2 Hilarious! Especially the crude soldier asses (something I doubt would be allowed to be depicted under certain Middle Eastern governments) and the dead Press person. However, one question -- since the Americans are shooting to the left, and the Press person is behind their lines, doesn't that mean the enemy had shot Mr. Press? Just wonderin'.

3 Thanks for pointing that out Mike. For a minute I thought I came here on a regular basis but apparently I'm wrong.

4 Methinks "Mike" isn't a person or troll. I think he's one of those new "ahole-bots" that post random comments. As for the cartoon, well there you go. Eason was onto something. His friends agree.

Posted by: Gordon at February 15, 2005 12:11 PM (dqTOU)

5 Sorry Gord. I never meant to hurt anybody and be a total "ahole". Just didn't see the mountains of comments down below before he began make gay jokes with his friends in after study hall. Picking on Atrios will get those hits rolling in, eh Rusty?

Posted by: Mike at February 15, 2005 12:17 PM (ELnLC)

6 Mike, last time I checked I was one of the top 100 bloggers out there. The truth of the blogosphere though, alas, is that the top 10-20 bloggers get about 1000x as many hits as we second rungers. That, and the fact that my readers have better things to do than hang out at a website all day--it's called a 'job'.

Posted by: Rusty at February 15, 2005 12:23 PM (JQjhA)

7 Mike, last time I checked I was one of the top 100 bloggers out there. Prove it. A Star Wars political blog written by a 14 yr. old? The most hits you've ever gotten are from taking a dorky shot at Atrios, and even then it's really not that many. Show me where to "check", I won't even bother you for a link, I know you've got to get back to building that tree fort and ditching out on study hall.

10 Apparently Mike's native language is Ad Hominem. He's quite fluent.

Posted by: Brian B at February 15, 2005 12:43 PM (CouWh)

11 I once knew that language, but I forgot it because Rusty is an evil, evil poopyhead with a big head that smalls like poop.

Posted by: Wine-aholic at February 15, 2005 12:46 PM (Wsn+K)

12 It even smells like poop! (whoops)

Posted by: Wine-aholic at February 15, 2005 12:47 PM (Wsn+K)

13 Hey Mike, Site Meter has Jawa averaging about 3,400 hits a day. Send us your blog so we can not give a shit. Thanks.

14 The Truth Laid Bare? Jeezus, you're really reaching there. Come up with some evidence that isn't a part of your closeted little echo chamber.

Posted by: Mike at February 15, 2005 01:29 PM (ELnLC)

15 He showed his proof. Why don't you lay your proof on the table, professor Mike IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME! Find for us the objective source that you imply Rusty did not find, oh great guru! Until you come up with anything, it seems like Rusty wins simply on the fact that he made and supported his statement (I know, novel concept).

Posted by: Wine-aholic at February 15, 2005 01:49 PM (Wsn+K)

16 Sorry Mike, Rusty is at least backing up his claim. The fact you may not like the content of his blog doesn't really have an impact on how popular his blog may or may not be.

Posted by: Venom at February 15, 2005 02:02 PM (dbxVM)

17 HA! The person holding the press guy is the Iraqi translator. Actually Al Jazeera has some amazing cartoons. They make fun of everybody!!! Good to see some of you and of course Brian B who always comes to the rescue. We don't always comment, Mike but we hit here or at least I do first thing every day and probably 3 or more times a day to see what else the prof wrote. It's the first website I go on each and every time. If you looked up Rusty in a Yahoo search, he comes up as the third entry so he must be doing something right. For those of you who have nothing good to say, just move on,we don't need you or want your remarks. Cindy Another long time reader/commentator here

18 At least once a day, everyday, Mike . . And who the fuck are you? Or, better . . WHAT the fuck are you?

Posted by: large at February 15, 2005 05:50 PM (VRK2g)

19 Mike is just in a deep blue funk because he's mortgaged his future on a nearly extinct loser ideology, ironically called progressivism. It's easy to spot losers, they're so bitter.

Posted by: firstbrokenangel at February 15, 2005 09:54 PM (PEKrh)

22 what i don't like about the first photog is the american flag/patch is backwards on the soldiers arm. the patch is to signify that the americans are ALWAYS moving forward. the stars should be in the upper right hand corner. reviewing pictures of actual BDU will confirm this. not to be pedantic or anything like that.

Posted by: louielouie at February 16, 2005 09:13 AM (i7mWl)

23 louielouie - thanks for pointing that out. i always wondered why they seemed to have the flag patch on "backwards". mike -FOAD.

