Some time ago we brought you the story of hot Muslim model Michelle Leslie, a.ka. Michelle Lee, being warned by an imam to stop posing for lingerie shoots. If you'll recall our original story, you'll remember that we complained to no end about the imam's fatwa. Good Michelle Leslie = lingerie, bad Michelle Leslie = burka.

Well it turns out Leslie donned the burka during her imprisonment in Indonesia to ward off being raped by the filthy buggers who had her imprisoned. The Border Mail:

MODEL Michelle Leslie wore Islamic dress during her stay in a Balinese prison on drugs charges to avoid being raped, she says.

In an interview with New Idea, Leslie said she wore the traditional Muslim headdress to protect herself from men inside the prison she feared would rape her.

Apparently, her thuggish guards wouldn't dare rape a woman in a burka, but they had no problem raping a woman in prison garb. Because, you know, if you're not wearing a burka you're just asking for it.

From what I understand, male U.S. prisoners do somethething similar: they tattoo crucifixes and 'Jesus'.....on their backs.

Anyway, Michell Leslie is pretty clear that the only reason she donned the clothes of the ultra-conservative Islamic sects was that she felt she had no choice:

“I decided to dress in the Muslim burqa. I chose to wear Muslim dress for one reason and one reason only, to protect myself,” she said.

“When I put on the burqa, people were more respectful and I’m sorry if anyone is offended by that. But over there, it’s a case of whatever gets you through. I think anyone else would have done the same.”
