Slobodan Milosevic Dies in Prison

Slobodan Milosevic(The Hague) Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic was found dead in his prison cell at the UN Detention Center in The Hague.

From Focus-Fen.net:

"It is true," a source close to the government in Belgrade told AFP, when asked to confirm the report.

The source, who requested anonymity, refused to elaborate further.

Milosevic was standing trial at the Hague-based UN war crimes court on more than 60 counts including genocide and crimes against humanity for his role in the Balkan wars, including the 1995 massacre of 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica.

Milosevic was 65. Over 60 counts of genocide and he never gets convicted nor sentenced.

1 no genocidal tyrant should ever be allowed to die of old age. not even ones who slaughtered Muslims. slobo was a bad man - thru and thru. a socialist, a racist, a nationalist who used "ethnic cleansing" and genocide to fuel and forge a deeply corrupt tyranny. some of his enemies were also bad people. this is true of anyone - who like him - rode toughshod over everyone in his way. good riddance.

2 It will probably take the "world court" another 12 years just to make the funeral arrangements.

3 Define irony: A culture going to war against one of its own, who just happens to be the only military leader willing to fight said culture's greatest enemy. The persecution of Milosevich is like that of Patton and McArthur in that our side was more worried about his behavior than the threat posed by the enemy he was fighting. Now, Yugoslavia is overrun by muslims, and non-muslims -Christians- are being forced out of their homes and villages by the muslim scum, yet that's okay, so we never hear about it. The West is doomed to fail by its own designs.

7 With a face like that it's no wonder caricature artists had a hey day. For once I agree with john ryan. Mass murder is never acceptable. In the same vein we can with confidence say that McCarthy was right too. But the manner in which he went about things he invited his own defamation.

10 maxie Slobo fought with everybody! Croats, muslims, Solvenes, (even anti-communist Serbs!). He was the total opportunist fighting to keep himself and friends and party in power! He was the last openingly socialist leftist communist leader in power! I had big misgivings and reservations about US getting involved in the Balkans - but I knew this scumbag for what he and his buddies were. I was teaching at the time - another friend (adjunct Astronomy Professor) who was a retired Army Col. were talking about the recent US missle attack against Slobo's Party Headquarters - it was funny. The MSM could not bring itself to identify the freakin' building by its name! The Yugoslavian Communist Party Headquarters! They also refused to comment on or report Slobo's "speechs" or Party activities inside Serbia! My friend chuckled - to the western lib/left Slobo was an embarrassment - and pointing stuff like this out would be considered "bad taste". They didn't want to kick an ideology (they kinda liked) when it was down and crumbling. Here in NYC there was a small but very vocal demonstration in support of Slobo that was filmed for a leftist documentary (its funny as hell!). It brought out and put on display the fringe of the fringe of the left. Red flags, hanmmer & cickles, "workers of the world unite" ... the whole 9 yards! Every communist in town was there - they even brought in old-time veterans of the "Lincoln Brigade" in their red berets! A sight to see! And the MSM didn't cover it - because it was embarrassing! maxie - I can understand your point - but don't be going Red on me. A scumbag is a scumbag - even if he managed to shoot a few times in the right direction. Oh - and he lost every freakin' fight too!

12 Interesting how headlines like: Milosevic death robs victims of justice (Reuters) Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in Cell Few Tears Worldwide for Milosevic Death # Former Yugoslav Leader Milosevic Found Dead . . .reporting that the death of a former head of state took place while behind bars of the UN prison doesn't raise any eyebrows with the msm? Blatant media double standard here . . . if any one of the Guantanamo prisoners were to be 'found dead in cell' , I doubt the press would be so tame about the circumstances. I see a very different reporting angle taking place should - oh, I don't know, let's just pick, for instance .. Moussaoui being found dead in a cell while incarcerated by US. The UN prison is held to a different standard . . . and I guess that simply shouldn't surprise me.

14 Warrior, it sounds like you're praying to the wrong Jesus - whoever that might be. Maybe you can quote the verse and tell us where we can find it. I'm guessing you're really just one of the Kos kids trying to pretend that you understand Christianity.

27 Do you all realy believe he has made suicide? He couldn't just go across the street to buy some pills to commit suicide. He has been monitored 24 hours a day. He wasn't in the kindergarten. That was worse than Sing Sing! The problem was that "The Hague Tribunal" was not able to produce any evidence. It is so easy to write "articles" for CNN and similar "indepedent" media. But even "The Hague Tribunal" had to deal with some kind opf evidence. After all these years they couldn't find any evidence so they simply decided to "silence" Slobodan! That is all I can say about "civilized countries" who have commited so many crimes. One more murder, who cares! Yes, that is also America!
