NATO to Send More Help to Iraq
Today's good news watch, NATO sending 300 trainers to Iraq to help bolster the home grown security force. Objections in NATO? That was a rhetorical question. France of course, along with mini-me-France, eg-Belgium. Of course the Frogs and their Zeropa allies have openned up their hearts to the Iraqi people and dedicated exactly zero funds and no troops to help train the new Iraqi military. These same countries also insisted that they be eligible for US rebuilding contracts. More info here and here.

Ayad Allawi is talking to the US Congress at the moment. He is doing very good and Congress is giving him a really good welcome. As long as they promise to stay with them (Iraqi's) he truly believes in the long run it will be worth it not only to US, the coalition forces, but to Iraq and the rest of the world.
Some are standing up and really giving him quite a reception, I hope they stick with their promise of help. He is thanking them for all their help and to please not give up. He is getting standing ovations.
Of course Senators Kerry and Edwards are not there. The man is smiling and getting a very warm welcome. There will be a Q and A later in the Rose Garden.
I hope people get to see this.

I also think NATO could afford more than 300 troops to help train the Iraqi's. Fox is calling him the "Winston Churchill" of Iraq. He is a man under seige and still gives a message of hope to the world, to the American people, to the wounded and to the dead. He did not sugar coat; he believes they can succeed and beat the terrorists.
If you can't see it during the day, try to find it on cspan so that you can hear from the man himself.

On top of that - a long time ago, Bush said that those who sent troops and funds would get the first pick at any rebuilding contracts, after all, they deserve them.
Why should France get anything? They haven't done anything in Iraq at all and their stance still has not changed.
