Dirty Bomb Plot Revealed in U.K. Court

No comment. Sky

One of the suspected terrorists on trial for allegedly plotting a nationwide bombing campaign has been linked to a nuclear weapon.

An Old Bailey jury was told Salahuddin Amin had been involved in discussions to buy an atomic bomb.

The prosecution said contact had been made with the Russian mafia in Belgium to buy the radio-isotope device.

Seven men - all British citizens - are on trial accused of conspiring to cause explosion.

The prosecution claims the gang planned to blow up pubs, nightclubs, trains and also considered hitting the UK's power infrastructure.

1 Are these the same guys who purchased (or planned to) large amounts of Fire alarms, to remove the alpha emitter to create a "dirty" bomb?

2 I have been watching this on Fox news. This is a great example of what I write about Islam. I realize not all Muslims are terrorists, but almost all terrorist are Muslims. Hondo, do you agree? I.M.? J.C.? J.J.? Oyster?

3 there attempts to "buy" atomic materials from the "russian mafia" were a joke. Didn't they realize that the "russian mafia" would snitch them out in a heartbeat ? As for most terrorists being muslim that may be correct but of course the Basque ETA the Irish Ira all of the Columbians both right and left the Tamil Tigers (orginators of the sucide bomb vest the Maoists up in Nepal The various armed gangs in the Congo etc are all pretty much non muslim

4 Mr. Ryan, Where is your compassion? Those are freedom fighters. I am talking about moon god worshippers that are in the news every day wanting to kill you, and me, and everyone elce that belongs to the great satan. Come on man, wake up!

5 Leatherneck, I don't think it is legitimate to equate terrorists with freedom fighters. Freedom fighters have to operate in a way that will enable them to effectively govern should they ever be fortunate enough to win. Terrorists are not burdened by that constraint. If you need a clear example of the distinction... look no further than Hamas. Their winning the election is probably the worst thing that ever happened to them.

9 No, not all muslims are terrorists, but enough of them are to warrant wiping them out to the last one. Leave no rats in the nest.
