Murder Deadline for Jill Carroll Set for Feb. 26

Jill Carroll's terrorist captors are warning that they will murder the American hostage if their demand that all female Iraqi prisoners be released. The terrorists gave the Iraqi governmet until Feb. 26th. Also, an informer told a private Kuwaiti TV station that he knew where Jill Carroll is. I pray that this Arab TV station cooperates with the Iraqi and American forces so that Jill Carroll can be liberated from her barbaric captors before it is too late.

A note accompanied the video released of Jill Carroll yesterday. I guess we now know what was on the note. Apparently, there is also a ransom demand.

AP:

The Iraqi kidnappers of American journalist Jill Carroll have set a Feb. 26 deadline for their demands to be met or they will kill her, the owner of Kuwait's Al-Rai television said Friday.

People close to the kidnappers told the private TV channel earlier Friday that Carroll is "in a safe house owned by one of the kidnappers in downtown Baghdad with a group of women," Jassem Boudai told The Associated Press....

Boudai said Al-Rai had received a message from "sources close to the kidnappers." He said the message was not conveyed in a videotape, but "another method." He declined to how it was received and whether the message was delivered to Al-Rai's head office in Kuwait or its bureau in Baghdad — where Thursday's video of Carroll was received.

He said the sources told Al-Rai that Carroll was in good psychological condition and was doing housework with the other women in the place where she was being held.

According to the sources, the kidnappers denied they killed Carroll's translator when the abducted her at gunpoint, as has previously been reported.

1 If this all makes sense to anyone - please explain it to me.

2 All I can tell you is the captors want all Iraqi prisoners freed. I don't know where Rusty heard about a ransom demand but it wouldn't surprising. These captors keep changing their demands. They know an attractive American woman is valuable. Everyone is talking about her more than the other hostages. Hell I haven't heard a thing about the four CPT hostages and the two German hostages. Jill appeared calm because the captors want people to know she is being treated well. Also according to the kuwaiti station, apparently the women in the captors' hideout are making sure Jill is being treated well. I'm hoping Jill will be released or rescued but I don't know what will happen.

5 I am praying for a rescue. I truly hope that there is no thought of giving the hostage takers anything except a slug between the eyes.

6 I read the AP story - it noted if executed then by sharia law. (?????) Can some muslim explain to me why and how such law applies to a non-involved hostage in the first place? Also it notes she's working in the kitchen doing chores - guess that's a muslim's way of saying that's where a woman belongs. And on that subject - if a muslim woman is in fact just a man's household property - then it really doesn't make much sense for the US or Iraqi authorities to detain them anyway - anymore than holding a household pet. This all-over-the-map excuse for a culture can be extremely annoying! I mean - here in NYC we waste so much tax money letting muslims send their daughters to our schools and universities, allowing them to work when others need jobs - I mean - what's the point? Keep your girls and women in their place! Show some freakin' coherent consistancy if you want some respect!

7 Damn Rusty! I know her story is important to you - but you just wiped out everything else for Christ's sake! What were you thinking?

8 OK - all is fixed and forgiven. Assume it was a brief blog linking error. See what happens when you occassionally type with your toes.

9 Where are the protests for this - outrage? Here is someone who was bending over backwards to understand their culture and way of life. And here she is sitting up their in that F***ING scarf, about to loose her life. Where is the Islamic outrage – here? They are spending so much energy on protesting some stupid picture - which no one would have even remembered and almost no time to protest beheadings carried out in their Prophet’s / Desert Moon God’s name. I think that beneath the surface - they support these beheadings. The teachings of the Terrorist Prophet -

10 Rusty, Perhaps this is a strange question: Are the kidnappers attempting to make her appear more young, attractive and helpless? Does it strike you that she was dressed in strange, or non radical Muslim, colors and designs; in both her dress and in the background? Radical Muslim women don't normally wear that combination of green and white with a distinctive pattern. Also, they placed her in front of a background showing a very feminine flower pattern, which is not the norm (black and no artistic designs) of these kidnappers. All of which accented her youth and femininity.

11 Muslims are always bragging about how they respect women, they are such hypocrites, they treat women like trash and their ugly she camels love it.

12 The only way to get the Muslims to be outraged about the kidnapping, and threats of Murder of Jill Carroll would be if in the next video she held up a cartoon of Mohammed.

13 I told you, Iraqi hostages always sit behind a flower pattern to hide their location before they are executed.

14 Mirra, Apparently her dress is reflective of a particular neighborhood in Baghdad, or so I'm told. It's quite typical.

15 Where is the outrage from ANY congress or senate creature at seeing an American woman forced into a burka? Why are ALL Jewish "representatives" SILENT when islam says they are going to kill the Jews and destroy the west? Where is the feminist indignation at a western woman (or any woman) being stuffed into a burka? Or for that matter why no comment at the third class treatment of women in THAT culture? Why will the media grovel before islam for Jill Carroll and not print the allah (piss on him) cartoons ANYWHERE? How many people do we have to see crawling before these animals and having their heads sawn off before we get it? Where is the "leadership"? Where is the "courage"? Where is "the button"? "As for me, give me liberty or give me death" I want those 7th century cowards to die for their beliefs - I want us to win. (sorry to butcher Patton's quote) World War III started years ago, lets call a nazi a nazi and get it over with. Fight islam Now

16 Rusty, Thanks for the information and your clarification on Jill Carroll's appearance . I wasn't aware those colors and pattern were normal for radical Islamic women. It struck me as strange to see their hostage dressed in that fashion. I appreciate the new information.

17 Unbelievers are evil. Jill Carroll is a believer, not an infidel. Jill went to Iraq to do God's work, not the work of George Bush. Muslims are obliged to wage a jihad against unbelievers, not believers. In a jihad the rights of noncombatants must be respected Jill Carroll is a noncombatant. If Jill Carroll is killed, those who kill her will be doing the work of the infidel. Whoever kills Jill Carroll will be cursed in his afterlife!
