Florida Credit Union Smearing Troops

Look at this picture. Apparently, whoever put up this sign doesn't support our troops or our President.

Fair enough. It's disgusting, but this is a free country.

Now take a closer look.

The original sign was put up by employees of Cornerstone Abatement and Demolition Co. in Tampa showing their support for the troops and for the President. The "Not" sign is actually on the property of the Powernet Credit Union, which has the adjacent property. Pretty slimy tactics.

The President of Powerline Credit Union is also said to have forced an employee to park his car elsewhere because it had a pro-Bush bumper sticker on it. I believe that this is a violation of federal law.

Do you know what your credit union is up to? Richard at Hyscience has the rest of the story and what you can do about it.

1 Down with powerline credit union. Lets riot, burn them out, whatever the muslims do in situation like this. Only a low life wouldn't support our troops. This is what happens when you put a democrat in charge.

2 If some of the PowerNet CU members want to express their feelings about the President and his foreign policy, they should at least have the courage to put up their own banner and not just screw with someone else's.

5 They hate the troops? Not surprising.

6 I think it's a manufactured *outrage* I believe the credit spokesman when he said the "and our troops" banner was only just added recently, and said he expected trouble then. So up till that point he disliked George Bush enough to let moonbats use his land for a "NOT" banner (which by the way, doesn't even make sense, above the banner.) welcome to America, dissent is everywhere, I'm just glad his feeling is strong enough he's willing to ostracize his customers for it.

7 This is bound to happen when people attempt to equate supporting the troops with supporting the president. Read the sign, and you can see why people get annoyed. The support of our honorable men and women of our military are never meant to be synonymous with the civilian leadership of our country.

8 >>>This is bound to happen when people attempt to equate supporting the troops with supporting the president. They didn't equate loving Bush with loving the troops, they simply said they love the troops and also love president Bush. But some folks are so driven by their hatred of Bush that they didn't even give it a moments thought that they were also insulting the troops. It wasn't even an issue apparently. But c'mon, you Lefties don't support the troops. You can't kid a kidder! I know sometimes it's politically expedient to say you do, but that doesn't make it true. So you end up with "NOT" signs that insult the troops because you're "support" is politically calculated and cynical.

9 Good for them for telling the Corporate-Commie Bush to go f**k himself. I support those troops serving in Iraq that are breathing in depleted uranium on a daily basis and being encouraged against their will by their superiors to commit war crimes, but not this little manchild of a president. In fact, it is Bush (or, rather, Cheney), more than anyone, who is letting our troops out to rot. How anyone, left or right, can deny this after over three years of this rotten war is beyond me. Whatever you're smoking, I want some of it. And when Bush and the flamboyant, limey dictator Blair decide to nuke Iran, as they will, look out. American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan will be the victims of a mass genocide, in large part because Bush, Blair, et al. couldn't resist starting another needless war. And in great part because we simply do not have the capability to fight such a war, especially if China and Russia side with the Iranians (an all-too real possibility.) So, who is it that is really supporting the troops here? You brownshirted, wanna-be NeoCons that are eager to be part of the ruling class that gets to torture the rest of us when Martial Law is declared? Granted, there are some brainwashed, moronic lefties who care nothing for the men and women in uniform. But that doesn't excuse the unamerican and treasonous activities of this administration and its supporters. If anything, many of those lefties are working with the administration and its allies in order to discredit and destroy not only our military, but the United States at large. World government is just on the horizon, folks, and you'll have the likes of Bush and Clinton to thank. The left hand washes the right hand, and vice versa. It's called the New World Order; it's real, and it's here now. Either you fight it, or you're part of the problem. Being a "moonbat" or a "wingnut" is just contributing to the enslavement of humanity. Don't believe me now? You will eventually, when you've got a microchip under your skin and your pension fund has been raided. You will when your young children are being taken by jackbooted thugs to rape rooms. You will when you're starving and politicians like Hillary, McCain, Kennedy, and Bush laugh all the way to the bank. Until then, good luck to you, because those few of you still believing in Bush, the GOP, or the Democrats are enemies of our once-proud Constitutional Republic. America is dead, at least until enough of us revive it.

Continuous cuts to veteran benefits are being perpetrated by this republican run congress, not the lefties since they dont control anything. Furthermore, check out this website.. http://www.democrats.org/page/content/fightingdems/candidates/ over 50 veterans are currently running for office on the democratic ticket. We will see how you righties support the troops now, you will smear and denigrate them as you do Frank Murtha, John Kerry, and Max Cleland.

15 Continuous cuts to veteran benefits are being perpetrated by this republican run congress, not the lefties since they dont control anything. Splatter, LOL! That's how you Libs support the troops, by lying? Yes, the proverbial "budget cuts" to veterans benefits is just another Lib whopper: Principi Decries Myth of Budget "Slash": http://www.houston.med.va.gov/HOUSTON/pressreleases/news_20030424.asp Re Democrat politicians who are veterans, the status of veteran doesn't give someone a pass to be a total asshat.

Posted by: Jesusland Carlos at June 05, 2006 01:58 PM (8e/V4)

16 Do you know who Anthony J. Principi is? He was the United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs. A Bush Appointee. He is what they call a paid whore. The same year he made that statement the 2004 budget cut funding for veteran's health care and benefit programs by nearly $25 billion over the next ten years. How many veterans are running on the republican ticket? Find out and compare numbers with the veterans running on the dem ticket. Let us know what you find out.

Posted by: Splatter at June 05, 2006 06:49 PM (rtnQC)

17 >>>A Bush Appointee. I don't have a problem with him being a "Bush appointee", after all, I voted for Bush. You must be young. Democrats have been referring to efforts to slow spending growth as "budget cuts" for decades. It's an old scare tactic. "Yet even so, funding for veterans is going up twice as fast under Bush as it did under Clinton. And the number of veterans getting health benefits is going up 25% under Bush's budgets. That's hardly a cut." http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docID=144 So as you can see from that chart, funding for veterans benefits has accelerated under the Bush administration faster than it did under Clinton. Now who's the whore? huh? Now who's the IGNORANT fear monger and peddler of outright lies? Not Principi.
