If you are not familiar with it, let me tell you about the Spanish experience with the Muslims after the Reconquista. Muslims were allowed to live freely in Spain, and soon after the end of the war for the reunification of Spain, the Muslims attempted a revolution.
Finally, the Spanish were forced to expell the Muslims or force them to convert to Catholicism. They did not want to do this, but it was forced on them. I think that will be Europe's choice again, if it wants to survive.

JJ, unfortunately the powers the Spanish had no longer exist in Europe as it is the Christians that tolerate Islam and kept it amongst their societies. Didn't the Pope plead for tolerance between all religions? with a special mention given to islam. The fact is people will react to terrorism when it gets to the point where they fear for themselves and then drive them out. Europe will have to experience a 9/11 of it's own to get the message that tolerance with these people gets nowhere.

US confirms use of white phosphorus in Iraq
Meanwhile, the Pentagon has confirmed that US troops used white phosphorus during last year's offensive in the northern Iraqi city of Falluja.
Spokesman Colonel Barry Venable told the BBC the chemical was used as an incendiary weapon against enemy combatants, but not against civilians.
The US had earlier denied the chemical had been used in Falluja at all.
However, Colonel Venable denied that the substance - which can cause burning of the flesh - constituted a banned chemical weapon.
Washington is not a signatory of an international treaty restricting the use of white us devices.
Colonel Venable said a statement by the US state department that white phosphorus had not been used was based on "poor information".
So greg, you are indeed correct, the U.S military targeted insurgents positions with phosphor rounds.
