BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi forces thwarted a triple suicide attack on Baghdad's Green Zone government compound on Thursday, killing two bombers before they reached a checkpoint and capturing one alive, a U.S. military spokesman said.
Police guarding the checkpoint spotted what they identified as a suicide bomber driving toward them during the morning rush hour, Brigadier General Donald Alston said. They opened fire, and the bomb went off before reaching the checkpoint.
Two other bombers, strapped with explosives, then ran toward them but were gunned down. One survived and, after an Iraqi explosives expert defused his bomb, was taken into custody.

I am hereby dubbing these 3 terrorists as "Islamotards." An Islamotard is a sort-of-but-not-quite-there Jihadi.

Sounds like an attempt to use to the car bomb to take down the checkpoint, and the two on foot to explode amongst the carnage. Good on ya to the Iraqi police for stopping this attack.

If it weren't for your tinfoil hat conspiracy theories you might get some respect around here, that and maybe you could start cheering for our side for a change. You seem to think that we're a bunch of fanatical hardcore Christian Republicans, but we're really mostly libertarians to one degree or another, and can collectively find many faults with our government and the Bush administration, but we understand that our nation is under attack, and this is no time for childish games.
