So I head over to the American Spectator's site, like I do every weeknight, and I see the graphic for this weekend is a shot of the Bush Admin bigwigs at Crawford, which I shall reproduce here before it changes again Sunday night:

So woll Downing Street Memo next post the names of the Iraqis NOT murdered by Saddam Hussein who are now living better lives than they ever could if people like him had his way?
Will he post the names of the women and children gassed to death with his approval by Saddam Hussein?
Will he post the much shorter list of names of Israeli children murdered by suicide bombers who were encouraged by Saddam's promise of $25,000 to the family of each "martyr"?
Will he post a list of the names of the protestors in Lebanon who, emboldened by the Bush Doctrine of encouraging democracy abroad, are fighting sucessfully and peacefully for the freedom of their nation?
Will he post a list of the dissidents in Iran, Syria, and Egypt who are daring to hope for freedom from repression for the first time?
No, he won't. Things like that don't meet DSM's approval. All he sees are bodies to stand on, and a political agenda to reach for.
All he hopes for are more bodies because he thinks that the more Americans die the closer to his goal he is.

hey guys, i really dont want to drag this post off topic, but i finally vaught up on reading 3 days of newspaper here in NJ, though youd like to se this if you havent already...very interesting stuff....its a snippet from Salman Rusdie's new book coming out Sept 6th "Shalimar the Clown"...here it is..."There is growth of a different Islam. The odd thing is that to post the names of every soldier we have lost in this war is not a bad idea. We all would probably have gleefully taken the time to read each and every name as DSM suggested. To use it in a manner as he did though is disrespectful. It was not to honor them but to shove them down our throats. As if the thought of losing even one soldier is something we relish.
I hope the idiot is permanently banned. He cares little for those soldiers and less for the living that they have sacrificed for.

Haven't we been here before? I'd better lay off the sauce.
Must go for now. Team Greyrooster is taking 8 (that's right) wheelchair bound little smart asses fishing tomorrow aboard our 35' Cabo. Don't feel sorry for this bunch as they are animals. Only way I can control them is to take the brakes off their wheelchairs and gun the engine. I call it payback. Stack them up in the back. I can get away with it because parents are not allowed on boat. Only big and little party animals who like to fish and see whales, dolphins, sharks and other neat creatures. After fishing the beautifulm Breton Sound we will go to Sand Island to the old civil war fort for some history and swiming. we will be going to the southside cafe in Slidell, La. It's a Marine Corp hangout full a neat stuff. The food is good to. I will return with nothing a sore back and a smile. I'm getting to old to take these beatings.

I'm amazed by Finn's ability to say something that sounds smart at first blush, but is in reality tragically stupid. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common problem among young people, which I guess goes toward explaining why most young people are liberals; they're smart enough to think for themselves, but just not any good at it yet, like a baby learning to walk that constantly falls down. From all the idiot over-the-hill hippies that one sees these days, appaently a lot of people never get the hang of it.
