Venom the IRA were financed by the jihadis and the Russians. I always found it ironic that hardcore Catholics would side with islamofascsits and communists, but then, there is a dark undercurrent in the Catholic church, as personified in the "liberation theology" that was behind so many of the ruinous wars in Central and South America.

IM: The Church's main concern should be with the spiritual, not politics. Many of those involved "down there" were of the liberal variety.
