Iraq and McVeigh?

I am not one to believe in conspiracy theories. But this sounds like some good groundwork to linking Iraq and McVeigh--although the connection to 9/11 sounds a bit strained.

Let me anticipate some scoffing here: I heard of Jayna Davis and her pursuit of this story before 9/11. It's not just some Iraq war thing. This has been in the works a long time and I hope it's worth it.

I'm not saying this is true, only that it sounds like Davis has done enough work to raise this idea above the deep muck of half-baked ideas about 4-19, into something that's worth looking into. Remember that the FBI only recently uncovered detonators underneath Terry Nichols' old house.

Why were they still looking?

H/T to Okie on the Lam, a fine blog that makes me homesick.

1 You should also look up "The War Against America: Saddam Hussein and the World Trade Center Attacks" by Laurie Mylroie published in 2000 (republished in 2001 with additions) talking about the possible link with the 1993 bombing. Interesting reading with a lot of documents included as evidence. I'm not convinced he had anything to do with it however, but when you let the justice department handle terrorism as a policing matter you're bound to miss state entity links, and leave lots of questions.
