Mo Cartoons, No - JC Fellating a Pig, Yes

From Lost Budgie Blog comes news that The Sheaf, the student newspaper of the University of Saskatchewan, refused to publish the infamous Mohammed cartoons "out of respect for Islam". Yet on March 2 The Sheaf published an episode of the crudely drawn cartoon strip "Capitalist Piglet" that depicted Jesus performing oral sex on a pig. In the second panel the pig says that it's "kosher" so long as the Christian savior doesn't swallow.

Visit Lost Budgie Blog for details and the cartoon strip itself, plus updates, including the resignation of one of the editors and an apologetic email from the college president.

1 It's amusing to see how "courageous" these moonbats think they are by insulting christianity. If christians beheaded blashphemers like muslims do, these moonbats would "respect" christianity too.

2 Its never been politically incorrect to bash Christians. There's no guts here, or proving they believe in free speech. They're using the easiest scapegoat. And an interesting usage of a cartoon pig too. Hypocrites

3 I just saw that vile cartoon. Don't even have the words to describe my disgust at these people. God give me strength not to hate them as much as I do.

4 Something I saw upon first hearing of this cartoon with Jesus is that no one is pointing out the second most obvious aspect of it. Not only was it hypocritical to refrain from offending Muslims and then gleefully seek to offend Christians, but the cartoon, even if it were John Doe rather than Jesus, is pornographic. Pornography has no place in a college paper regardless of who the characters are. These people commited two outrageous acts in one.

5 The cartoon exists for no other reason than to be provocative and insulting to Christians. As an editorial cartoon, which is supposed to be a form of artistic commentary, it's terrible. Am I supposed to deduce from this that Christianity is an invention of capitalism and globalisation and assists in the expansion of the McDonalds franchise? Not to mention the fact that the damn thing looks like it was drawn by a five year old on a sugar high. It makes you wonder how bad the artists that got rejected were.

6 Graeme, this is what passes as political commentary on campuses all over the US and Canada. While the soldiers of the UN savage the people they are deployed to protect, and genocide is being committed in Darfur, and Chad has now come under attack from whom? Christians? Or could it be the one they are scared to name? Yes, Islam! And these people continue to fiddle, while Rome burns, and Constantinople falls, and Hungary is depopulated, and slavery in reinstituted, and on and on. I fear for the future.

7 Unfortunately, so do I JJ.

8 So tell me again why we shouldn't include the liberals when we start hanging muslims?

9 I can't wait till these Lefties bring on their long-promised revolution so I can begin to act in self defense. Prepped and ready.

10 There will be no revolution, Carlos, but they are going to steal the next election, I can guarantee you that. They got away with stealing Wisconsin and Minnosota, were hardly punished for everything from votor fraud to allowing felons and illegal aliens to vote. They assualted Republican campaign workers, slashed tires, attempted vehicular homicide, and were hardly punished at all. They will be emboldened in 2008, so the real question is what are we going to do about the theft of an election.

11 Moslems claim Jesus as one of the prophets. Where's the Islamic outrage?

Posted by: Phillep at March 13, 2006 01:15 PM (Xg00m)

12 Phillep : Yes and why after lamenting that "Jesus is not sacred any more" did they turn around and Murder Tom Fox. Maybe because all the Jesus talk is to sucker us.

13 I wouldn't concede the game to them just yet JJ, because by '08 the MSM will be even less relevant than it was in '04,and they can't steal elections without the media covering for them.

14 Now that someone profaned the image of Jesus Christ, do Christians now get to pillage and burn fast-food restaurants and behead cartoonists? Christianity is a Religion of Peace, too, so I think that's what they're supposed to do. I'll just wait for the riots, they'll be starting any time now. Right? Well, they'll start after the mainstream media plasters this story on every newspaper and TV broadcast. Right? Umm.... anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
