MSM Openly Sides With Illegals

Hundreds of thousands march for immigrant rights

Most employers support rallies
Immigrant-rights boycotts concentrated in industries with mainly Latino workforces

Thousands join rally for immigrant rights

Note what all of these headlines have in common: the conflation of legal and illegal immigrants, as indicated by the phrase "immigrant rights". That phrase, as it applies to legal immigrants, is meaningless in the context of yesterday's protest activities.

Legal immigrants have specific legal rights and obligations, which are clearly spelled out in immigration regulations. Once a person becomes a US citizen, he or she is no longer an "immigrant", but a citizen of the United States of America on an equal footing with the bluest Mayflower bloodline.

By choosing to propagate this deliberate and obvious lie, the mainstream media have picked a side, and it isn't America's side.

2 The coverage has been 100% pro illegal alien. The won't even use the term illegal alien. It's taboo. This is mind-controlled society Liberals have brought us to.

3 We basically have our own "palistinians" right here in the good ol' USA and it's all supported by the MSM. I love this quote: "In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." Theodore Roosevelt 1907

4 Can you imagine the coverage of a larcenists' protest? "Thousands of nation's less fortunate march for property and human rights" Add your own for pedophiles, etc.

5 All the media could muster in Houston was "Hundreds protest". Hundreds... and this makes news? They are still illegals.

6 Why don't we suggest that Mexico acts like a temp agency. They can provide us with cheap labor, we cut them a check each month, and they pay their workers that they send to the US. But the paychecks have to be picked up in and cashed in Mexico, not the US. That would guarantee that the workers were not hiding in the US. They would have to go through immigration check points with verified work papers from Mexico. If we were paying Mexico to supply workers I'm sure Mexico would crack down on the illegal's trying to sneak over the border and ruin their chance at larger profit.

7 Excuse me, but weren't the 9/11 hijackers ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS?

Posted by: n.a. palm at May 02, 2006 08:47 AM (vz3mh)

8 Over the weekend, CNN was applying the same lie in the other direction too, referring to conservatives as "those who are opposed to immigrant rights."

9 Has anyone seen the costs of giving amnesty to 15 million or more illegal aliens calculated anywhere? It seems to me that these people would be eligible to receive Supplemental Security Income(SSA), Medicaid, unemployment benefits, and a plethora of other programs too many to mention. How much will it cost, and who will pay for it? Two good questions that need to be asked and answered.

10 Enough is enough. Mexicans are filthy disease ridden cockroaches and we do not want them here in America. It is time a real border is erected and every illegal filthy mexican that attempts to cross is shot and killed by our National Guard border patrol.

11 Unashamed Asshole and fraud - drop dead!

Posted by: hondo at May 02, 2006 10:25 AM (SeBrl)

12 Hondo, I probably will--along with many other real Americans due to all the disease and drugs that these filthy mexicans carry over with them in their illegal border crossings. They are infecting our children, communities, and nation and are a grave threat to our national security. It is better to have a hundred thousand dead mexicans than one precious American be subjected to and infected by their filth.

13 Here comes that "Patriot" guy again, last month it was Arabs, this month Mexicans. Go back to DU, no one falls for attempts to discredit a site by calling for Genocide in a comments screed, then pointing it out on another site asking "why has no one removed it from comments, is it because everyone agrees?" anymore Jack, it's so 2002.

14 What position on this immigration issue have ther American indians taken ? I might guess that they would have some pretty strong feelings on the matter.

15 Davec point me to the "other site".

16 davec, you have me mistaken for someone else. i stand behind my comments 1000% because they are true and morally right. and for your information I am also completely against arabs and their culture of destruction. they have no place in this world because they do not wish to abide by laws or live in it peacefully.

Posted by: Unashamed Patriot at May 02, 2006 11:45 AM (p74Yq)

17 Howie: who knows, they use sock-puppet nicks, then post crap accusing the site of being racist bigots, or worse. Damn, it didn't take John "Moral Equivalency" Ryan long to weigh in, did it? let's also ask the Aborigine's too John?

