1 The stock market isn't necessarily rallying because of Bush. The market doesn't like uncertainty. I.e. People don't know in what to invest unless they know who will be president in January. People invest in different things depending on who's running the country. With Bush in office, oil companies are definitely a good bet. Which is why you shouldn't count on Bush fixing our energy policy anytime soon. Those guys also don't believe that global warming is real science, even though it's as mainstream as any medical science. These hypocrites will go get heart surgery and then turn around and say global warming is crackpot science. It's hilarious. Anyway, new studies show the Arctic ice caps are melting at alarming rates. But there's an upside. When they melt, we can more easily drill for oil beneath the ice! Ain't that f'ing grand? So, no need to develop alternative fuels, or say, set up a hydrogen fueling infrastructure in the US. We'll just drill the Arctic dry. We'll have to wear wetsuits to keep from getting skin cancer, but who cares, because hopefully before long Jesus will return and rapture us all to heaven. Let those ungodly people deal with flooding in New York, no energy, massive deficits, world war in the Middle East, and more skin cancer than you can shake a stick at. They deserve it! Funny he didn't seem to mind moving the special forces that were tracking bin Laden out of Afghanistan -- when they were on a relatively hot trail -- and plunking them into Iraq, a nation which had not been bothering us, was not collaborating with al-Qaeda, and was not involved in anti-American terrorism.
