Greetings

Hi, my name is Suzanne. I'm one of the people who's going to help Rusty blog.

In other news, the pilot of the Cessna 150 is still in
custody.

1 Has anyone been able to learn this pilot's name or seen a photo/mugshot/news coverage? Typically, names of the accused are released immediately and photos are plastered all over the cable news channels. But not in this case. Why? Makes me wonder if his name is Abdul Mohammed something-or-other.

2 Even if they're now sure it wasn't a terrorist attack, they probably need him to sign some papers that forbid him from sueing them for causing unnecessary mental and physical stress, and most likely some sort of confidentiality agreement to assure he won't start publicly mocking the people handling the crisis for their overreacting.

3 Last month a private plane violated restricted airspace over Helsinki. Oddly enough, no one gave a shit

4 And how many Pentagon's were mated with a jet in Helsinki? How many World Trade Center's came tumbling down with catastrophic loss of life over there? Unfortunately, they don't get it...and consequently, that's why no one "gave a shit" as you so eloquently put it.

5 Let's hope it wasn't a plane under VFR in Vantaa's landing approach and no one cared. If Finland isn't concerned about it's restrictive airspace then we should set up some web cams for exciting crashes that will follow.

6 Wecome Susanne, It is odd for them to hold the pilot this long. Sever other incidents have resulted in the pilot being released quickly once it was determined it was simply accidental. I'm waiting for the rest of the story whatever that is.

7 Hey Finn, bummer about the Russians eliminating your hockey team yesterday.

8 I hope they gave him a full cavity search just for being so stupid.

9 "I hope they gave him a full cavity search just for being so stupid."-Glutamus Maximus And you're just the man to administer it I reckon; a graduate of Abu Grabass University.

10 Yeah, just don't offer to sell a videotape of the cavity search, greg's mastercard is already over its limit.

11 Oh, you're so witty Robin! So, so sad.

12 Brad: Darn those Russians... Czecks sent you packing as well. Now there's no reason to watch the matches. The next world champion will be Canada, or maybe Sweden... No, Canada. Matt, Brad and Charles: Yep, we don't have to think of every plane as a possible tool for terrorists. I don't think we have restricted air spaces outside military bases.

13 Finn, I think they should play sudden death overtime if it's tied after 3 periods. These shoot outs are a joke. Matt does make a good point Finn. I would rather have our people over react than get caught sleeping. Sometimes the world forgets, we were attacked.

Posted by: Brad at May 14, 2005 11:10 AM (pO1tP)

14 Yep, shoot outs stink. At least twice more overtime before them would be good. Overreacting isn't a bad thing as long as no-one gets killed.
