More on Wilson. You know, Wilson?

From Cliff May, about the Who's Who entry revelation:

You think that might have made them a tad suspicious that she could have some kind of link to the U.S. government? Nah!

Again, what this really suggests is that the agencyÂ’s tradecraft had become as sloppy as its analysis.

So once you marry a diplomat, you're pulled from the field? I can see how that might affect whether certain people are willing to talk to you, but if you have a network of sources and connections already set up, you could still be effective. I don't think being married to a diplomat inherently blows your cover.

I do think Joe Wlson's listing the connection in Who's Who contributes to the pattern of indiscretion I've detailed exhaustively below, where I speculate that he's Judith Miller's source.

1 Oh, Wilson! He was the volley ball head in the movie Castaway, right. That was the saddest part of the movie, when Wilson fell off the raft and floated away.
