Australia's Daily Kos closes up shop

Tim Blair has the details, and a bit of what seems like gloating.

Apparently Margo Kingston, a frequent target of Tim Blair's scorn, had tried to swing it as an independent web journalist--one pushing a leftist agenda. As much as I'd like to see that sort of independent journalism succeed and be financially viable, I'm glad to know the fine citizens of Australia weren't receptive to her anti-American, anti-Howard politics.

1 Which proves once again that it takes more than tinfoil, Kool-Aid, and irrational hatred to make a good blog.

2 I don't know about that, Maxie, Daily Kos and several others seem to fall within those parameters to me. Of course, Kos is really not a blog anyway.

3 Ever notice how the leftards have tons of blogs with no traffic, and a few with high traffic, whereas conservative... sorry, I mean neocon JOOOOOOOO-loving blogs, are quite numerous, and there are a lot more that have a good readership, with fewer being totally ignored, or the sole focus of the reader base. Kos is a good example of where the real moonbats hang out, and in droves, but for all the comments on any one post, there's naught a brain to be found among the authors, unless of course a conser... I mean neocon JOOOOOOO-lover stops by to poke fun at them.
