Danish Cartoon Protester Sent to Prison in UK

Omar_Khayam_at_london_protest_over_danish_cartoons_dressed_as_suicide_bomber.jpgDoes it surprise anybody that one of the protesters in London that showed up in front of the Danish embassy turned out to be a convicted drug dealer? Omar Khayam is pictured here dressed as a suicide bomber at the now infamous protest in which signs were painted with slogans such as "behead those that insult islam" and "slay those that insult Islam".

British prisons, like their American counterparts, are rife with Islamic extremism. Prisons serve as an ideal recruiting ground for Islamists and jihadis who help 'turn around' the lives of criminals only to direct the convert's energies towards helping build the ummah and creating the ideal Islamic state where future criminals, convicted of the same crimes, can look forward to such punishments as beheading, stoning, and lashings.

Via Jihad Watch this BBC article:

A demonstrator who imitated a suicide bomber in a Muslim protest over cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad has been recalled to prison.

Omar Khayam, 22, of Bedford, is a convicted drug dealer who was jailed in 2002 and released on licence last year after serving half his sentence.

He was arrested and recalled to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.

Khayam apologised for his "insensitive" protest on Monday but said he had been offended by the cartoons.

Usually I react to being offended by binging on fast food and ice cream. But, maybe its just a cultural difference.

1 Ah well. Assville, population you bro! Here's a suggestion for dealing with guys like this in the future: After arresting them, stuff their vests with real explosives and shove them out the back of a C-17 over an AQ / Taliban / *insert terrorist group here* position. Everybody wins.

2 I love the idea Graeme, but I wonder why he wasn't killed right there, on the spot, by wearing such a costume. Nobody was worried by seeing a guy walking around dressed like this? In UK? Come on! - Max

3 Max, that's what happens when the population is unarmed and the police have been brainwashed into thinking more about discrimination and lawsuits than enforcing the law of the land. The UK, sorry to say, is growing more fetid everyday because of it.

4 What's mohamad's ruling on dealing drugs? Perhaps sharia law is not a bad idea, for them...... This guy is lucky to be in a UK jail.

5 Shaira some wiggle room there. Well they didn't really have any "bad" drugs back in Mohammed's day. The muslims like the baptists don't approve of alcohol. This is part of the reason that I do not think the muslims are behind the recent church burnings. There are some parts of the Koran that prohibit taxing those things that give pleasure to the poor. So in Afghanistan in the 70's most people preferred to think that meant hash and opium were allowed.

6 I knew muslims in college--decent chaps, for the most part-- who would get high 24/7, but wouldn't touch a drop of alcohol because it was forbidden by the Koran. And I say "for the most part" because when the fatwa came down against Salman Rushdie, these chaps went from civilized to rabidly fanatical in their calling for his death. The transformation was nothing short of stunning.
