Army of Ansar al-Sunnah Murders 7 on Video (Images)

ansarmurder1.jpg
The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah has posted a video of the murder of seven Iraqis. Images and links to the video are posted below.

In a statement released Saturday, the group claimed that the seven had been captured in a raid near Abu Ghraib. The victims were called "apostates" and forced to confess to the "crime" of cooperating with American forces.

The video shows several clips which have been edited together. The first two clips show two different groups of men 'confessing'. Three are dressed in civilian clothes while the second four are in military fatigues. Next the video shows three men being gunned down by two men with AK-47s. A second murder scene follows. All the victims lay in the dirt, face down, and are shot in the back. The last clip shows a single individual being shot at for a lengthy period of time as the shooter misses over and over.ansarmurder2.jpg

The Islamic Army in Iraq also released a video of three Iraqi National Guardsman claiming that the three had been captured in the same raid. Further evidence that terrorist organizations are cooperating in Iraq.

In a seperate video posted by the Ansar al-Sunnah today, a translator begs Iraqis not to cooperate with Coalition Forces before he is shot.

WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES FROM THE VIDEO POSTED BELOW!!!!! The video may be downloaded here. There is a free registration requirement, however, if you have some money to donate I would encourage you to do so.

Why do I post these images? You would be surprised at how many people think the 'opposition' in Iraq is some sort of freedom movement. These people think that the sophomoric pranks pulled by US soldiers in Abu Ghraib (which consisted mainly of 'humiliating' Iraqis by stripping them naked in front of women) is somehow equivelent to what terrorists do.

I show these images so you will have no illusion about who we are up against. This is not an EXECUTION, it is MURDER. These people MURDER all who they capture.

1 Rusty, exactly who thinks what the terrorists do is "equivalent" to what US Soliders in Abu Ghraib do? I feel like asking you to show me an article that specifically says that the actions of the guards at A.G. are WORSE than the actions of terrorists but lets be serious...why are we even looking for a way to compare the two?? THIS IS NOT A COMPETETION. Instead of trying to prove that what they do is worse than what we do, why can't we all just step back and see these actions for what they truly are: *The terrorists are sick bastards who murder people as a political act to induce fear. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. *The guards at Abu Ghraib who abuse and torture prisoners are sick bastards that either act on their own or are following the orders of sick bastards. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. Some of you make it sound like the AG Guards are playing against the Terrorists in a GAME OF MORALITY and the Terrorists are winning. Do you realize how stupid that is??? With that out of the way, it is clear what the insurgents are doing with the recent targetting of iraqi police and workers. They bomb police recruit buses and stations in order to prevent iraqis from joining the force that needs to assert itself the most in that region in order to bring peace: The Iraqi Police. They kidnap and murder workers of outside contractors in order to prevent iraqis from helping the rebuilding of iraq. I end this post with a plea to the people of Iraq: Do not lose hope. Join the police and strike back. Work hard in the rebuilding of iraq and ensure a better tomorrow for your children. Then again, I guess it is a good thing that in their current economic state, they really have no choice but to join the police or work for American companies...its the only way they can make money to survive. So instead of wasting all of your time worrying about who is wrong, consider that innocent iraqi citizens have to go to work knowing that they might be killed everyday. I don't think they give a shit about whether or not things are "equivalent".

2 Ted Kennedy

3 I believe Ted Kennedy said the abuse at Abu Graib was similar to previous management (saddam). Again only complete fools would compare murdering hostages and AG. YET, if the US pretended that nothing happened or even advocated it, then Mr Kennedy would be correct.

4 In the picture that has the guy setting up the fake hostage the little flag behind him is too high off the ground and the ground he's sitting on is kind of chipped but in the picture that was in the newspapers the ground isn't chipped the same way. What do you think about THAT?

5 Murder is murder and comparing AG to these actions is a short cut to thinking. Atleast the USA is investigating and prosecuting individuals. Terrorists are ruthless bands of idiots who believe beautiful virgins await for performing such despicable acts. And as for Ted Kennedy, he should know a thing or two about human rights violations. Leaving a woman in a car at the bottom of pond for 8 hours? He must care deeply about those abused thousands of miles away or is he just another Liberal rogue Senator posturing to his base. I would hatch the later of those to inquiries, or not as the case may be.
