Is the Right Being Outgunned in Online Video?

OK, so I had this idea. Being a huge believer in online video as an effective medium, I figured I'd do my part to highlight conservative / libertarian videos I could find posted on the web.

Of course, Michelle Malkin and the other talented folks at HotAir.com are doing an excellent job of producing and highlighting conservative video, but they certainly don't need any help from the likes of me. I was specifically looking for some amateur videos "off the beaten path," so to speak.

To make a long story short... I had to spend forty-five minutes searching YouTube.com to find an amateur video that supported a conservative / Republican / libertarian position. I found plenty of amateur videos about conservatives and Republicans, but the vast majority were negative.

And, no, I don't think there's some sort of vast left-wing conspiracy to squeeze out conservative video. Most likely, there are simply many more left-wing videos being produced right now. More importantly, there are impressionable young minds soaking in their messages. That's something to think about.

At any rate, here's the video I found. As I find more, I'll be posting them in the future.

1 Good point, Eye. I think that there's a certain technical threshold with video that means fewer people know how to do it, and also that it takes longer to do, which means the gainfully employed people on the right who can squeeze in a blog post here and there are less likely to undertake a video. I'd like to see that change, too.

2 I'd much rather hear a conservative like Ted Nugent backing up the visuals, or "Hey Man, Nice Shot" by Filter. :-)

3 I was searching 'round youtube for more right-oriented video. There's lots of pro-military stuff, but here's one of the funniest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGcMula2a3Y The UAV pilot says, "I'll try not to crash this thing..." Funny all the way through.

4 If I recall, that video was made by Tim West, who is active in the Libertarian Party.

5 To find a "conservative/libertarian" video is like finding a "socialist/libertarian" video. Conservatives are socialists of the soul and just as opposed to libertarianism as are socialists who are material socialists. A pox on both their houses.

6 By "conservative /libertarian" I meant either conservative OR libertarian. I suppose that wasn't fully clear. But more to your point, like it or not, the libertarians have allowed themselves to be classified into the larger "conservative" tent, hence the terms "social conservative" (i.e., Moral Majority / Christian Coalition) and "economic conservative" (which could, unfortunately, mean either libertarian (laissez-faire) or corporatist (fascist)).
