Expert: Al Qaeda Has Deployed Nukes

Paul L. Williams will argue this Friday that al Qaeda is already in a position to use tactical nuclear weapons against the U.S. I have heard many experts claim that al Qaeda has sought to possess nuclear weapons in the past, or that they may already have several 'dirty bombs', but from time-to-time we hear the claim that they are already ready to use nukes against us. I'm not sure if the latter thinking is just low-probability worst case scenario planning or if some really believe al Qaeda has nukes. If they do, why haven't they used them yet?

WND:

A terrorism symposium featuring leading experts will begin with presentation of "tangible proof" al-Qaida not only has developed an arsenal of tactical nuclear weapons but also has begun to deploy them for use in its jihad against the United States and Israel.
Jeff Epstein has put together a fabulous line up of speakers for The People's Truth Forum. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend. If you are in the greater D.C. area, though, I highly recommend it. The symposium will be at the Doubletree in Arlington, VA this Friday. Here is the info.

1 Not trying to troll or anything, but how reliable is World Net Daily? Sometimes they seem solidly on it, and other times it seems like they're coming out of left field with something (not unlike DebkaFILE). I've seen this claim about AQ having nukes floating around for at least a year, if not more, so do you think you could explain why WND is a more legitimate source than, say, Debka (or the NY Times, for that matter)? Again, not trolling, I'd really like to know, since there seems to be such a wide variety of opinion on them. This is a sincere question.

2 WND as a source is just as reliable as any other. It is not WND making the claim--they are just reporting it--it is Paul Williams. So, if we're going to question the source it's Williams we should question. And to that, I am not prepared to give a reply. Although, I remain, as always, skeptical of such claims.

3 Last weekend, the mil-blogs held a conference in D.C. They did a fabulous job of live streaming on the internet (not without some kinks but, never the less, a really good job) along with a live chat room. It would be fabulous if this symposium was able to replicate their efforts. This is the way of the future where all interested parties, regardless of their locale, can engage and LEARN from these events.

4 I doubt the terrorists have a nuclear weapon. If they had it, they would already have used it. However, I believe the terrorists will have a nuclear weapon within three years, and I believe they will use it. That is why I am preventing my children from going to any major metropolitan area. I wouldn't live in NYC or even visit there until we get our borders under control, and I mean ports, too.
