religion of peace riot and murder over cartoons, it really tarnishes the image of Islam. [*cough*]
Isn't it always great to hear Muslim leaders speak out against violence because it makes Muslims look bad? As contrasted to, I dunno, Muslim leaders speaking out because violence is bad.
To be fair, some Muslims, including one in the article, did condemn the rioting in Afghanistan as intrinsically wrong.
Of course, it begs the question of whether or not such blasphemy would be legal in a 'moderate' Muslim state. Which, of course, it isn't.

Yes, the awful truth is that most Muslims see violence against other people as just another means to an end, the end being the end of all other religions and beliefs other than Islam.

>>> "Aggression against life and property can only damage the image of a peaceful Islam," said the statement released by Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan and the EU chief Javier Solana.
THREE organisations were needed to put together such a stupid statement? No doubt it cost the UN and EU several hundred thousand dollars to prepare it. The way Annan and Solana are tacked on to the statement, it gives the impression of dhimmis obeying their master.

Just a few bad apples lol evrything is going swell in Afghanistan. Stay the course, elections, democracy, girls in school, etc; don't pay any attention to the large groups who can only be controlled by gunfire.

Its all staged - a global pep rally for the islamists - wouldn't be necessary if things were going their way, now would it?
Yes John - I believe in attempting to build democracy and hold elections in Afghanistan - I believe in educating girls. Its not easy! Guess that makes me a fool in your eyes ... thanks for the compliment.

Why nobody is talking about how offensive those cartoons are? Freedom of speech cannot and shouldn't exceeds its limits ana thereby offend someones religion.. I really think these cartoons are nothing but a intentional game -by some mysterious forces- over muslim community.

Give him the benefit of a doubt - for the moment. Brian, some of us here are offended by the offensive cartoons - and not because of "Freedom's" excesses! They are unnecessarily and deliberately offensive to Religion and show no respect whats-so-ever. Some of us personally would not do it - out of respect (we were raised and taught that way). Whether the muslims appreciate that or not doesn't matter - if not - screw them!
But don't start babbling about "freedom's" excesses! You are already walking that line reference "limits". Clarify yourself - or STFU.
