I guess her "captors" decided they didn't want soldiers coming in to rescue her, especially since it was probably her idea in the first place, and they obviously weren't going to make any money in the deal. Heh. She was a nobody reporter who is now world famous, and the hajjis get a price on their heads. She played them like suckers.

Good news, I was on lat night I have a google alert on her. Last 20 alerts or so were all repeat stories. 3 Well, IM, I'm still glad she is free. Hopefully she will show restraint in her comments.

As predicted by others, her first statement amounts to: "I was not harmed", "I was not threatened" "I do not know what lead up to release" and "it's important people know I was treated well." Still wearing her dhimmi scarf. Good grief. send her back.

Well, look at the bright side. We didn't risk the lives of any US, Coalition, or Iraqi soldiers to rescue this maggot. Peace be upon her.

Have some heart. To think that she had something to do with her own kindapping is foolish. She probably was treated well--most hostages are--and she probably had no idea what was going on. None of this excuses the barbaric practice of taking hostages and threatening to murder them if political demands aren't met. Carroll may have been a fool, but she was a victim.

Rusty: Yes, her crying face on her hostage video vs. "I was not harmed" and "I was not threatened" (well except by automatic weapons, and threats to execute her) Sympathy? I'll save that for the people dead at the hands of the same.

Grow up Davec. Jesus fucking Christ. I have to deal with a lot of idiots in this board. At least Rusty is happy for her. Why can't you be?

No, Mr. Savage, you don't have to deal with a lot of idiots in this board. You don't have to come here and comment, and just for your information, most of us here are convinced you are an idiot.

A useful idiot, Mr. Savage!

Posted by: jesusland joe at March 30, 2006 09:34 AM (rUyw4)

Anyway I'm happy for Jill Carroll. She can be reunited with her family.

Posted by: Robert Savage at March 30, 2006 09:35 AM (CnDtU)

Robert: Yes I am glad her interpreter was returned to his family too, except her ennobled captors arranged for that to be in a six-foot pine box. Not to worry, though they gave Jill tea.

Posted by: davec at March 30, 2006 09:52 AM (CcXvt)

Hey I'm sorry about her interpreter. He didn't deserve to die. The poor guy just wanted to earn some money to feed his family so he became an interpreter. No need for sarcasm Dave C. I'm not defending her captors. No one deserves to be kidnapped. I'm just saying leave Jill alone. She was treated well and I'm glad for that. That doesn't change the fact her captors are monsters. The Nigeria hostages who were recently released said their captors treated them well and that they forgive them. Are you going to call them moonbats too?

Posted by: Robert Savage at March 30, 2006 10:06 AM (CnDtU)

Robert: I must have missed the part where they killed a member of their staff, and then forced them to make tearful pleas at gunpoint and threatened them with execution on Video? also forcing them to wear Islamic garb [maybe] , and yes after that if they came out singing the praises of their captors, I'd call them moonbats too. thanks for playing.

You are welcome. I hope we get the chance to play together again sometime. I'll bring you some gourmet cheese. Anyway Welcome home Jill

Those who doubt my beliefs will feel funny when she signs her million dollar book deal.

Posted by: Improbulus Maximus at March 30, 2006 05:15 PM (0yYS2)

I don't doubt you, IM.

Robert Savage is using an Alias because he's a coward. He's an 18 year old douchebag who's unemployed. Be nice to him, he's sensitive and pretty naive.

Hi there Garner. I see you are having a good day. How are your lovely wife and children?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm tired of fighting with you. I apologize for my asinine comments. I'll be leaving this blog in a few months. I'll be graduating and it's time for me to move on with my life. Yes I have pimples and no I don't live in a basement maxie. You said to be honest and I'm being honest with you. If someone uses my name to insult you. It's not me. Someone is getting their kicks by insulting you. This is why I used many alias. Rusty uses an alias. Oh and I'm still in school. Don't insult me for not having a job. I'm working on it. Anyway have a good night.

It's okay kid. We all had pimples once. I myself was a pizzman for a while.
