Never forget.
Forget what?

Was that the thing in Japan where Jane Fonda like stood in front of a tank to protest communism?
Yeah, I'll never forget that.

I thought Tiananmen Square was one of those mathematical paradoxes, like Fermat's Last Theorem or something. Hell, I will never forget... I think I spent three years trying to resolve the equation. Good luck to everyone!

Didn't Jane Fonda get run over by the tank? Or is that just age, and Ted Turner's kinky obsession with candle wax, that screwed her face up?

Ted learned the candle was thing from
Castro one wild drunken night in Havana.

Yea, kind of makes our relationship with China seem a little hypocritial since we can't even go to Cuba to sit on the beach. I think it's a personal thing with Castro. How long can that old coot hang on?? I hear the beaches there are fantastic but at this rate he is going to out live me too.
While we are on anniversarys, Greg dropped me this along with a link this AM. Yep he hasn't changed a bit although he is a lot nicer one on one. I won't post the link though. If for some reason your intrested drop him a line I'm sure he would be glad to hear from you. He is still reading this blog.

I'd tell you to leave Greag's e-mail, but he might get a lot of hate mail from Filthy.

USS Liberty? Isn't that the ship where Star Trek: Deep Space 9 ended with the peace treaty. Silly goose, you cannot have an anniversary of stuff that only happens the in the future!

That's pretty funny. But Greg always posted his email I'm sure anyone could get it off the archives.

Tiananmen, the perfect example of how NOT to suppress riots of idealistic students who easily get the sympathy of their peers all over the world. Keeping media away from the scene would have been much less harmful than literally crushing their freedom of speech.

Er, what? The Chinese, literally, crushed them to death not knowing there were camcorders recording some of it.

Umm... the tank attack was what I meant with
literally crushing their freedom of speech, except in 'media', I should've said 'videocameras recording the protest for international attention'.

The Communist government wanted to keep all protests secret, so they made a bad choice on the big one, and instead of just confiscating all their proof of it, they drove over the masses with tanks.

Wait a sec...I thought they were just shot. They drove tanks over them too? What the fuck...is this true?

"Just" shot? Yeah, "just" getting shot is sooooo much better than getting run over by a tank.

Well IM...I've been shot in the arm and almost crushed by a bus when I was a bike courier in my college days and I'll tell you I'd prefer being shot dead than crushed by a tank. Unless the gunshot involves having my dick being shot off...then I'd prefer the tank!
