LGF versus Daily Kos

Little Green Footballs is pointing out a jewel of an article over at Daily Kos. The title:

17th street levee bombed by the Army Corps of Engineers

Basically the article takes two "witness" discussions and strings them together. Somehow, this is fit to print and is obviously the result of the massive influx of black helicopters to the region. One quote just totally shot down the story for me:

people are afraid to speak out... everyone who was near there heard the bombings... they bombed seven times.

Seven times? That's the Army Corp of Engineers! At most it would have taken two blasts to send that levee to Mexico with a quickness.

Daily Kos = Unrealistic Ninny

1 Daily Kos = Unrealistic Ninny "unrealistic" implies at the very least that it's within the realm of plausibility. Don't you think you're being a bit generous? And the guy's a fucking moron, not a ninny.

2 Go to the thread at Kos and see how the moonbats discuss it amongst themselves. In a sad pathetic sort of way they're quite amusing.

3 The Moonbattery is reaching epic proportions. The race card is backfiring and the people don't buy the GWB kill the colored folk conspiracy either. It is a great day not to be a democrat

4 Bombed by the Army Corps of Engineers? Since the left is on a roll, maybe it was Haliburton .. or Big Oil .. or Walmart! .. or one of them damn big box home improvement stores like Home Depot or Loews! .. fell free to name the usual suspects.

5 Ha! That's nothing. ABC World News tonight interviewed a resident that lives near the levee and hear the levee break. He claims that the City broke it on purpose to get them. It seems that there are rumors on the leftist sites of witnesses claiming that the Army Corp of Engineers blew the levees, but on WNT, the guy clearly put the blame on the city, and not to save the other areas, but to get them.... New Orleans Victim Claims that City broke Levee, not Bush

6 These morons would be funny if it weren't for the gravitas of the situation.

7 The sad part is these folks (at Kos) actually think they have a shot at 'helping' a politician get elected. Oh, I'm, sorry did I say sad? I mean freaking great. I love those looney tunes political advisors. When they help to lose more elections, they will continue to have no idea why it is so. Whatver they come up with, you can be darn sure it will be conspiratal and the fault of the evil republicans.

9 I missed DSM. Glad you're back, pal!

10 heh, that's too good. The Army Corps of Engineers bombed the levee. It's so stupid it's funny. Relying on IM logs as a source is just retarted anyway.

11 DSM, Are you serious? It's been reported now that NO city officials blocked the Red Cross from going in because they didn't want more people going to the Superdome.

12 DSM, you forgot the Army core of engineers bombing levies. It's all part of whitey's conspiracy to kill niggers.

13 Louisiana's state office of Homeland Security is who blocked the Red Cross from my understanding. Don't quote me, but I think that's what I heard. And someone countered that saying Louisiana didn't have an office of HS. They do.

14 Carlos, Poverty is a conspiracy, yes, a conspiracy of silence and denial. A society is measured by the way it looks after its weakest members. America failed in NOLA, while the whole world watched. It's not about race, even though most who suffered and died were "black" (whatever that means!), and those who pointed guns at them and told them to go back were "white". It's about class, caste, and wealth. The rich look after themselves and leave the poor to drown, literally, in the filth and mud. You can turn this into a left/right argument, but you don't help anyone like that. Of course, helping others is something that only civilised societies do. America has slid so far into the depths of criminal selfishness that comments like "dumb fucking niggers deserved to die" are pretty much par for the course. Wait until it's your turn, buddy, when the gas runs out and your cities turn into deserts. Watch while the ultrarich take what's left and kick you out to die. And wonder whether this is really what conservatism is meant to be? Kick the poor guy in the balls while you sip champagne? No. Conservatism is about open economies, small state, self-help, and above all, a solid society based on high moral values.
