi Freedom 16 Aug 05 2nd Platoon, E Troop 108th CAV 48h Brigaded GA NATL GUARD 15 miles south of Baghdad near Yusufiyah / IED

Let’s remember all the other “Mike Stokelys” this week because this is just one name of many. Remeber the gifts they have given us already this year.

Freedom Friday

Just allow me a word or two about all those anarchy statements. You know the ones like. "but we would not want to trade dictatorship for anarchy". Try replacing the word anarchy with freedom. So with no further delay letÂ’s get on with it.

Filthy takes it to CNN again. No surprise to Jawa readers either Filthy, give em hell.

The Filthy One : So CNN, POSTS in their Red Banner that ZARQAQI CAUGHT AND LET GO BY IRAQI SECURITY FORCES . CNN Jazeera acts like this is Hot news off the press.

What to do with Iran? For sure itÂ’s not out of the realm of possibility that we may find ourselves in a scuffle very soon. Why because they want it of course.

ItÂ’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

Hat Tip Right Girl:

Today, December 15th, 10 Million Iraqis Voted. It was a major victory for Iraq. It was a major victory for our soldiers. It was a major victory for the Bush Administration!

She also sent me a Video this AM of an Iraqi (expat I think) womanÂ’s opinion of America and Mr. Bush. Email me at mchlhwrd@gmail.com if you would like a copy. The voter says in English :

Anyone who does not appreciate what America has done and Mr. Bush. Let them go to Hell.

Uh well put.

Another way to put it.

A new Jibjab featuring President Bush, if you donÂ’t have a sense of humor then donÂ’t click. Hat Tip: Pam.

More Anarchy er uh Freedom excuse me.

Centcom:“In a short time,” said Stevens, “we have made a huge difference for the people of Iraq, but, as this school so accurately reflects, there is much more to be done.”

Support Steve because here is a guy who has lost it all and is living in a FEMA camper and still has a good attitude.

Rick at Saintsreport: I am a mod for a website called Saintsreport.com. One of our regulars got a FEMA trailer a week or so ago and he refuses to let his situation get him down. His little girl is gonna have Christmas, one way or another. He lives in the NOLA area and his house was severely flooded.

Moderates Split from Conservatives? I Think Not.

I’ve never been more proud of Mr. Bush or Mr. McCain. John McCain for sticking with it and Mr. Bush for proving he is a reasonable man. Look out for the “me too” on the left. But no this is Moderate and Conservative Republicans working together and coming to an agreement. Also notice the forward looking let’s solve a problem attitude. Rather than stomp on America these men got together and worked out a good solid compromise. So if the left hopes to cut the moderates from the Republican herd I say to them, “Fat Chance”!

Bush Via Yahoo:

the agreement will "make it clear to the world that this government does not torture and that we adhere to the international convention of torture, whether it be here at home or abroad."

McCain Via Yahoo as well:

"We've sent a message to the world that the United States is not like the terrorists," McCain said earlier as he sat next to Bush in the Oval Office. "We have no grief for them, but what we are is a nation that upholds values and standards of behavior and treatment of all people, no matter how evil or bad they are. And I think this will help us enormously in winning the war for the hearts and minds of people throughout the world in the war on terror."

Could not have been said any better eh? We just get it done thatÂ’s all and with without dishonoring our nation. May God bless George Bush and John McCain they do it just the way it should be done. Rather than go around bad mouthing they get together and work it out like reasonable men. We donÂ’t always agree but we understand each other and love our country first! Common sense practical solutions are what we are all about.

Another reason for moderates to stick with the W man.

Lunch with Howie

Stradgedy

Sixmeatbuffet:Play the children's war game that ties your hands from the very beginning! Fight the War on Terror with nothing but white flags and low-ranking Senatorial game pieces. Fun for the whole family - right up until the beheading!

John Howard and his plan for Aussie Riot control. Alternate. Sunday is for white guys, Monday is for Muslims, Tuesday is for whites again so on and so forth.

