. It seems that in her life she went from radical anti-American leftist activist to moderate leftist peacenick. But in her death she has become another martyr for Left's anti-American sentiments once again. Karma, I guess. Hat tip to
.

Well, they don't call them useful idiots for nothing...

You celebrate the death of an honorable woman. I have no doubt she's in heaven.
Horowitz on the other hand betray's America for his beloved Israel. He should be deported.

Israel. His every action is for the benefit of Israel and the detriment of the US. Let him "go home".

FYI- Criticism of America does not equal anti-Amercianism.

Of course it does, by definition. Criticism of a particular policy, on the other hand, does not.

Therefore Marla Ruzica was not anti-American.
Far from it. She embodied all that is good about America.

Marla Ruzicka died because she took foolish risks and refused advice to the contrary. She was neither demon nor saint, simply a confused young person with very jejune political beliefs who thought she was immortal. One thing, however, is unquestionable. Her beliefs included a large streak of anti-Americanism.

Bluto,
You're a fat, bald blowhard. There was nothing anti-American about Ms. Ruzicka.

is there question that she was saintly in her ability to help people?

The fact that she was a compassionate person who cared about the poor doesn't change the fact that she only cared about those who could be used for propaganda purposes against the US. I read a lot about her yesterday, but unfortunately didn't save the links. She was a child of Republican parents who instilled in her the love and compassion she felt, but she allowed herself to become a "useful idiot" of leftist traitors, dictator worshippers, and terrorist sympathizers.
It's a shame that she died, regardless of the circumstances, but it's bigger shame that she turned against her country, because in the end she was nothing more than a propaganda tool of the enemy. That's life though, you choose which side you want to play on, and don't expect any sympathy from your enemies.

Well, only the US pays compensation.

greg,
There was everything anti-American about Ruzicka, from Code Pink right through her last blame-US-troops-for-everything organization. Your emotional response is a clear indication that you realize this, but are simply too pigheaded to admit it.
For your information, I'm not bald. I shave my head. I also fight in full contact Tae Kwon Do tournaments, just so you know, in case you ever feel like repeating your cowardly spew to my face.
Very truly yours,
The Dread Pundit Bluto

"There was everything anti-American about Ruzicka, from Code Pink right through her last blame-US-troops-for-everything organization."-Bluto
Apparently your definition of what is pro-American is narrowly defined. It's all about the silly war as far as you're concerned. America is much greater than that as Ruzicka understood. She tried to show the world America's best face. Finer Americans than Ms. Rusicka and Rachel Corrie are few and far between. That you figuratively spit on Ms. Ruzicka grave by calling her anti-American is reprehensible and cowardly and shows your lack of understanding of true American and Christian values.
Now go shave your head and walk backwards to confuse people.

It's an easy definition, greg (though I believe you misspoke, in your rage, and meant to say "broadly defined"). If you support Fidel Castro and revile the US while in high school, if you volunteer to serve as a "human shield" to protect the monster Saddam, if you twist incidents and deliberately leave out inconvenient facts in how you write about a war hoping to make your own country look evil; you are anti-American.
Now I realize you don't like things like facts entering your own little emotional fantasy world, greg, as evidenced by the snit you've flown into, but maybe if someone had done the same for Marla she'd still be alive today.
You and your friends killed her greg, by encouraging the foolish and self-destructive anti-American activities for which she received so much attention.

"(though I believe you misspoke, in your rage, and meant to say "broadly defined")."-Bluto
No, I meant what I said and I'm not in a rage. I laugh my ass off all day long fucking with you mooks. You define PRO-American narrowly, excluding everyone who isn't "down" with this war. But being pro-American hasn't a thing to do with ones stance on the war in my humble opinion.
"You and your friends killed her greg"-Bluto
That's fallacious. But we shall keep her memory alive for an eternity. That's more than you or I can hope for.

Just like a fighter who smiles when he gets tagged in a vain effort to shrug it off, the evidence of your emotional breakdown here is all to obvious, greg. And it's easy to understand. Anyone who tries to win arguments without any facts whatsoever at their disposal is destined to suffer humiliation. Quite rightly. While you were floundering for a face-saving response I was researching and posting a roundup of successful anti-terrorist activity in Iraq.
And greg, you and your friends DID kill her.

I am a Mom of a social worker/activist about to graduate from college. She is not unlike Marla in both her beauty and her desire to help others devistated by war/policy/social injustice. To know that she died as she attempted to make the world aware of the "casualty of war" should sadden us all. While some of you view her work as "Anti-American"...we cannot dispute that it was pro-life. It is this message she worked so hard to show the world. To debate and discuss her reasons is futile...for it is not her reasons that made the difference....but the lives she has rebuilt. Whether these are Americans, Afghans, or Iraq civilians...they are human lives...who are victims of war. To those that mourn the troops of America and our Allies...my prayers are with you. To those families that mourn the loss of their loved ones killed in conflict everywhere...war is not the answer to find peace, for any of us. This beautiful "child" knew this....and in her death she has given her loudest statement of all. Even the most well intentioned get caught in the crossfire...Now her family will have to learn to rebuild after giving up a loved one to war...just as she helped so many others rebuild.
Marla, the candle of your life was seen by so many. And it has made a difference. And it this world so few of us do.

It is sad that this country and you assholes are so brainwashed. You let a complete idiot make you believe that there is a terrorist around the corner when the real terrorist lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Marla Ruzicka at least had the courage to do what she believed AND risk her life. You fucking faggots just sit around and talk shit. This country will not last because of cowards like you. When the day comes for you to have to fight, you will turn tail and run like that cocksucker in the White House did during the Vietnam war. I went to war and fought already. What have you assholes done for your country? That's what I thought. You don't know what courage is. Well, Marla didn't tell you, she showed you. Until you pick up a weapon and put on a uniform, shut the fuck up and be thankful men like me and people like Marla exist to save your sorry ass! Eat shit and die assholes!

Oh, and to that sissy The Dread Pundit Bluto, are you fucking kidding me??? You do tae kwon do tournaments and that makes you tough? You my friend obviously live in a fucking movie. You think the world is like Karate Kid or something. The reality of death hasn't knocked at your door. Trust me, you'll need more than tae kwon do to save your ass.