24 If the press doesn't like to die on the job - they should probably get out of a WAR ZONE!

25 Fuck you Mike. No one who reads this blog likes your dumb ass.

26 Has anybody else noticed the "anger, hatred, jeasously, and hatred" that reads through every post written by Liberals? They never bring context to the debate, but they always bring the others. That's why I'm convinced that "Liberalsim" is a disease. My parents always told me; "if you are going to argue with someone, always prepare your facts first".

Posted by: Keemo at February 16, 2005 10:20 AM (p3bmE)

27 So now this artist could not be a Muhmadanen (poht) becuase they can't depict the human form right?

Posted by: Bullshark at February 16, 2005 10:36 AM (m6fxr)

28 I think penicilin cures it Keemo. Here's the deal about the cartoon. Al Jazeera has been saying for years that the US targets reporters. So when Eason Jordan starts saying the exact same thing as the propaganda arm for global jihad something is bound to happen. You could almost hear the ulalating when al Jazeera heard that a prominent American journalist was on their side in this thing. Didn't take them long to propagandize on it.

Posted by: Rusty at February 16, 2005 10:37 AM (JQjhA)

29 The questions are: Does Al Jazeera have a Rainbow Room? Will they hire Eason Jordan? Can Mike get cleaned up and find work there? These stories and more on the next episode of SOAP SUDZ!

33 Keemo, This is a big part of the Cheap & Easy, "Mountain Dew Buzz" fun of liberalism: "Instead of preparing your facts (boring), always argue with someone first!"

Posted by: Ross at February 16, 2005 11:30 AM (QcRaA)

34 I bet "Mike" is one of the Leftist Cult acolytes who's only :::ahem::: "intellectual" reponse to viewpoints outside of his/her cult consists of variations on the theme of nyeh nyeh nyeh, you're just a poopyhead!

Posted by: Darleen at February 16, 2005 11:40 AM (FgfaV)

35 Rusty: Mike is a fine example of progressive logic. First make an assertion. Then when the assertion is knocked down by facts, ignore the facts and go on the attack. It is the flat earth approach. "The earth is flat!" "Oh, those satellite photo's are a capitalist plot to keep the lumpen proletariat enslaved." "You round earth people are the ones that kept the blacks enslaved and are supporting the Zionist plot to eliminate the palestinians so no matter what you say we know it is a lie and you are nothing but drooling lynch mobs who should be eliminated!" Plato rolls over in his grave everytime he hears how low the debate skills of the progressives have sunk to.

36 Funny how a silly troll makes a complete fool of himself but at the same time takes this discussion completely off track. Sly bugger. Thanks for posting these cartoons. Some believe that Jordan's comments were innocent and have no downside. They are wrong.

Posted by: King of Fools at February 16, 2005 02:15 PM (ktIW6)

37 LOL...this is a classic...the troller just got handed his ass on a platter. Never mind "Mike", because you moonbats have been wrong about just about everything else over the last couple of years, these days hardly anyone takes much notice of you guys and your frothing invectives, so just like every other time you get spanked like this, you'll be able to slink away, lick your wounds, change your name, and hey presto, you'll be ready for another round of misfiring trolling. (Sorry to participate in dragging this so far off topic. If this keeps up, blogs are going to start linking to this thread just to see Mike's humiliation)

38 eh Mike, Have you ever heard of the word, "sitometer"? Try reading Rusty's traffic stats before you embarass yourself. Oh silly me, those remedial math classes don't teach chart interpretation.

Posted by: Mirramele at February 16, 2005 06:39 PM (tZF/7)

39 Could "moonbats" now be retired as a term of abuse? So two or three weeks ago.

Posted by: Jerry at February 16, 2005 09:07 PM (r2js1)

40 No.

41 Retire "Moonbats"?? You go and wash your mouth out right NOW young man!! Retire "Moonbat"...Humph Mind you, I think its time to retire the whole "that's so...ago" thing, (its just so last week)

42 I think it is significant that all the cartoon soldiers are shown to be left handed as that hand is the "dirty" or "unclean" hand in that culture. A point not lost on their Arab audience I bet. Anyway, will the MSM now admit that Eason Jordan's comments were not unfortunate mis- or over- statements that have little consequence? I doubt it! Rifle 308-a soldier in Iraq. PS Jordan's charges did anger a lot of us here.

Posted by: Rifle308 at February 17, 2005 02:23 PM (nDksJ)

43 does anyone know the right email at CNN so these cartoons can be sent to them with an appropriate note?
