Al Jazeera Video Debunked By Fox

Al Jazeera continues to report that a video they obtained depicts Thursday's attack on US Marines, even though it has already been debunked by military sources as canned video from an unrelated incident that happened earlier.

Their website also displays false information about the video:

Aljazeera broadcast a video on Saturday from a group called the Islamic Army in Iraq showing the attack on the US patrol near Falluja on Thursday, the deadliest attack on US troops for four months.
The truth behind the video was revealed earlier today on Fox News (watch "Terror Tape" video), in an interview with American Colonel Barry Johnson from Baghdad. The video being played on al Jazeera depicts troops moving along a street accompanied by a Humvee. The Marines were attacked in a courtyard; no Humvee was present.

Sometime this afternoon al Jazeera added a paragraph deep in the body of the story saying that the video is unconfirmed. They continue to feature a still from the video with a caption saying it is of Thursday's attack.

A more strongly worded version of this post is at The Dread Pundit Bluto. Caution: may be offensive to little pussy lickspittle quislings.

3 What gets me is that there is Americans working for Al Jazeera. Some low lifes will do anything for money. Of course one must realize that if they were good reporters they would be working for a decent newspaper. I see greg the traitor is still playing with 8 year old boys. Some things never change.

5 Okay, is this propganda, or is it only when the US tries to tell its side of the story?

9 Just to add to Greyroosters comments...Mate, there are alos Australians working for Al Jazeera at present. I too believe that these people are traitors as sightings of Al Jazeera camermen on the streets of Iraq was considered a combat indicator that an IED or VBIED attack may be about to occur. This actually did happen to an Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV) in Karrada on 25 Oct 05. So, to all the Australians working for Al Jazeera...reconsider your employment on were your loyalities lie...no more Australian casualties!
