People have been evacuating throughout the night along the gulf coast of Texas. Driving all night reportedly has net people forty-five miles traveled. Not making good time but getting out is better than staying behind no matter how long it takes.
I'm curious if New Orleans looked anything like this before Katrina hit. If you have pictures or information about Houston traffic please drop me a line.

not to be a dick, but I did not see many windows boarded up on residential houses in most of the footage of NO, in preparation for the hurricane.
Compare that to reports in Florida, that Home Depot / Lowes have had to bring in sheets of wood from out of state because they're selling out because people are buying it in mass to protect their windows from damage.
At some point you have to be responsible for your own safety, and prepare.

My company has alot of employees in Houston. The company tried to get hotel rooms for them but couldn't so they have been asking employee here in DFW to house these families for a while.
I now have a couple and their kid living in my spare bedroom.
We've all gotta do something to help.