18 I don't delete him becuase well why delete someone who's main goal is to make himself look so silly. I don't have all day to surf DU if you have the thread that's good enough. If what davec says pans out I'll ban him. I hate to because well frankly, he embarasses himself. Disclaimer: The Jawa Report, Dr. Rusty Shackleford and any of the guest posters neither condone or agree with Unashamed Patriot's calls for genocide. We do hovever belive in free speech and that means you have to take the good with the bad. If he wants to waste his speech being an idiot so be it.

20 I can't check IP's on other sites. If you are trying to point out IM's stuff well at least he is an original and funny. You are neither. I'm glad you are are reader and if you want to contribute that's fine but we don't want others to think we agree with you on your one idea.

21 I have to say that the great non-American walkout went largely unnoticed by me. I did all of my regular Monday activities in the same amount of time.

22 The employers supporting the rallies are supporting illegal immigration, not legal immigration, nor immigrants. The folly of their support is that should their lobbying gain citizen status for their illegal employees, they'll then be forced to pay legal wages, offer insurance, give them vacation time, allow them to join unions, etc. - and then where are they at? Looking for more illegals to hire to pay cheap wages to with no benefits or rights and so they can avoid matching SS and medicare taxes. They're shooting themselves in the foot.

23 Dose anyone ever expect anything less from these left-wing news agentcies?

24 I'm with Robert Samuelson--if we do not control our border, we will lower the standard of living for all Americans over time. Immigration is necessary, but it must be legal, limited, and border control in the post 9-11 world is essential. It is a fantasy to think we will deport 13 million, or that they will all go home if we enforced at the workplace. We have to have a realistic solution for those here, and we have to stop more from coming. The border between the US and Mexico is the greatest disparity in income of ANY land border in the world. Nowhere else does a nation as rich as we are abut a nation as poor as Mexico. So we should expect a lot of pressure to immigrate, legal and illegal. We must have a policy that addresses that. If it takes a wall, fine. If that pisses off the Mexican government, that's too damn bad.

25 This AM on NPR they did one of thse stories of a nice family that had came here illegally. They are find people and doing well. Some had gooten legal status over the years and some did not. One girl when asked if it was unfair to all the others who came here legally even though here mom snuck in. She seemed confused. She said well we had and opprotunity and took it what is wrong with that? She never got it. If I see a car with keys in it that's and opportunity as well but it's stealing. It seems to be a moral problem they don't see breaking the rules as wrong.

26 The MSM is very socialist. They want bigger government, and more taxes. You can call it communism lite. Most of the world has it in one form, or another. In order for the New World Order to have a one world government, the United States has to be weakened. Jobs going over seas, one economic region, transfer of wealth. This has been going on now for over thirty years. You can include abortion as a form of birth control, gay marriage, NAMBLA, and whatever feels good is OK. This is what the MSM supports, and they will not show the other side. Like those pictures in LA. of Marxist signs. We are being destroyed as a nation state a little bit at a time. I feel like it is time to start kicking ass, and shooting those who are terrorist, and full of treason. Set an example.

Posted by: Leatherneck at May 02, 2006 01:53 PM (D2g/j)

27 Yup, the MSM supports NAMBLA...I remember when Katie Couric and Dan Rather were discussing how they could advance pedophilia the other day...because they HATE America...(quick--name the only major network star to spend thirty minutes interviewing a porn star in prime time....YUP--it's well known liberal Bill O'Reilly. Imagine any of the MSM guys giving a porn star 30 minutes?) And the MSM supports socialism. That's why the networks pay those guys such small, proletarian salaries.

28 I was driving by World's Fair Park in Knoxville on Monday, where a few hundred had gathered, and while sitting at the light I heard on their PA system what was basically boilerplate communist propaganda about revolution and "social justice", etc.. I wish I'd had the time to go mill around and get some pics of the event, but unlike our new victim class, I don't have the convenience of taking a day off work. I did see lots of Hispanics working on Monday though, but they'll probably get stigmatized by the actions of the few leftards who seek to exploit them here as they did back home. Liberals, socialists, and communists should all be shot, because they don't do any good for anyone; they're just parasites.
