The irrelevent one speaks. Odd position considering it wasn't long ago he was
Obviously been hanging at the Waffle House again.
Defeated by Bush last year and a potential candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, Kerry called for a "reasonable time frame" for pulling back troops rather than a full-scale withdrawal advocated by some Democrats. He said it could be completed in 12 to 15 months.
Now that's what I call some seriously contorted reasoning.
1
Here we have Kerry demonstrating his superior military intellect. Using his logic we can bring all the troops home tomorrow, and we will be victorious.

The general speaks - due note that it is designed solely as a political gesture for the cindy crowd here - and has absolutely nothing to do with military planning in combat - he'd cut the ranks and leave their six open without thinking twice - boy! he really loves the soldiers!
If 20000 were not needed in field today, they would be home tomarrow - with Rumsfeld taking bows (and I don't even like him) - what a collection of leftist morons!

Why he's figured out the answer for the Houston Astro's! They've got too many men on their roster. If they will just remove five of them, then they'll sweep the last four games of the World Series. Brillient!

A couple of points. I thought I heard Brit Hume today characterize the flip flop as occuring within paragraphs. He was for more troops before he was for less troops!
Whatever, Kerry uses a time honored political tool here. He steals a page from the opposition's playbook. The commanders have been predicting (for a long time) a troop drawdown will be starting soon. I know the 3rd ID is soon to start packing it up to return home and from what I can see at Global Security I see no division replacing the 3rd ID (at least entirely).
It will be up to the Iraqis to finish off the terrorists, there is no one who denies that. It is apparent that the Iraqi Army and Police are quickly coming up to standards and from what I gather many Iraqi units depend on the US for logistics, they fight well and in a disciplined manner. Logistics though is not as easy as one thinks. Get the terrorism down to a certain level, brin the Iraqi army up to a level and then start to draw down. Very simple actually.
It is funny, they talk about no plan and yadda yadda yadda, but when asked about their plan it almost always exactly identical to the President's.

To me this seems like a challenge to the Prez. If Bush, for whatever reason, is unable to pull 20,000 troops out of theater then he would have to explain why. Seems like a trap to me.

oh! so
this is the infamous John Kerry's plan he was all telling us about, two stage:
A.) Go to the U.N, play on the fact you're not George W. Bush and you're left in a terrible predictment by a evil tyrant of a former President, beg for them to intercede with troops.
B.) If Plan A Failed,
Run away!, Run away!

The reason Dems/libs are demanding a timeline is that they need a way to quantitatively say that Iraq is a failure. If a timeline was established, the next step is for them to hope that the timeline would not be met providing excellent stats to back up their false claim that Iraq is failure. Currently, the only quantitative fact they have is the death count which is why it's being exploited as much as it is.

In short, according to Kerry, and indeed all libtards, the best way to win is to run away. Okay, considering that they live in a black-is-white world, then that means we must not leave until the last terrorist is dead.

Various Kerry positions over the past year:
1) We should have listened to the sacked general and sent in more troops
2) The U.S. army presence is what is causing all the trouble there (wait... shouldn't there have been more troops?)
3) While Bush's "as long as it takes" is the wrong track, we should stay there until things are done right (which differs how?)
4) Despite #3, draw down the troops.
Is there anything this guy won't say? Other than "I do" to a gal that ain't rich?

Kerry is a traitor. He mouthed the VC's words when he made his impassioned plea for the war to end. A prize cocksucker if ever there was one.
