Abu Muscab al-Zaqueery Bloopers

Fearsome Mujahadbeen can't operate cool assault weapon in video.

ABCNEWS (video bloopers here): Lynch said Zarqawi decided not to publicize the piece, which shows him decked out in New Balance sneakers. In it, he said, Zarqawi had trouble firing his automatic weapon and needed assistance from an aide, and his associates "do things like grab the hot barrel of the machine gun and burn themselves."
LOL! The little fat fool wears designer infidel sneakers too.

Fox's Video is a bit better but slow loading.

UPDATE by Rusty:

Royalty paid to al Qaeda by al Jazeera for propaganda video: $5k
Abu Musab al Zarqawi blooper reel: priceless

What's so interesting about this is that it comes on the heels of several academic studies suggesting that the best way to discredit an insurgency group is to make fun of them. I. Kid. You. Not.

2 They are playing with his mind now...they want a reaction and I think Zarqawi will react...and we got him.

3 And yet, we still haven't managed to turn him into a red cloud. Better to be lucky than good must be his motto. Such a pity, though given the competencies around him, Zarqawi may end up being done in by his own associates poor understanding of weapons systems. All that said, it's hilarious watching the video takedown of Zarqawi being unable to figure out why his machine gun isn't firing. That's something out of a Daily News skit. And the fashion police critique. Sorry, those sneakers do not go well with jihadi chic. /lmao

4 Zarqawi is an incompetant fool who preys on women little children and is afraid of an unarmed truck driver. Hey Zarquawi....BITE ME!! Bwaahahahahahaha!!! Jihad THIS toolboy!

6 Good one!

7 The MSM is actually showing this video, knowing those bastards it'll only be a matter of time til they're asking why we haven't won and come home yet given this level of jihadi incompetence. Given the way he was handling his weapon, I'd be truly surprised if Zarqawi hadn't accidentally shot at least one of his men. "Oh, a thousand pardons Abdul, I thought the safety was on, oh well, say hello to allah for me"

8 Fantastic PR for the New Balance guys ... NOT

9 The Army should have included a laugh track. One other item of note is Zarqawi's lack of gun discipline. Notice how when he's finished firing the M240 he's nice enough to sweep the muzzle across the guy standing next to him.

10 I always said that Zacqueery was a BS artist and a pussy. He has now won his membership to the "Iraqi Minister of Bloopers Islamic Bullshit Club".

11 Maj Gen Hussein Kamal told reporters that Zarqawi was detained in the central Iraqi town of Falluja, but was released when nobody recognised him. Falluja was the scene of a massive US-led operation in November 2004. Zarqawi's group, al-Qaeda in Iraq, has claimed responsibility for many of the biggest attacks of the insurgency. Gen Kamal said Iraqi police had detained Zarqawi for about three or four hours before releasing him. "Iraqi police forces, who were in Falluja then, did not have sophisticated equipment to take pictures of him or take his fingerprints," he told the Associated Press Damn he fought in the city of falluja and survived and eluded the u.s forces now thads a fuc king fighter. I cant wait for his badass movies to come! sorry tony montana you will be replace.

12 Yes, the video of Zarqawi is funny. However, I should point out that if you put the M249 SAW in the hands of most people in the US Army, they would not know how to fire it properly either. I spent three years in the infantry, did time in two conflict areas, and I saw incompetence from well-trained infantrymen much worse than poor little Zarqawi displays. In Haiti, one soldier fired his M60 machinegun by mistake and sent a burst of nine bullets into a crowd of demonstrating Haitians. I donÂ’t know what is worse, the fact that he misfired his weapon, or the fact that he couldnÂ’t hit anybody in such a target rich environment. One night, during desert training in the Mojave Desert, an entire fleet of helicopters almost landed on our third platoon whose tents were set up apparently in a landing zone. Just seconds before the Blackhawks crushed our guys, someone was able to call the birds off. I could go on and on with stories of misfires, live fire exercise mishaps, getting completely lost for days, Humvee accidents, etc. all of which if they had been filmed and put on the internet would make the US Army look like the Keystone Cops in uniform and give Al Qaeda a good laugh. Don't take this cheap attempt to humiliate Zarqawi seriously. He may not be the combat leader he pretends to be, but he is certainly a competent organizer and planner. At least Bin Laden knew how to fire his assault weapon.

13 Nice apologetics for terrorists there Curt. So, how's your stockpile of butt lube coming for when your new masters take over?

14 Apologetics? I guess my meaning wasn't clear. I noticed that a lot of people's comments on this and others' blogs called Zarqawi's competence into question. I was trying to point out that he shouldn't be taken lightly just because he is not a real soldier. He is what is known as a "staff weenie." Someone who plans operations but has someone else carry them out. We can laugh at his antics all we want, but we shouldn't fool ourselves into thinking he is less of a threat than he really is.

15 "Don't take this cheap attempt to humiliate Zarqawi seriously." Wait - let me get this straight - cheap.attempt.to.humiliate.zarqawi. Nice. You almost sound offended. Curt, you're pointing out the obvious with both comments. Of course we know how dangerous he is. However, if they were careful and didn't want Zarqawi to be seen as incompetent, they would have been more prepared before filming or they would have destroyed the cuts. In their zeal to show what "badasses" they are, they didn't care to prepare much and got careless. That is telling. Zarqawi has screwed up big time. He has finally let his celebrity go to his head. He has now shown himself to be fat and slovenly in appearance and demeanor and lackluster in delivering his message. He'll make another mistake soon enough. The point of the blooper is to send back a little of their own bull___. You know, a little demoralization? To poke fun at them, if you will. A little ridicule directed toward their honor is a smart move. We all know how they are about their "honor". While true there may be as many in our military who have little knowledge of handling this particular fire arm, what you have missed is A) someone in Zarqawi's outfit allowed that portion of the film to reach the wrong hands and B) it's just plain funny as hell. So lighten up and remember - you're not the smartest person in the room imparting wisdom to all us neanderthals.

16 Fully, this is the one tape that Al Jazeera has not bothered to run or even post a story about on their site. Would love to hear their explanation why. Then again, maybe not. What ever happened to that reporter/photographer the US nabbed?

Posted by: Fred Fry at May 05, 2006 06:11 AM (JXdhy)

17 Yes the terrorist may be dangerous. But that's what they want. The danger is real. But I refuse to let them get to me. I'll make fun of em until that UBL surrender video is published.

Posted by: Howie at May 05, 2006 08:25 AM (D3+20)

18 Maybe we shouldn't laugh at them the same as we shouldn't kill them, as it only fans the flames. Maybe we should just surrender and convert. Or maybe we should start hanging muslims and liberals.

19 Root 'em out with ridicule!