A good argument for what happens when gun control goes too far. No gun control at all and you get everyone carrying an RPG. Too much and you get homeowners unable to defend their property from hooligans. Fear of the police wonÂ’t stop riots. On each side you have innocent people caught up in this. If there was a healthy fear that you might spend the next six hours having buckshot extracted from your behind, itÂ’s possible you might think twice about burning some guyÂ’s car. If you are one of those "guns kill people idiots" I have a solution for you. Rock salt reloads are an excellent non-lethal deterrent and does not have to be dug out. Burns like hell too until it dissolves. That should leave a lasting impression!

Also why it is some Arabs move to a country and want to enjoy all the benefits of that country but still they consider themselves Arabs first. Want to live in a western country move there and call yourself an American or an Aussie. But as you can see some of these jerks live in Australia but speak of their hosts as if they are the immigrant. Uh, you can always leave if you take no pride in the country you live in. Stop taking advantage of the hospitality and go build a decent homeland so we donÂ’t have to put up with you. If you want to be a loyal citizen good for you and welcome. Otherwise hit the road Jack.

CNN:"The Aussies will feel the full force of the Arabs as one -'brothers in arms' unite now...,"

There will be stories like this all week. We have a lot of troops in Iraq right now to help with the election which means they are more exposed. Also expect assassinations and attempts to derail the election. I expect that the election will go off as planned. IÂ’m not sure who killed this guy but donÂ’t forget Saddam loyalist Sunnis warned Al-Qaeda this week not to interfere. May be them or rivals or one of the opposition.

About time.

Some people just donÂ’t get it.

CENTCOM:In general, seek to deify man and denounce Islamic Shari’a, as politicians become the “highest authority and there is no other authority above them.
Nope they have it wrong it goes God, People and then Government. See how this works? The Government serves the People not the other way around. Then the people serve God in the manner they see fit. This is the promise of democracy and the separation of church and state.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

IÂ’m a bit perplexed by all this concern for Mr. Williams may he rest in peace. LetÂ’s not forget that if you truly believe that this man was redeemed then he no longer suffers and is free of prison and the evil that plagued his youth. IÂ’ll not judge Mr. Williams statements of late or question if he was guilty of the specific crime he was executed for. I do however want to take a minute to point out the following. Tookie was a very lucky man. How you say? Old Stan as leader of the Crips would have gotten the best drugs, the best women, and everything his heart desired. After his arrest he was most likely treated well in prison by both the inmates and the staff as he held power. Yes Mr. Williams could end your life with just a word. His word could start a riot or end one. Also after his redemption he wrote books was allowed to do other good things. With his execution he becomes even more of legend. I for one hope his redemption was in fact real and may God have mercy on his soul. I support the death penalty but an execution is not a pleasant task it is a somber sad responsibility. By his own admission he was a criminal and therefore justice has most likely been served. So donÂ’t cry for Tookie he did a lot of living no matter how you slice it.

Note: Captain Ed's post was a good one and he has some good links too. I linked him because I liked the post not because he expressed too much sympathy for Tookie. Those posts you will have to find on your own as I won't link em.

A soldier speaks on NPR, nothing like a liberal outlet making our points for us eh.

Hostages Fate Unknown

As of Sunday morning there is still no word on the CPT hostages or verification of the fate of Ronald Schultz. Last week in internet posting claiming a murder of a hostage calling that hostage an “American Pig” and also coinciding with a deadline that had been set by the criminal thugs for Mr. Schultz. Over the weekend the body of an Egyptian man one Mohammed Ibrahim al-Hilali was found dumped like garbage on the side of the road. Here at The Jawa Report Rusty makes a great effort to keep hostages in the news. So no matter the nationality we all hope and pray for the release or rescue of all hostages and for the families of those who have been murdered. The discovery of Mr al-Hilali’s body brings me hope that Mr. Schultz may have been confused with him as the released statement was vauge. Let us not forget that hope comes at the expense of Mr. Al-Halili and his family’s loss. Also it shows that these criminals have no regard for anyone and the threats of death are real as Jawa readers are so painfully aware.

CNN:An Egyptian man was found dead near Tikrit on Saturday, a day after gunmen abducted him from his home of 10 years in the northern part of the city. Mohammed Ibrahim al-Hilali, who was a contractor doing business with the U.S. military, was found Saturday morning on a road between Tikrit and Baiji, police said.
